Pretty good for actual world building, not good for RPGs, DND or stories however. ### 4/5 — Nice *2025-11-05* Good app but you need a way to delete the map you make. Like the biomes and textures. Keep it up! **Developer response:** Hey, feitelberg. Make sure you're using the latest version of the app, and then long-press on the map you want to delete. It’s a very cool app — good on ya mate ### 4/5 — Beginners Dream! *2025-07-10* As a novice writer, dungeon master, and artist, this generator is a great beginner tool for world building! The toggles to change levels in items like sea level and climate are a little difficult to control on the phone, maybe put in a feature where you can enter a value to adjust more accurately? I’ve been having a LOT of fun with this and can’t wait to see what comes in future updates/apps! **Developer response:** Thanks for the kind words! I'll see about adding a direct-input feature in the future. :) ### 3/5 — Potential *2025-06-16* It’s alright. Maps just seem bland and it’s usually just one large landmass or a sea in the middle. Presets or world types and possible political maps and weather cycles? **Developer response:** I'll add political maps and weather cycles to my list for future updates, but in the meantime you can get lots of different world types (e.g. continental, archipelago, etc) by playing with the settings on the Elevation panel. Changing the Size slider will get you smaller landmasses, and the Detail slider will get you more variation. Otherwise the app is great **Developer response:** Thanks, I'll see about adding that in the future! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not good, but could be great *2026-07-14* To start, when editing the style of your map, you’re stuck viewing a grey height map, so you can’t even tell where the land, sea, or anything is. Secondly and honestly most importantly, the main “map making” tools are stuck behind a paywall. This is so uncool and makes this app practically useless. ### 1/5 — Horrible without paying *2026-03-10* I downloaded this after reading the reviews, and I saw one saying that the app is pointless without unlocking the features behind a paywall, but based on the developer response, I wasn't worried. But they were right. It's absolutely unusable without paying. Half of the tabs are locked behind a paywall. You only have access to two tabs, that do practically nothing when it comes to actually building the map. The only thing you can change, is the sea levels, and elevation (which is hard to even make out). You want biomes? Paywall. You want to label things? Paywall. Any detail at all? Paywall. Genuinely, the only map you can get without paying, is something that looks like just flat green and blue blobs splattered about. ### 1/5 — Its good but.. *2026-01-07* You could let us make custom land and custom countries with labels and maybe if theres a settings add a toggle that makes the map into a earth globe or add it somewhere ;) ### 1/5 — Hire developers *2025-09-09, version 1.7* Just because of premium version I will delete this app ### 1/5 — Literally pointless *2025-09-07, version 1.7* It will generate a random map and without paying for extras you can make next to no edits at all. Don’t get this ### 1/5 — Very limited without payment *2025-06-22* Has very little use unless you pay a $10 fee after download. What is available for free is very low quality and not useful. **Developer response:** You can do almost everything without unlocking Pro Mode. I'm an indie dev trying to make a living so I need to offer some extra stuff for money, but 4K versions and simulated biospheres isn't unreasonable as a premium feature. You don't have to spend a dime to make, customize, and share your maps, which is what the app is all about. ### 2/5 — Price paywall *2026-08-22* The price of 9 dollars is too much for a map game so I’d recommend less like 2 or 5 dollars so it would be worth it ☹️ ### 2/5 — No instructions *2025-05-28* Didn’t do much just created random ugly landmasses **Developer response:** I'll see about adding instructions in a future update. I was wondering if there'd ever be a commeunity or workshop for custom sprites? And also, if there'd ever be a way to make custom sprites.
