What I would like to see is being able to place structures and buildings ravines a to make it more accessible and fun to use more. Using the names of kingdoms, towns, cities from your other apps would be really cool. ### 3/5 — Good but could be much better *2024-02-06* It would be nice if you could further edit the map. Sometimes I find something I like but I would like to change some of it but you can’t without changing the whole map. For example I might want to add a big lake in the middle of a landmass or get rid of an island but you can’t really do that on here. No offense, it is pretty boring. I would suggest to add a template to edit, a mode to be able to make a game out of it (like rise of nations, dummynations, etc.), and/or have an option to make country borders. Ironically I found you through those espionage games first. ### 2/5 — I don’t really ever review apps but I had to with this and I apologize *2023-07-13* I wanted to use this to create maps with mountain ranges and rivers, lakes etc. the sliders seem to do whatever they want and even tho the flat looking maps can probably be useful, I will probably Be using a different app to create my maps because, like I said, previously, there is no topography for normal maps even tho there is a feature that gives the ability to see a sort of topography that can’t be used in a campaign in any of these maps, also, there is the problem with the globe feature, having no features of its own. I was very excited when I saw the app in the store but once I began using it I developed a headache, I never write reviews, but these are things that should be worked on because there are a lot of tabletop gamers, that would love something like this to create worlds for their campaigns. I don’t know how often you look at the reviews and I’m not sure how long it would take to fix those mistakes, but if those mistakes are fixed, I would absolutely recommend this app to others and use it myself, even for a price of may be five or $10 because those features are well worth it. **Developer response:** Thanks for the honest feedback, and I'll see what I can do in a future update! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — You can’t really do anything *2025-08-08* You have to pay for most of the features and you can’t do anything with the map, you can’t even see the whole map, I do not recommend. ### 1/5 — ugh *2024-12-20, version 2.1* why so much straight lines? I want to be able to customize the ecosystem according to various environmental characteristics. The 2D map doesn't have a oval edge around it, to show the planet’s curvature? There is no 3D look at the terrain/ map? No weather or ocean pattern analysis options? The zoom out on the planet needs improvement! No option for zooming in, or editing while in that mode. Can barely see it… I wanted to use this for writing stories, but it just didn't have the features needed to create more in-depth details necessary for world building. **Developer response:** The elevation map is a raw B&W heightmap, and thus doesn't show sea level, but the other styles all do. There's no oval edge around the 2D map because it's not necessarily a map of the whole planet, it could just be a region. The other features I'll add to my list for future updates, though. It’s easy to use, the only one of it’s kind, and best of all, free. I really enjoy it. That being said, I see a ton of potential for future updates. Some big ones are different map projections (Mercator, Robinson, etc.), globe controls (speed, lighting, etc.), and the ability to edit the layout of the map. I would also like to see a map mode like Elevation, but dependent on sea level.
