I learned more about the game by playing this way (in addition to bga and in-person play). ### 3/5 — Long animations *2026-06-19, version 1.6* Fun game but scoring animations take too long. Developer mentioned a way to speed it up, but even at top speed they take about 50 seconds every game. With games around four minutes, this means 1/4 of the game is spent waiting. The score is already on the card, the animations just break down the total, they’re not giving new information. It’s not the smoothest user experience (every time I have to re-log in it’s a struggle), and there are some features that would be nice additions or help with some quality of life, but overall, it’s not bad. The game is fun, the way the shapes show up when you click around the screen are helpful, and I’ve gotten to practice some strategies I wouldn’t normally think about for the next time I play the board game with friends. I hope that there are plans to add some of the other expansions/maps to the game. I’ve had: - the game be offset from where you click. In other words when I touched a spot in the screen, it would activate something two spots down (making the game near impossible to play). - when in the middle of a puzzle with special rules, if I had to go do something and the phone shut off, when I came back to the game the special rules part would have disappeared and the point system didn’t work. - now it’s just telling me I’m offline and can’t log in or register at all. I tak je to hratelné, akorát řekněme že nepodporuje multitasking. Oproti deskovce je hra mnohem rychlejší, ovládání skvělé (když nenarazíte na zmíněnou chybu), 2 herní módy navíc (stejné úkoly na týden jsou super). Ale naopak z deskovky je lepší pocit a deskovka je kreslením zároveň příjemnou aktivitou. It’s awesome when you get a high score, you feel like you really achieved something. All for a great price with no ads or IAP, and a small file size, and it’s good on battery too. In portrait mode! *2024-01-21* It took me a bit to get used to the controls, but once I did, it’s very easy to play. I watched a walkthrough video online to get the gist of the strategy, and that helped. The game is strategic but relaxing. It’s the best roll and write type of game I’ve ever played. I like that a game only takes 5-10 minutes, perfect for on the go. And I appreciate the small file size and portrait orientation, as I don’t like holding my phone in landscape. Thank you developer for doing this game so well, and fairly, too, with no ads or mandatory IAP. The app is easy to use and fast to play. I love that several expansions are also available as add-ons. I don’t agree with the reviews that say the app has bad randomness. As far as I can tell, it works just like the physical game. I have played the physical and digital games extensively, and they match closely. ### 5/5 — Faithful adaptation of the board game *2022-11-23, version 1.2.4* I love the board game and have all the map packs and mini-expansions. So I knew I had to get the app version. The app is very faithful to the game and I have spent hours and hours playing it. The only tiny thing I miss is that the flavor text included in the rules manual for each scoring card is absent in the app. I love reading about the world and miss those little details being in the game, but I also understand it is probably a pain to figure out a way to include something that isn’t needed.
