## What is CartPulse?

Track every grocery dollar before you get to the register.

CartPulse is the budget-first grocery companion that watches your cart total in real time, remembers what each item used to cost, and tells you whether the price on the shelf is a deal, normal, or a spike. Set a budget for the trip, scan the Cart Pulse bar slide from green to amber to red, and walk out without that "wait, how did I spend that much?" feeling.

No accounts. No cloud. No ads tracking what's in your basket. Everything stays on your iPhone.

WHAT MAKES CARTPULSE DIFFERENT

- Cart Pulse hero: one tile shows your trip total, budget remaining, and a per-aisle split — color-coded so you know at a glance whether you're on track.
- Smart aisle tagging: every item lands in Produce, Dairy, Meat, Pantry, Frozen, Bakery, Snacks, Beverages, Household, Personal Care, or Other — see where the money actually goes.
- Price Memory: every price you log goes into a rolling history. Next time you reach for the same item, CartPulse calls it a Deal, Normal, Creeping Up, or Spike based on YOUR price history — not a crowdsourced average that doesn't match your store.
- Per-store budgets (Pro): Walmart vs. Whole Foods are not the same trip. Save a different budget per store and CartPulse pre-fills it.
- Trip history: revisit every shopping trip, see what you bought, what you paid, and what was over budget.
- CSV Export (Pro): one tap shares your whole trip history as a clean CSV — perfect for taxes, household reimbursement, or just seeing six months of spending in a spreadsheet.
- Custom warn-at threshold: get a heads-up at 70%, 80%, or 90% of budget — your call.
- Round-prices-up mode: build in a $0.01-$0.99 buffer per item so the tax bill doesn't surprise you at checkout.

CartPulse is fully usable for free: unlimited trips, unlimited items, the full Cart Pulse hero, every aisle breakdown. Pro unlocks the Trip Budget tracker (per-store budgets + warn-at threshold), the full Price Memory (10-deep history per item + spike/deal verdicts), CSV Export, and removes ads.

Pro is $2.99/month with a 7-day free trial. Cancel anytime in Settings before the trial ends and you won't be charged.

PRIVACY YOU CAN ACTUALLY VERIFY

No sign-up. No email. No analytics SDK. The only network call CartPulse makes is for the ad banner on the free tier and the StoreKit purchase. Your grocery list, your budgets, your price history — they live on your phone, full stop.
