My son and I skied 5 days in early season conditions. A limited number of lifts and trails were open compared to the previous season at the same days of the month. We were blessed with well groomed slopes and not very crowded runs. The feedback from the app was great and I was able to show improvement. Back in Washington State, we had a slow opening of our season with multiple atmospheric rivers affecting the snowpack and damaging roads. The Summit at Snoqualmie had limited operations which required some creative problem solving for the ski schools that normally operate on 2 areas being combined into one for the multi-week group lessons. A combination of grooming machines equipped with LIDAR and RADAR plus new snowmaking and harvesting snow from snow removal on the roads and parking lots, kept the area in operation into April. With teaching, instructor clinics, I didn’t use CARV2 every day I skied. The major source of frustration for me and it clearly has more to do with the type of snow and I encountered, but it doesn’t translate well into Ski/scores and curve. That is particularly very hard pack/near ice conditions. Skiing in these conditions, which unfortunately is what we had pretty much every morning when I was at Whistler makes practicing card skills tough at the best of times. Most of your instruction understandably appears on beautifully groomed slopes. This has not been my reality this year in skiing except for skiing at Marmot Basin. More skills related to very hard back/ice conditions and even some scoring metrics would help further my Ski experience with Carv. In. Other than that keep up the great work. They essentially took $286 of mine and then I have never heard from them since. I’ve called them, emailed them, and did their online chat bot and none of them have responded to me. The chat bot said they will get a team member and it’s been four hours and no team member has reached out. Do not buy unless you are ok with paying $250+ for nothing. ### 1/5 — Beware of bugs pro max *2026-01-11, version 9.4.2* This app has always been somewhat buggy. But this season is so bad it’s completely unusable. Half the buttons in the app don’t even work. Can’t pause my workout, can’t change the coaching type, can’t invite friends, can’t add friends, can’t see notifications about friend invites. I will be asking for a refund. Can’t use the app. I don’t recommend it to anyone until the app, which is the ONLY way to use the carv sensors is fixed. Given that they’ve not fixed any of the bugs I’ve reported 1-2 years ago, and it’s catastrophically worse this year. I have no faith in Carvs engineering team to fix anything. Prove me wrong. ### 1/5 — The company discriminates existing customer; *2025-12-27, version 9.4.0* I have used the service for a year and I was one of the happy customers until I found that renewal price for the subscription is much more than New enrollment, since they give $119 sensors free for the new customers at $249 while existing customers like me has to pay $249 for renewal. Without the sensors. Can anyone understand this? I asked the company and they say it is RIGHT and I need to find their sale time to get anything under the price. Then so be it. I’ve never seen any companies who don’t value their existing customers prosper. I was charged too much money for my subscription this year. Since I’m not able to create a support ticket in the app, due to the AI assistant telling me: „What else can I help you with“ for everything I type in there without solving my issue or allowing me to create a ticket, please get back to me. They give you the sensors for “free” but than you pay a huge amount of money every year or every time you want to go skiing. Sadly, they’ve switched out the old, but much better sensors for cheaper ones that aren’t nearly as good. On top of that, the tips have gotten fewer, and less useful. But the most important thing is that the app is riddled with bugs that completely break the app the point it needs to be deleted off of your phone and reinstalled. Often several times per ski day. Bugs I’ve reported to them, but have gone completely ignored.
