I went back into the offer just to make sure I had all the correct information and apparently because I changed the mileage from 46,000 to 44,000 (because I honestly couldn’t remember the exact number) my offer went down to $15,000. Actually, it went to $19,000, then to $16,500, then $15,000; all without changing a single thing about the condition of my car. That is a $4,600 total reduction because I decreased the mileage by 2,000 miles. It made absolutely no sense and confirmed that Carvana’s offers are almost entirely nonsense. Support then confirmed the only thing that changed originally was the mileage from 46,000 to 44,000, and said they would escalate my issue. Just got an email from Carvana saying they would not honor their original offer and now instead of me getting a few thousand dollars to put down on my next vehicle, I WOULD OWE THEM MONEY TO SELL THEM MY CAR! I was actually going to do a trade-in with them for the tax benefits. Now, instead I will inform everyone I know purchasing/selling their vehicle to stay away from Carvana. The whole interaction felt very scummy and predatory. ### 1/5 — I can see why there are 5 star reviews but we had a bad run *2026-08-22, version 7.18.1* Traded in a 2024 Mazda CX-50. Asked about tires in the intake (ours had <5k miles). Price was within $1k of a local dealer and we opted for convenience to trade and receive a car in 1 transaction. Bought a Tesla Model Y. During delivery we see a nasty multi directional gash in the front tire and the tires are near end of life (not in the listing). We assumed if they asked for condition of our tires they would replace or disclose the tire situation when selling. Driver says take the car and call Carvana. We had phone calls for 3 weeks, multiple trips to tire stores, insurance calls. All to be offered $250 on what was required $1,500 tires. Was going to offer taking the car back which is stupid, that was $990 in shipping they were willing to eat. Offer me the shipping for free at $990 and I’ll go buy new tires, the difference is fair I bought a used car. They easily made $6-7k on the deal, I’m not asking anyone to lose but this was a bad experience. Also had an outlet melted at my house and realized the charger that came with the car was actually an off brand one. I was going to buy another car from them based on the initial experience but hate dealing with companies that can’t use common sense. We will as a family be telling anyone who asks to skip Carvana as a service. ### 1/5 — I regret buying from Carvana *2026-08-20, version 7.18.1* I bought a car from Carvana. They claim they did a thorough inspection on it. A week later I discovered all 4 tires had safety issues which I could not have seen on my own. I was told that if some actual inspected the car, they didn’t know what they were doing. The tires could have fallen off at high speed. I reported this to Carvana and they replied “sorry”. Now I’m have a problem with the alternator and battery (even after buying a new battery on my own). While trying to used the Carvana app, I suddenly received texts from Carvana. I hadn’t even finished requesting an appointment. It seemed like some was spying on me. I found out the text was from a Carvana AI robot. This was to weird and cast more doubt about Carvana. I regret buying from Carvana. ### 1/5 — Bad delivery service *2026-08-13, version 7.17* Order a vehicle from here no problem until it got time to deliver the vehicle. Waited for 3 days when it was time, I picked my best option to be here to receive in the 3 hour window. Which was confirm with them. They decided to deliver it early then the time I scheduled. So long story short. They tell me I’m not available within the three hour window that I will have to reschedule being mindful. I told them, this is the only time I have to receive it and was well within the three hour window. They did not work with me to make this happen. I had to cancel my vehicle order, be mindful. It’s a 2019 titanium ford fusion In picture 14 of the car it shows keys with remote start and everything it shows up and I get handed keys after signing everything and then I look at the keys and I was handed rental keys and I asked the Carvana tow guy about it he said “let me look and confirm, oh yes you’re right it does come with remote start well….. just call them tomorrow and they will fix it.so tonight I’m sitting at home after a 14 hour shift trying to see about the keys I was told by Samantha “oh isn’t it a shame when expectations don’t become reality””those are the keys we was given if u want to get new keys it’s a extra charge” so I’m like okay but in the photos you guys took of the car it shows these keys I wasn’t given those keys and samatha said “well does the key given work? Well since they work there’s nothing I can do you’ll have to buy keys with the remote start for your car” so what about the photo of the keys? I just want my damn remote start I was treating myself and upgrading from and 300k mile 2005 Camry :( very disappointed in trying to use Carvana when I heard SOOOO much amazing stuff about them from family and coworkers ### 1/5 — False Advertising *2026-08-02, version 7.15.1* I was offered an approval with my moderate credit and paid the down payment upfront along with a 100 hold when the car became available. When it dropped I paid the insurance out and provided proof of income as well as long term employment. After all of that I was contacted to lay that I need a third part lender or consignment. Which was out of the question.
