I still can get the Xpress to pair or do anything. The app is wildly confusing and counter intuitive. I can't understand how these people stay in business. Had I known things would be this confusing and complicated. I never would've had these lights installed. I regret that decision every day. So if you're reading this really investigate. I would not get anything that Casambi makes. I would not get any of the fancy lights Grappi or AND. There are complicated and expensive and very few people know how to install them or operate them. All I get is double talk from various contractors. I'm so upset with the entire situation. And if you'd like to spare yourself that annoys an enormous waste of money, then don't buy lights that require anything related to Casambi. ### 1/5 — Frustratingly inconsistent app *2025-02-12, version 3.16.1 B725* The most frustrating and counterintuitive app I’ve ever used. Pair that with lights that break easily and are not bright enough and you’ve just sunk thousands of dollars on a system that wastes your time more than anything else. Please just auto update the firmware and stop asking me every time I am opening up the business? I don’t have time to sit there and update an app when I am trying to let other people into the establishment, nor am I trying to sit there and update when I am trying to close the business and go home. I beg anyone who is considering installing this system to think other wise. Use a ladder and stick with physical buttons, this entire app and its consequent lighting system is a complete nightmare and a waste of money. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2025-01-07, version 3.16.1 B725* This is the worst app I have ever had the displeasure of using. It is extremely unintuitive and rarely makes sense. 1 star because I can’t give it any less. ### 1/5 — Unreliable! *2019-05-02, version 2.12.11* I use it as a dimmer. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Frustrating. ### 1/5 — No support available *2019-01-07* I purchased lamps from Germany to install in Mexico and am having zero luck with any technical issues. Casambi has zero online support. No YouTube videos. Only one manual. I’m going to uninstall and discard. Bye-bye! ### 2/5 — Great idea, bad product *2016-10-17* App keeps crashing trying to open camera to take picture. ### 3/5 — Such a frustrating app to use *2024-11-03, version 3.15.3 B710* The UI in this app is so inconsistent. Sometimes single tap, sometimes double tap to go back. Single tapping outside the group window doesn’t go back to the full home list, like it would in iOS Home Screen. Instead it turns off the group. You have to double tap to go back. But a single tap will go back if editing a fixture property. Nightmare trying to scroll down the list, as often end up changing level of a fixture if not scrolling by swiping in the small gaps between the icons. When fine adjusting a level with the plus and minus, often results in snapping to full or off, since the slider is so close to the plus and minus. The fixture identify process is very difficult. Since the signal strength is not reliable. Making it very hard to identify a single fixture when you have 100 fixtures! This app could be so much better with some UI tweaks. But currently I hate having to program a Casambi system. ### 3/5 — Needs Siri shortcuts *2018-12-01, version 2.12.7* This is a pretty good app. It’s easy to set up different lighting and timers. I just wish it would integrate with Siri Shortcuts so I could ask Siri to turn my lights on! ### 4/5 — Very good *2013-12-26* Simple, intuitive. Like it. Do what it should do. It’s great to see someone trying something different.
