When I select a topic, there is a button to go to the sample chapter, but when I tap it, it just says, "sample chapter downloading..." and nothing happens. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I tried restarting my phone. The app still didn't work. I didn't try the purchased content because there is no option anywhere to purchase content. FYI, my phone is brand new and all my other apps work. I'm really surprised they put this app on the App Store without more testing. **Developer response:** Hi. Thanks for letting us know about this problem you were having. Because the content is downloaded from the internet after the app is installed, it is important that you have a strong wifi connection when using this app. The content may not have downloaded if you were on a 3G connection and didn't have a strong enough signal. Please try again with the latest version and the content should download without any issues, if you are using a strong wifi connection. ### 1/5 — Not what you're looking for *2014-08-05* Anyone who wants the most updated app you need to search for "Case Files (blank)" whether it be psychiatry or whatever. This app is not up to date so don't buy anything through it! You will NOT get the updated version! **Developer response:** This app has been updated and it contains all the latest Case Files editions, as well as the older editions which were bought by users. Users are able to update to the editions that they purchased. Each edition is considered a separate title. Please contact us if we can assist you or answer any other questions you may have. ### 3/5 — Great Cases - frequent crashes *2019-04-13* The app is effectively organized and the content is great. Unfortunately the app crashes frequently. ### 3/5 — Solid content, poor Graphic User Interface *2015-05-05* The content is identical to the Case Files text. My biggest gripe is that the font size is HUGE. There is not an option to decrease the font size, neither on the iPhone or iPad. This would make it much easier to use this app. **Developer response:** We have fixed the issue with the font size so it's no longer huge and you can adjust it according to your preference. ### 3/5 — Looks hideous on iphone 6 plus *2015-01-21* The content is of high quality. That said the app should be fixed as it is currently horrendous on the iphone 6 plus- the text and buttons are enormous with no ability to change font size that is . It is downright awful looking **Developer response:** The font size issue was fixed in 2016, so now users can adjust the size to what works best for them. ### 4/5 — good app, need to work on highlight function! *2016-06-22* very convenient app! would rate it higher if the highlighting function could be improved, no limit on how many words being helighted. would be even better if have underline, cross through function! **Developer response:** We have just finished work on a new update being released now, where we have fixed the highlight functionality. Now, there is no limit on the number of words that can be highlighted and any highlight can be undone as well. ### 4/5 — Good, not great *2015-11-11* The content is all there and I love that it's always in my pocket, but the interface could use some work. Some customizable it would be nice like font size. I hate that you have to highlight at least 30 characters. Please get rid of that limitation. **Developer response:** We have just released a new update to address the issues you have brought up: 1) No limit on the highlight functionality. You can now highlight less than 30 characters. 2) You can change the font size of the text for each of the titles included in this app. ### 4/5 — helpful for medical students *2014-08-13* This app has such a great variety of case files, which as a med student, helps a lot. I love the included quizzes and case notes. I have recommended this app to a few of my classmates, and they love it too. ### 5/5 — It delivers *2016-03-13* It covers all relevant topics with all necessary information for future decision-maling process. I recommend it for medical and nursing students too. ### 5/5 — Excellent App for Clinical Rotations *2014-12-15* I'm using this app on an iPad Mini 2. I regret not getting it for my first 3 rotations (Peds, Psych, Family Med). I did get purchase the ~$30 In-App Purchase for OB/Gyn (which you have to do for each field of study) at the beginning of the rotation that I just finished. It proved to be a great, quick study tool throughout the day at the hospital. I'm definitely going to continue using it for Internal Med and Surgery. I HIGHLY recommend this to any 3rd year medical student trying to hone in on your knowledge in the spare minutes between patients, at lunch break, etc. As long as you use Case Files as a supplemental tool along with a textbook rather than your only study tool, you'll find it very helpful! ### 5/5 — Very informative *2014-08-19* This app has a bunch of information at your fingertips and is very convenient. The chapter downloads are fast and text is clear and big.
