I saw in a previous review that the developer said it was coming in v1.3 but it looks like it did not make it to the update. I can’t imagine why you don’t have this feature. ### 3/5 — “Sync” is a misleading word (with Apple Music playlists) *2023-03-31* The new sync feature, which requires a subscription, doesn’t actually sync playlists with Apple Music. Caset support indicated it wasn’t possible for a 3rd party to remove songs from a playlist. Adding songs seems to work just fine, which is why I gave 3-stars even though I felt a bit mislead about the full sync capability. ### 3/5 — Slow on larger playlists *2023-01-04* Slow plus shuffle doesn’t seem to work properly, playlist is over 300 songs **Developer response:** Hi, it’ll be fixed in version 2.0 which is releasing in a few weeks. You can join the beta today from the Setting tab within the app. ### 3/5 — syncing? *2023-01-02, version 1.4* This is really promising but I think the ability to sync the mixtape/playlist back to a music service is the big missing feature. I can play it right in the Caset app, but I don’t always want to. I want Caset to be the collaborative intermediary that can bridge across limitations in Apple Music or even better, across friends that don’t have the same streaming service. I don’t really want Caset to be my primary listening app ### 3/5 — Ok, but needs work *2022-12-20* The concept is good, but even basic features like shuffle don’t work correctly **Developer response:** Hi, Shuffle functionality is a bug in iOS 16. Update: Will be fixed with the release of iOS 16.3 ### 4/5 — Love It...but shuffle feature isn't working *2022-11-02* Love the app and integration with Apple Music. Use it daily, but the Shuffle feature stopped working about a week ago and the app wants to play the songs in order based off however they are sorted. Shuffle feature is a must-have. **Developer response:** Looks like this is a bug in iOS 16, I am working with Apple on this one. -Ashwin ### 2/5 — Good Concept, but useless *2022-09-25* When I saw this app, it looked great. So, I downloaded it, but it is useless to me because of this: if you have an Apple ID that is under 13, you cannot use the app. Why? Because you cannot create an account without using an Apple ID, and you cannot create an account using an under 13 Apple ID. This could be easily solved with adding an alternative sign up method such as email or phone number, but until that happens, this app is completely useless. ### 4/5 — Great app - just a couple of missing features *2022-06-30, version 1.3* This is a very cool app. I’ve been looking like something like this for a while since Apple Music doesn’t offer shared playlists like Spotify. The only thing keeping this from five stars is the lack of native CarPlay support. I listen to music in my car a lot and not being able to use the app in CarPlay is a major miss. Also, add Shortcuts support that I could send a song to a playlist from Apple Music via the share sheet. ### 2/5 — This app is awesome but could be so much more… *2022-06-16* Myself and a few buddies of mine use this app when we golf. We were looking for an app that allowed us to create a apple playlist together so we all can listen to each others music on a single playlist on different golf carts. When the app works, it’s a great experience. When it doesn’t, is can cause some frustration. The issues we are having with the app is that sometimes it will shut down completely or pause our songs for no reason when checking the time on the Lock Screen or even tapping the screen to awaken it. Our phones are put onto phone holders by Desert Fox so they doesn’t vibrate around everywhere when going to the next out of bounds ball or going over stumps and roots. So from our perspective, it’s not our phones causing this issue. If the CASET team can take a look into this as it’s been a minute since the last update, that would be greatly appreciated. **Developer response:** I’m so happy to read this review and to know you’re using it listen to music with your friends. About the issue you’re running into, this is first I’m hearing about this, it could be technical issue (maybe you have a large group of friends or a really long mix, which is not often the case). I can’t find a reason why this wouldn’t be included. Many of my playlists simply don’t work because they are all put in backwards. Signed up for pro to create a family playlist, but no one under 13 can use this app at all because the only way to sign in is with your Apple ID. Apple prevents anyone under 13 from signing into apps using Apple ID and there isn’t another way to sign in. Why isn’t there another way to sign in? **Developer response:** Sorry about that, this is currently a restriction of signing in with Apple. Other login options will be added to the app soon. They’ve found a niche with a hole Apple has yet to enhance, but IMO it’s missing one key functionality. Not everyone wants to deal with another app. If they merely acted as a connection between 2 or more individuals’ playlists it could be a seamless integration. If I update my mix tape associated playlist it should be pulled into the server and then cascaded across the other users playlists they associated to the group’s mix tape. Maybe I’m missing something, but I haven’t found that ability yet in this app. I’d be willing to pay a one time fee for that basic ability. I don’t really need all the extras. This app worked perfectly and contrary to what i though was not hard to set up would 100% download this app to play your playlists. another awesome thing is there premium is not shoved down your throat every 10 seconds and it doesn’t block the apps main function thank you devs great app! ### 5/5 — Might Solve Apple’s Broken “Collaborative” Playlists *2022-07-06* I want to use this app to help solve the issue of not being able to edit shared playlists in Apple Music. My wife and I share playlists, but whomever receives the share can’t add to it. This is a ridiculous Apple limitation, and I’m hoping this solves it. Developer was very quick to respond to feature request idea. Looking forward to using this more. **Developer response:** Not exact sure why, but this could be some kind of sync issue with Apple Music.
