It’s super easy to use, set up, and manage. Keep track of your inventory, your cash register, prices, and even emails customers a receipt. I used this for a greenhouse shop, and this works perfectly for what I needed; however, it doesn’t give you the option to include a discount. For example, one of my products came with free personalization but I couldn’t take the price off for that. Another thing is when your device shuts off, you have to log completely back in which is time consuming. It allows you to keep record of customers too; like if your a business who has customers receive something monlrhy or whatever. My students have a garden and sell the vegetables at a weekly farmer's market. They also make crafts and baked goods. The goal of the farmer's market is to help students with social skills, math, and executive function skills. The Cashier app allows my students to organize their products by type and arrange the icons on the page by assigning icons to a specific row and column. This allowed for a discussion about how to classify our products. Students also can see applications of matrices. Furthermore, my students take the data to monitor inventory and are graphing sales by time of day and amount sold to make decisions for preparing for next week's inventory. My students will be in the work place in a few years and it is important they feel comfortable with using technology. By using this app, my students can focus on interpersonal skills and executive functioning skills. My students are nervous about interacting with customers and making mistakes. The app displays the items already entered so my students can go back and check that they have entered the customer's selection correctly. With pencil and paper or a calculator, it can be confusing which items have been entered. Once, my students are comfortable with running the market, I will ask one student to use the app and the other to use mental math. However, it is the data analysis that is more important to me. We can use the data collected using Cashier in math class to analyze our sales. This app has many options for customization.
