The major flaws are it calculates driver arrival and eta times based on straight line distances, which can be a difference of an hour when a city is on both sides of a bay and the app assumes cars can fly across a harbour. It also uses icabbi s maps and not google level details which means for a lot of industrial pick ups the app sends drivers to the ‘wrong’ map location. It is not a good replacement for local knowledge. ### 2/5 — Not great *2025-07-30, version 8.22.0* Always says the cab is 1 min away no matter where it is. You have the option to choose 4 or 6 seater. I’ve ordered a 6 seater several times only to get cars that can’t actually sit 6. I travel with a disabled person using a walker and they require more space. I don’t need 6 seats but I do need something larger than a Prius, but I have no way to specify a larger vehicle. ### 3/5 — Price estimate *2025-07-01, version 8.21.0* I want to use the app but yesterday when I called for a short intercity cab the price estimate was several thousand dollars. Not knowing where that would lead I dropped the estimate and phoned it in. ### 4/5 — Addresses App suggests for your pick up location… *2024-12-06, version 8.18.0* Love the functionality, convenience and speed of the app. However, in my experience, users should double check the address that the app indicates as your pick-up location. In my case, anyway, I often have to manually select my pick-up location over the suggested one. This is a minor snag with an app that always works very well. Most reliable no matter the weather. Show up even in storms. No wonder that Uber is taking your business. Very dissatisfied by what it is supposed to be a local company. Leaving a woman on the street mid late night is not acceptable. I was refunded after I asked however if I hadn’t have noticed, I likely would have been double charged. They charge for waiting time, so if you get stuck in traffic, you could be in trouble. For just three seconds of waiting, you’ll be charged about 30 cents. Worst!!!!! I would better use an Uber. Uninstalling right now!! ### 1/5 — Not worth it *2024-08-21, version 8.14.0* Today I’ve tried the casino app first time by my friend’s recommendation, as it was told to be the best taxi service in HRM and sometimes even cheaper than Uber. I have ordered a cab, waited approximately 10 minutes to arrive, even though application showed “driver arrived at the pickup location” in fact, driver didn’t park at the right spot, and I had to search like 5 minutes the driver around the whole parking area to get into the car, because app didn’t allow me to contact the driver through text or call there were communication tools given. Then the app was showing me “no show” on my trip so I couldn’t even track it from my side, the approximate price on the booking wasn’t correct and even close. In conclusion: I have paid $5 more than I usually pay for Uber, therefore I’ll better stay with Uber having cheaper rides with better application tools and services. Extremely sketchy app and service. 0 stars. ### 1/5 — Calling is better *2023-08-01, version 8.5.1* I have used the app twice, and was charged 35$ each time. My rides were 12$ and 9$. That isn’t cool when you might only have enough for the ride. Why 25$ at first, and not the actually amount. I order McD’s by app and I do get charged more than what I order? So change that. I love using casino taxi, but that issue with the app, makes ordering a cab a uncomfortable ride. They know the city streets, and always manage to pick me up and deliver me to my destination in a timely fashion. They will assist me in getting my bags to my door, if necessary.
