## What is Cassette Player?

Your music, on tape.

Cassette Player turns every album into a real cassette. Press play and the key clicks down, the motor catches and the reels start turning. Turn the tape over for side B. Browse your library as a shelf of cases and take one out to see its songs.

Play anything from Apple Music, or your own music files.

MAKE IT YOURS
• Clear, moulded and classic tapes, each modelled in 3D
• Draw on the tape with your finger or Apple Pencil, or bring a drawing back from Procreate
• Turn a photo into a halftone print on your tape
• On iPad, a real speaker on a circuit board: choose the board, the speaker, the glass, day or night
• On iPhone, choose the body colour and what the little screen shows

MADE WITH CARE
• Every part of the player built in 3D and lit like a product photo
• Key sounds, haptics and a tape you can flip
• Lock-screen controls, AirPods, and a Home Screen widget

CASSETTE STUDIO
Listening is free: Apple Music without limits, and 25 of your own songs, on the classic white tape. Try drawing and photo prints on your tape before you decide. Cassette Studio unlocks every tape, look, doodle, drawing and photo print, and all your own songs, with one payment. No subscription, yours for life on all your iPhones and iPads.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-11-01

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-30

Apple Music plays again. A fault in 1.0 could stop an Apple Music song a moment after you pressed Play, so the reels turned in silence. This update fixes it: Apple Music tapes play through, song after song, with the key clicks and room listening alongside. Your own music files were never affected. And if a song can't start, the key now pops up instead of the tape running on quietly.
