## What is Cast Iron Skillet Cookbook?

Cast iron cooks differently. Cinder is the cookbook that knows it.

Every recipe in Cinder is written for the heavy pan: which heat source (stovetop, oven, or stovetop to oven), the exact heat level, whether the lid goes on, how long it cooks, how long it rests and what internal temperature to pull it at. Then the Pans tab does what no cookbook does: it remembers every coat of oil on every skillet you own and tells you when the next one is due.

WHAT YOU GET
• Nail the sear every time: each recipe states heat level, lid on or off, cook and rest minutes and the target internal temperature
• Start cooking tonight with ten heritage classics: cast iron ribeye, skillet cornbread, Dutch oven beans, buttermilk biscuits, smashed burgers and more
• Keep your own family recipes in the same clear format, with favorites, search and sorting by name, cook time or heat
• Know exactly when each pan needs oil: log every re-seasoning with the oil, the coats and how it took, on the interval you choose
• Get a reminder the day a pan comes due, so a skillet never goes dull or rusts at the back of the cupboard
• Start the cook timer from any recipe with one tap and hear a chime when the minutes are up

PERFECT FOR
• Daily cooks whose main skillet never leaves the stove
• Dutch oven and camp cooks who braise, bake and stew over live heat
• Anyone caring for an inherited or vintage pan with a story behind it
• Beginners on their first skillet who want to build seasoning right from day one

WHY NOT JUST USE A REGULAR RECIPE APP?
General cookbooks treat a skillet like any other pan. They rarely say whether to finish in the oven, whether the lid stays on or how long the meat rests, and none of them remember when you last oiled your pan. Cinder is built around the two things cast iron cooking actually depends on: managing heat and keeping the seasoning alive.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
Your recipes and your pan log live on this device. No account, no ads, no tracking and no internet required. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your phone, never sent from a server.

FULL ACCESS
Cinder requires a subscription to use. Choose a weekly or yearly plan, or make a one-time lifetime purchase. Weekly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; payment is charged to your Apple ID account and can be managed in your App Store account settings. The lifetime option is a single purchase with no renewal.

Add your skillet, log its last coat of oil and cook the ribeye tonight.
