## What is Casto Flasher?

Casto Flasher is a vehicle coding and configuration app for BMW cars. It connects to your own car through an OBD adapter that you plug into the diagnostic socket yourself, reads how the car is configured, and writes coding changes for the factory options your car supports.

Everything happens over that local adapter connection, with you at the car. The app has no remote functionality: it cannot locate, unlock, start or otherwise operate a vehicle, and it does nothing at all when the adapter is not connected.

WHAT IT CAN CODE

- Remote Engine Start: the coding for the manufacturer's own remote start option. Once it is coded, the option is used the way the factory intended, from the car's key fob or from BMW's own My BMW app. Casto Flasher plays no part in that: it is not involved in starting the car and is not even running. The engine runs for up to 15 minutes and then stops on its own, the car stays locked, and the heated seats and heated steering wheel come on where the car has them.
- Top Speed Limiter Raised: the electronic top speed limiter set to the figure the factory specifies for your model.
- More options are being prepared. The app shows a new one as soon as it is ready for your car.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Plug the MHD Universal adapter into your car's diagnostic socket.
2. Let the app check the car. This is free, takes about five minutes, and changes nothing on the car.
3. Choose an option and pay once. The purchase belongs to that one car.
4. Come back to the car and hold to code. About six minutes, while you stand next to it.

THE HONEST PART

- The check is the only real answer to "will this work on my car". A model name and a year are not enough, because two cars that look identical on paper can answer differently. The app decides at your car, before you pay anything.
- Treat a coding change as one that stays. Reverting it is being built and will be free.
- Changes to a car's configuration can affect what a dealer covers. If that matters to you, ask your dealer before you buy.

You need the MHD Universal adapter, bought separately. We answer in English and German.
