I paid $10 for the GPS-guided golf cart map because we wanted to see all of Catalina’s viewpoints and have a smooth self-guided experience. Unfortunately, the map never finished downloading to my phone, so I was unable to use the app at all. We only had a limited amount of time on the island, and instead of enjoying the tour, we spent time trying to get the app to work. There was no benefit from the purchase because the map never became accessible. The idea behind the app is great, but if the map won’t download when you need it, it’s useless. For us, it was a complete waste of $10. **Developer response:** Hello! We are so sorry that you had trouble downloading the map!! Sometimes the internet can be slow here depending on your carrier and we always try to suggest if possible to download using WiFi. The GPS-guided maps are accurate and make it very easy to navigate around the island, especially during golf cart rides and cycling trips. I really liked how clearly the app highlights scenic spots, viewpoints, routes, and local attractions. The interface is smooth, user-friendly, and extremely helpful for first-time visitors. The audio tour and location-based guidance make the overall experience even better and more interactive. If you are visiting Catalina Island, this app is definitely worth downloading. This app had clear directions and a super helpful map to get you to every scenic spot in Avalon. With each stop, you’d play a quick audio clip that was full of interesting fun facts and history. We’ve rented a golf cart on Catalina before, but my friends and I all agreed that this audio app gave us a completely different experience, in the best way!
