Besonders für das neue Connect echt klasse. Ein Nachteil gibt es aber, dass nicht alle Erweiterungen in der App sind. Wir haben z.B. Entdecker&Piraten und Händler& Babaren, dieses wollen wir mit neuen Freunden spielen. Die App erklärt leicht die Regeln, jedoch nicht zu diesen Erweiterungen. ### 4/5 — Change the name *2026-01-08* I was looking for an app to play catan on and I downloaded this one thinking you can play the game on it. Maybe just change the name to ‘rules of catan’ or something like that. Otherwise everything else seemed fine for me. My family is not one to sit through instructions on games like this. Unfortunately, the version we bought, Catan the game, was and is not yet included. We were able to start, but the development cards are not the same. But the concept is similar. One mistake tho - in the rulebook, white starts with grain, brick, lumber. But the app makes white starts with resources from its other settlement - lumber, ore, and wool. They should note somewhere that the app deviates from the rulebook. Have fun playing! 😊 ### 1/5 — Worst app ever *2025-01-12* This app is completely useless, except as a case study in how NOT to write iOS apps. 1. It has a useless name. Calling it “Assistant” is not helpful. 2. For no discernible reason it only works in landscape orientation. 3. Despite having a Catan icon, it has nothing to do with Catan. It shows a whole bunch of titles under the categories New Games, Family, Kids, Adults, Experts, Adventure Games, and Exit, but NONE of the games shown is Catan. There is NO information about Catan in this app. 4. Tapping a round “three lines” icon reveals an extra 4 hidden icons, but there’s no hint as to what they mean. The developers should look up “mystery meat navigation”, a concept that’s been around for 20 years. There’s a shield icon with a tick which opens a privacy declaration, there’s an information icon which opens contact details for the app developers, there’s a flag with “A” on it which opens a language selector screen, and some sort of document icon with a light bulb which opens a tour of the app. These could not be worse designed. Ein oder zwei Regeln könnten vielleicht explizierter sein, aber es ist ja 1:1 die Anleitung, also fehlen in der Anleitung des Spiels einfach noch ein paar FAQs oder Antworten für ein oder zwei Fälle, aber das waren in 4h Spiel lernen und spielen wirklich nur zwei kleine Sachen. Auch wäre es gut, wenn es mehr Sprachen gäbe, das meiste ist wirklich auf Deutsch. Aber das sind wirklich nur winzige Details, ich dachte zuerst die App ist absolut unnötig, aber ich habe mich total geirrt und im Nachhinein hätte ich auch 10 Euro nur dafür bezahlt. Aber im Vorfeld natürlich nie im Leben.
