First off just being able to schedule a couple of different times so we can all meet is absolutely fantastic. Love this app. Keep adding. **Developer response:** Thank you for the great feedback! Although we love face to face meetings, we suggest that it’s worth considering scheduling meetings to be over Skype, Zoom, Facetime, and other means of catching up over video rather than in person. Very easy to use, and I can see everything that’s pending, which makes it easy to juggle all my week’s meetings. I love the ability for groups to vote on their preferred time to meet, which makes it very easy to find best time for golf sessions. And when I need to coordinate single person meetings, I just share a few times and it’s done fast! And it just appears in my calendar. Amazing. I can offer several slots to the participants and send invites to several people simultaneously. It’s always perfectly in sync with my google calendar. It shows location of the meeting on the map. I’ve tried 3 different email addresses. The calendar interface is horrible. It refreshes every few seconds, the Today button does nothing, and it put Columbus Day on both Oct 14 and 15 (I didn’t know we celebrate Columbus Day two days in a row!). I uninstalled because if it can’t get the calendar interface right, I can’t trust it to do anything else. Nice try, devs. Sad! I start the app and it gets hung up on the loading calendar screen, I’ve shut it down, removed it and same experience - what do I do to remedy this? I’m on an iPhone 6s v.12.4 **Developer response:** Please update to the latest version. This issue was a bug, and it is now fixed. ### 2/5 — Nice idea but ultimately useless. *2019-11-13, version 2.8* I like some of the scheduling features of this app and had hoped to use it in lieu of Doodle, but too many clients don’t get the email request because it’s in their spam file or can’t use the link because their network blocks it. I have deleted it from my phone and asked Doodle to add some of the scheduling features from this tool. **Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to make us aware of this. We have looked into this issue, and upgraded servers just earlier this week. We are confident that no invites should be ending up in the spam folder at all. We hope you will try CatchApp again, and please do get in touch with us directly also. ### 2/5 — Have to upload all contacts! No way *2019-10-23, version 2.6* I wanted to like this; the concept is certainly intriguing, and set-up was easy, with no having to set up an account with password or any of that mishygoss. It has two major fatal flaws, however, that are deal breakers. First, it only works with iCal, Google Calendar, and Outlook, and I don’t actually use any of the three except iCal solely as a pass-thru to Pocket Informant for events that can be exported from online, just so I don’t have to manually input them. iCal does not contain anywhere near my full schedule, though. CatchApp also added itself as a new Calendar in iCal that I had to manually delete. For various reasons, I have far too many calendars already, which causes me enough issues. The last thing I need is yet another one added to the mix. Second, and worst of all, it requires that you actually upload *all* of your contacts to their servers, which they characterize as “heavily encrypted.” Uh, nope, no way, not in this lifetime or the next. I deleted the app immediately. **Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback. However privacy is super-important to us, and we give you the option to skip adding your contacts. If you do not add your contacts, you can still send an invite to any emIl address or mobile number. However, you need to type the number or email address each time you send an invite. The benefits of adding your contacts: 1: You can select dozens of contacts to invite, in seconds 2: and you can view who you invite, and pending invites knowing instantly (by name), which makes meeting scheduling feel a lot more instant, and natural. We hope in light of this, you give CatchApp another go. We have built it with Privacy in mind. The other reason we add a separate calendar for your CatchApp events is because we Do not see your calendar or events on externL calendars. This keep your external calendar events private also. ### 2/5 — Broken *2019-10-16, version 2.5* Never received my pin code yet , guess its only supports few regions **Developer response:** Hello, We support almost every region in the world. Unfortunately sometimes your carrier may be overloaded and the SMS may get delayed. This is out of our control, and sometimes all you need to do is try again a few minutes later. It does have a lot of potential though and I can’t wait for any upcoming app updates. My schedule changes one day to the next, and CatchApp lets me adapt the meeting invites I send out. I can choose to have client meetings in the morning, and internal team meetings in the afternoon. The 1-to-1 Video calling is great. I thought it would be inferior to Zoom or Hangouts, but I actually prefer it. Voting on meeting times is so useful too. Highly recommend this app! *2020-03-21, version 3.1* I have tried over 20+ different calendar apps (including some of the popular ones like Calendly, Hubspot etc.) This app allows you to have a better control over your calendar, which means you don’t throw open you calendar to people asking to book a time with you but you can control what times you prefer. I think it’s very intelligent. Remember it’s a new app so it will take some time to ‘perfect’ it but I still feel it adds a lot of value even at this stage. Go for it!
