CatchTrail is a private fishing journal built to help you remember what happened on the water and learn from every outing. Log a catch in seconds, then add as much—or as little—detail as you want.

QUICK, FLEXIBLE CATCH LOGGING
Record species, number caught, date, photos, place, technique, outcome, notes, measurements, water details, and conditions. Repeat a previous catch to save time.

YOUR JOURNAL, MADE USEFUL
Search your history, filter catches, revisit entries on a full-screen map, and use personal insights to spot patterns across species, techniques, places, and seasons. Explore species reference pictures and information while choosing a fish.

OPTIONAL LOCATION AND CONDITIONS
Choose automatic location during setup or add a location when you need it. Core journal features work without location access. Nearby-species suggestions can help narrow your choices.

BUILT FOR HOW YOU FISH
Use imperial or metric measurements. CatchTrail works for freshwater and saltwater fishing, shore and boat fishing, fly and conventional tackle, detailed pattern tracking, or simply saving good memories.

BRING YOUR OLD FISHNET JOURNAL
Import your original FishNet database or CSV export. Preview entries before import and avoid duplicate imports. Create and restore portable CatchTrail backups with embedded photos.

PRIVATE JOURNAL, YOUR CONTROL
Your journal is stored on your device. There is no CatchTrail account, social feed, or automatic journal upload. Backups are created only when you request them and remain under your control.

Start with 7 free new catch entries. At the limit, choose a rewarded ad to unlock 3 more catches each time, or get CatchTrail Plus for unlimited logging with no ads. Existing and imported journals are preserved.

Plus is an annually renewing subscription. The App Store shows the price before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. The subscription renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings. Restore purchases from CatchTrail Settings.

Optional weather, nearby-species, species reference, and map features require an internet connection. Protect backup files containing fishing locations.
