### 4/5 — Good app BUT

*2026-07-28, version 1.1.1*

Love the app! It does exactly what the developer says it does, and I use it all the time.

There are just two small things to be aware of:

1. There isn’t an alphabetical sorting feature. If you have a lot of names, you’ll spend quite a bit of time scrolling because the list isn’t organized alphabetically.
2. The developer doesn’t seem to respond to messages or support inquiries. After numerous attempts, I’ve accepted that I’m probably not going to receive a response. Updates are also few and far between.

I’ve paid for the Pro subscription, so I do wish there were better communication and more active support. Overall, though, it’s still a very useful app.

### 4/5 — Great, but still needs fine tuning.

*2025-07-13, version 1.1.1*

I loved this app. It’s simple and organized. I’m glad I can edit notes for conversations/ interactions I’ve had in the past because I often do not mark them down immediately.

Developer please add:

The ability to select more than one person for a note.

Add search function.

Add photos, maybe.

### 4/5 — Nice to remind for social connections

*2025-03-17, version 1.1.1*

This is a nice app to keep track of connections that might otherwise slip away or for times when you’re forgetful. I wish there were a “remind me on x date” or “snooze next reminder” option. Also would be nice if you could dismiss or record a connection from the notification.

### 4/5 — Pro version disappeared, but is back

*2024-07-31, version 1.1.0*

I was enjoying the app and paid for premium but the features locked for a bit. The features are now back. The app is decent for what it is

### 4/5 — I like it so far!

*2024-07-08*

Super easy to use, and excited to keep in touch with the people that i love!

suggestion:
• option to add date when we last hung out in person
• option to add frequency of in person hang outs

although i love to check in through the phone, i want to make more of an effort to SEE the people i love more often in person.

### 4/5 — Whatsapp Integration

*2024-04-11, version 1.1.0*

Can we have an option to call or text with whatsapp.

### 4/5 — Love it

*2024-02-14, version 1.1.0*

Great app, simple but very helpful! Only thing I would add is the option for a reminder to contact people every two or three days, rather than only every day or weekly.

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2023-12-17, version 1.1.0*

Everything I needed, I just wish the checkin frequency was customizable instead of having to pick from a preset list (every day, every 2 weeks, etc). Will I be able to set a custom frequency value if I upgrade to Plus?

### 3/5 — Good idea

*2023-12-10, version 1.1.0*

Simple but great idea! I wish you could have groups of people instead of just individuals. There are groups of friends and couples that we only ever see together. Maybe you could also indicate who from the friend group was present at the particular catch up

### 4/5 — iCloud Support Needed

*2023-11-28, version 1.1.0*

I really like it, it's very easy to use and helps me manage my network contacts and family members. I paid for the premium subscription, but I was disappointed to discover that it doesn't sync with the iPad version. It should support syncing to be truly a reliable tool.

### 4/5 — Good start but needs Siri shortcut support.

*2023-11-11, version 1.0.5*

Please add support for Siri Shortcuts.

### 4/5 — Helping me stay in touch with mates

*2023-11-10*

Its simple and does everything you need it to. Got the widget on my homescreen and its a good way to track who youve been in contact with

### 4/5 — Should be able to sync

*2023-10-30*

I signed up for the premium level. Now, I have 12 contacts I would like to keep with. However, I see two limitations today:
1. If I’m in airplane mode and I think of a contact I would like to connect with, the SPL Durant see that I have the premium level. So, I won’t let me add anyone else.
2. Similarly, i would like to sync to iCloud, so that I can access my history on an iPad, etc if needed.

Would be great if these could be addressed. Thx!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t add friends

*2026-06-02, version 1.1.1*

I love the idea of this app. I went Pro without even testing it. My mistake apparently because everytime I try to add someone to my contacts, no one appears on the list. I’d like a refund.

### 1/5 — Unable to add contacts

*2025-10-28, version 1.1.1*

I am unable to add contacts or contact someone for help. Sounds like a good idea, but waste of money if you cannot add people.

### 1/5 — Useless without paying

*2025-03-26, version 1.1.1*

The free version of this app is basically useless. It only lets you track your catchups with 2 friends, and it won't allow you to turn on reminder notifications to contact these friends unless you upgrade. Unless you want to spend $10 to upgrade, it's not worth downloading.

### 1/5 — Great app however subscription is currently broken and unusable

*2024-07-04, version 1.1.0*

Great app however the subscription is currently broken and unusable.

### 1/5 — Entered a lot of contacts and took notes, now the and pictures no longer show

*2024-06-18, version 1.1.0*

Entered a bunch of data, now the names and pictures no longer show in the app. Not usable if you don’t know who you want to contact.

### 2/5 — Doesn’t sync between devices

*2024-11-04, version 1.1.0*

This started off being a great app. I used it for several months and felt good about reconnecting with people I didn’t run into naturally.
However, it doesn’t sync across devices. For example, I can download the iPad app, but I can’t see the current list, or updates. I switched to iOS 18 and my tracking information was lost on the update.

I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the sync issue.

### 2/5 — downloaded, then deleted

*2024-06-18, version 1.1.0*

i’m sorry :( this app had so much promise but i’m a broke student with adhd who wanted to use this to keep in touch w all my long distance friends, but charging $12.99 for premium is so, so, so steep

offering only 2 free friends in this app is actually pointless… if i only had 2 people to keep in touch with, i’d hope i wouldn’t need an app to remember to reach out

### 3/5 — Useful / economical / scarce

*2024-11-13, version 1.1.0*

Keeping in touch with people is something we’re all trying to do (right?) so why aren’t there more apps supporting this. The first one I came across was Garden - but that seems to now be abandoned, and is unstable. This is a pretty good substitute. Add names (shame you can’t categorize them eg home and work) and the set a frequency to stay in touch at some predetermined interval (shame you can’t customize that, you get the choice of once a week or every two weeks etc). And then you get to click and update when you speak to folks (this app does a nice job of capturing a journal entry - but sadly doesn’t seem to back up to iCloud - so I don’t feel confident about relying on this repository of conversation). It seems stable and the price seems fair. Although it was last updated 11 months ago as of this writing - so hopefully will be maintained? A great idea, a good (but not great) implementation. Still recommended - but wished it did a little more.

### 3/5 — Wish I could upgrade??

*2024-07-02, version 1.1.0*

Initially loved it, but there’s a bug not allowing me to upgrade to plus so I can’t use the app anymore. Total shame, really loved it :(

### 3/5 — Anna

*2024-04-22, version 1.1.0*

Hello, I’ve just downloaded the app. Whatever I do I can’t find the option to add my friend’s birthday. Could you tell me how it’s possible?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love it! Some suggestions!

*2025-08-02, version 1.1.1*

I love this app! I have been using it for about a year and it has really helped me keep up with friends and family.

Suggestions:
• Customizable frequency.
• Different type of catch ups and for same people. There are long distance relationships that I want to see in person at least once a year but I want to remember to reach out to them via text, call every month.

### 5/5 — Nice to remind for social connections

*2024-11-09*

This is a nice app to keep track of connections that might otherwise slip away or for times when you’re forgetful. I wish there were a “remind me on x date” or “snooze next reminder” option. Also would be nice if you could dismiss or record a connection from the notification.

### 5/5 — Just the right amount of design

*2024-05-25, version 1.1.0*

The creator of this app has identified a genuine human need and designed an elegant solution. Just the right amount of functionality and so easy to use. A great way to remind you to keep in touch with those important to you, especially when life gets in the way. Can’t recommend enough.

### 5/5 — Get it

*2024-03-20, version 1.1.0*

Have literally sent to all of my busy friends.

### 5/5 — Lovely

*2024-01-01, version 1.1.0*

Simple and effective.

### 5/5 — Super useful

*2023-12-16, version 1.1.0*

Catchup is a super helpful app that does just what it promises - make it easier to stay in touch with your friends and family. I love it!

### 5/5 — Wonderful way to keep in touch

*2023-12-04, version 1.1.0*

Beautiful, simple app. Worth it. Paid!

### 5/5 — Simple App but Good

*2023-10-25, version 1.0.5*

Just downloaded it yesterday and already enjoy the application. It's a simple use case but it does its job very well and I'm already enjoying using it and connecting with people I haven't talked to in awhile.

My one suggestion: in the app it would be nice if there was a setting feature where if you press the call or text option for a person it automatically counts as a "check in" so I don't remember to have to come back and mark it off.

### 5/5 — Helpful Without Being Naggy - Perfect

*2023-10-21, version 1.0.5*

I really like how elegantly this app solves a very specific problem which many of us have -- to get us out of our own bubble and stay in touch with the people we value. All the important things like how often to send a reminder to how to display the contact list are configurable, and it exists only on one device so it is secure as well.

If I had a wishlist I would like to somehow touch and slide on the "check-in" button to select a range of days prior, but that's just because I am lazy. Also, I'd love to be able to keep the iPhone and iPad version sync'd, even if it was a manual step.

Great app!

### 5/5 — Beautiful utility

*2023-09-09, version 1.0.4*

I really enjoy the simplicity of this app. It’s a great tool for addressing a specific challenge: staying in touch. Additionally, the app developer has been quick to respond to feedback submitted via email from within the app. I’d enjoy seeing additional widget options — possibly a widget that provides one-tap access for connecting with an overdue connection. It’d also be great to have a button to initiate a FaceTime call.
