Can that be changed? They think the are wrong when it doesn't go in the first time. ### 4/5 — Good App, looking for it to do a little more *2012-02-28* I think this is a great app in terms of its progressive nature and the data keeping elements. I wish that it had categorizations beyond "membership" (farm animals, kitchen items, etc.) but could also do categorization in terms of features (things that are furry, things that have tires, things that are crunchy, etc.) The graphics are great and the activities that exist are good but I am hoping that categorization by feature/function could be added in the future. ### 5/5 — Great app *2012-02-27* Love the app! One particular student is especially motivated to practice now. There is so much you can do with this app. I have also used it with a few of my adult clients who have aphasia. ### 4/5 — Focused on Categories, but great for ALL Language! *2013-08-24* This is a great tool to work on categories with my students who are older, with special needs. These students love the motivation and the sorting into various categories. This is a great tool working on expressive and receptive language as well. The user has the opportunity to sort items into their specific categories, but if you want to work on identifying vocabulary/labeling items, this app works on that, too! The data tracking component is an obvious plus for those of us who spend our lives focused on progress! :) Great tool, Smarty Ears! ### 4/5 — Many levels! *2012-11-08* I'm really happy with the different levels this app offers. You are able to practice the student's weaknesses while allowing them to sort in a way that is easier for them or also challenges them. The only thing my students sometimes struggle with is where to drop the item they have picked up. Most want to take it to the opening if the bottle, but that doesn't work and then they think they have made a wrong selection. ### 4/5 — Sort by categories *2012-06-25* I like using this app with my elementary aged students to target both receptive and expressive category skills. The app features different ability levels that can be targeted individually or in a group of up to four students. I wish this app, or a future app, could also target categories by feature and function. I like how it has different levels and that it’s a multiplayer app. For some of my students that are a little higher, I have them tell my why items go together and what makes them different. I just purchased it last week and have already used it with multple students on my caseload. Thanks for creating yet another great app. My students enjoy sorting the items in the correct category. I have them name the objects and we also work on describing as well. Great to be able to have students sort dissimilar items and also do the higher level task of similar items. This app is very customizable. Today I had a student work on all levels at once since he needs to work on responding to varied task demands. I also think the varying tasks held his attention and interest. For another student the consistency of a single task could be helpful. Similarly, the data is customizable. For the category naming task, it was good to have the option of correct, almost and incorrect.
