I use it everytime. However, may i request that you check the type of advertisements that pop up on the app? It’s not nice reading the Bible and you suddenly find a man and a woman kissing and making out. ### 4/5 — Fix the missing verses *2024-02-17* Very easy to navigate and simple. It’s well organized and easy to use, especially when looking for a particular chspter or section to read. My only suggestion to improve is on the audio version. It’s rather dry and does not deliver the message well. It would be best if one can have a real catholic priest or lector who is familiar with the story, and has been a real Bible reader at a live mass like the ones who do the readings in The Sunday Mass of the Passionist Community and who know how to deliver the message in each passage, could read and deliver the audio version, it would be perfect. As it is, it’s good enough. I had first discovered the Good News Translation while visiting my grandpa. I decided to borrow his bible. It was so awesome to find that this was FREE on the App Store! When you decide to come close to God He will indeed come close to you because He is faithful. Give it a chance and don’t give up! Thanks for making this! :) The app works great and you can even take notes with it. You can also change the font size. Also, it is very easy to navigate! ### 4/5 — Great to have this Bible version available *2017-04-30* Just found this app with this Bible version this week and I am really happy as it is a lot easier to read, specially when using it with youth or children. The computer does not always make the proper pronunciation choice when it comes to homographs. Also, some of the names are mispronounced. The voice is is rather flat without emotion and the Bible verses sound like a bunch of run on sentences. Nonetheless,I am grateful for this rendition and will continue to use it as some books in the Old Testament are quite boring yet deserve to be read. But it’s hard to see the verses, they disappear and you kind of have to move up and down to find. The gospels came alive for me, and church started to make sense. I was raised an Anglican and later in life became a real Catholic. I was pleased to see this bible and audio available in the Catholic version. This is great and the dynamic translation method is great to get you to understand the text. ### 5/5 — I love this app *2022-01-02* I searched and searched for an inexpensive audio Bible app suitable for me as a Catholic and in this GNT app, I found it!! According to the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, the Good News Translation, Catholic edition, is acceptable for private devotional use. I love how you can easily bookmark and pick up again where you left off, and move easily from book to book and switch to a different chapter or book. I’ve only listened so far to New Testament books but I have to say that the person doing the reading does an EXCELLENT job (in my opinion). Perhaps I missed this, I haven’t found where I can highlight a section to look up more clarification to its meaning in your app. I see where it can be saved. Otherwise it’s wonderful to read wherever I go. I’ve never sat down & read the Bible in my life & now at 67 yrs I am able to do this anywhere.
