### 4/5 — Update: They fixed the ads problem so it’s back to being a great app again!

*2025-02-05, version 16.0.0*

I’ve used this app for years. It was great. But recently they started posting ads that COVER THE CONTENT. There is now no way to use the app because even when you close the ad, the Google square remains. The app is now useless.

### 4/5 — Ad pop up keeps opening

*2024-12-15*

When I try to lower the ad out of the way of today’s reading it pops open instead. I surely don’t want to go to those ads. Ugh. Please fix.
Thanks...

**Developer response:** A new version of the fix has been sent to AppStore. Once it is approved then you should not see the half page ad. Please contact us at nilatsteam@gmail.com if you need any additional support.

### 4/5 — A few minor things would make this app perfect

*2024-07-29, version 15.3.1*

I find that this app is very useful and has everything I need to keep track of the readings. I really wish that there was an option to purchase this app to get rid of ads and that you had more control over the look of the app (font, colors, religious art, etc) in the settings menu so you could customize it.

### 4/5 — Darn good…just one thing

*2023-06-08, version 15.1.3*

Update review: Was really hoping this would be an easy fix but, oh well. Still nice app, just disappointed. Very informative and useful app. Just a small point - if you could make the liturgical colors more apparent. For color blind people like me it would be much appreciated. Maybe add the names of the colors?

### 5/5 — Please offer ad free version

*2020-12-03, version 12.2*

I would rather pay you a few dollars than to have ads on the app. If I inadvertently hit the ad and it takes me to their website, that is information I don’t want them to have so for that reason only I will be uninstalling this very nice app.

### 4/5 — Great app. Needs improvement, though.

*2020-09-29, version 12.2*

On iPad Pro:
1. It’s a frustrating game of luck to open the Saint of the Day link. Please fix the issue
2. Day and date auto-advance does not work. One has to move that manually daily
3. Overwhelming and unnecessary picture of the saints.
     a. Please leave option to delete, shrink, or manage them. The pictures only subtract from the app.
     b. Don’t have the pictures be saved automatically either because they waste precious storage space
4. Dark mode option is necessary for reading Saints of the Day
5. Grammar: English doesn’t seem your first language yet, we appreciate your daring spirit—bravo!
5. Let’s remember, the app and channel are Christian. It’s strange for anyone to talk about deleting the app because of a perceived anti-Moslem whatever
6. Great job overall! 4/5 stars.

### 5/5 — pretty good

*2020-09-04, version 12.2*

could use a more attractive interface but it gets the job done well

### 3/5 — Decent but some inconsistencies

*2020-04-12, version 11.7*

Easter Vigil 2020 Gospel reading was from Matthew but the app reflects Luke.

### 5/5 — Grandama

*2020-02-28, version 11.6*

Just got it! So far so good.

### 5/5 — Pie graph

*2019-11-08, version 11.1*

I enjoyed the pie graph. It really helped me see, at a glance, where we are in the season.
I tried clicking on the graph, without luck, so I deleted the app. I’m hoping that downloading it again will reboot it. Please let me know what I need to get that option back. Thanks

### 1/5 — A once great app now rendered useless by ads

*2024-04-06*

### 1/5 — Navigations

*2020-01-02, version 11.2*

Seemingly very poor navigation points on an iPad. It doesn’t appear obvious!

### 1/5 — Loaded with grammatical error and inaccuracies

*2019-06-23, version 10.0*

Obviously, English is not “Joseph Stalin Alucious” Selvaraj’s first language. He should have sought help in translating text. Full of grammatical errors. Moreover, there are inaccuracies with Saints of the Day. Example: for June 23, 2019 lists St. John Fisher when in fact it is St. Joesph Cafasso. Agree with mikeyarosjazz review on Feb 6 that if it weren’t for the errors and untrustworthiness, this would be a good app. Plan to delete the app Catholic Liturgical Calendar and just go with Laudate which is exponentially more accurate and useful. Why would an app developer use the (assumed) pen name “Joseph Stalin...” for a Catholic app anyway? Joseph Stalin was a mass murderer and one of the most evil men to have lived.

### 1/5 — What?!

*2018-03-31, version 7.5*

I had this app until an inflammatory anti-Muslim ad appeared on it. I don’t know who approved that, but I deleted the app immediately.

### 2/5 — Good content, bad adds that show

*2026-01-11, version 16.9.9*

The content of this app is great, simple and easy to use. By biggest concert is that pornographic adds pop up at the bottom. They are small and almost indiscernible but if you look at them you can tell. This is not appropriate for a Catholic app.

### 2/5 — I’d happily pay for an ad-free version

*2020-12-11, version 12.2*

The adds are so distracting that it makes it impossible to concentrate on the Bible readings. Without the ads this would be a great app to start my day

### 3/5 — What’s with the indecent ads?

*2026-08-11, version 18.1.2*

I don’t mind having bar ads, especially on a free app, but I was surprised to see incredibly indecent Temu ads right next to my readings. The app itself is great but I can’t use it with those ads also on my screen.

### 3/5 — Check accuracy/writing

*2026-03-23, version 18.0.1*

I love this app so I can read the daily mass readings, as well as the information about the saint of the day. However, there are many misspellings, typographical errors, grammatical and sentence structure errors in the “saint of the day” section. Someone really needs to be proofreading before publishing...

### 3/5 — Format needs work

*2020-12-08, version 12.2*

The format of the sentences and paragraphs need work. They are disjointed which make it hard to read. So far, there is one Old Testament reading and a New Testament reading per day. But once there was two New Testament readings. How are the readings selected? Does this app follow official church readings for Advent? Thx

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Catholic Liturgical Calendar

*2026-02-21, version 18.0.0*

I like the app, but it seems that some of the saints facts are mixed with the wrong person-Like St. Therese and others. I like this new version though I have never seen this new version before-the older version I didn’t mind, but it seems that these people are mixed up with the wrong person

### 5/5 — Correction Needed

*2026-02-15, version 17.0.1*

I have enjoyed this app for a long time. I noticed that this week after Ash Wednesday the Thursday-Saturday are titled wrong. Technically they are called Thursday of Ash Wednesday, Friday of Ash Wednesday, and Saturday of Ash Wednesday. The days following the Sunday are of that week. Such as the 1st Week of Lent, 2nd Week of Lent, and so on. If in doubt just look at the USCCB and/or Vatican websites. They are also listed correctly in the Liturgy of the Hours prayer books.

Thank you for your help in being the lantern that God wants to use to shine His light!

### 5/5 — Liturgical Calendar

*2025-09-12*

This is my favorite app because it notifies me about the feast days of the saints and gives me info about each individual saint

### 5/5 — Catholic

*2025-06-21*

This app is my favorite app and it notifies me at 6 am and it tells me who the saint is, for example St. Therese-awesome app
I like the pics of the saints

### 5/5 — This app is excellent for busy Catholics.

*2025-03-09, version 16.0.0*

The Catholic Liturgical Calendar App is a straightforward and well-designed resource for anyone wanting to follow the Church’s calendar with ease. The app provides great content, including feast days, solemnities, and liturgical seasons, all laid out in an intuitive format.

It’s incredibly helpful throughout the liturgical year, whether you’re preparing for Mass, deepening your daily devotions, or simply staying connected to the rhythm of the Church. The clarity and simplicity of the app make it accessible for all users, and it’s a must-have for anyone looking to enhance their faith journey. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Thank you!

*2024-12-19, version 16.0.0*

Thank you Saint Joseph Stalin for fixing my favorite daily reading app!!!

### 5/5 — Have used it for years! Great app.

*2023-07-17, version 15.1.5*

Simple and to the point, not a fancy app, it has adds but they are not pesky. I use it as a daily ready of the liturgical calendar and to keep up with the feast days. Its all free just put up with the adds. They do not try to sell you other services or products like most catholic apps.

### 5/5 — Darn good…just one thing

*2022-09-12, version 13.9.1*

Very informative and useful app. Just a small point - if you could make the liturgical colors more apparent. For color blind people like me it would be much appreciated.

Maybe add the names of the colors?

### 5/5 — 👍

*2022-03-02, version 13.9*

Amazing app!!!

### 5/5 — It’s great ! Buttt

*2020-12-15, version 12.2*

I love it ! I think it should be called Catholic calendar so I can see the whole title on my phone. I noticed I don’t see the word Catholic on the app on my phone but I only see the full name title on the App Store :( fix please
