Well, the screen does not align for iPad Pro devices. As from the bottom up has more screen but it conflicts with use ability a bit. Now, on iPad Air it is in reverse the room from the top does not conflict with app. But u know screen size is missing but all the app still shows up good. I hope I did help. Peace R.E.J. Originally for Android, this was one of the first mobile music production apps, and still one of the best mobile “DAWs” ever. Sadly, this port of the app no longer works with current iOS . I couldn’t get it to work on any of my iPhones, my girlfriend’s iPhone, or either of our iPads. The app is well worth looking into on Windows 11, or Android as a 3rd party apk (as I think it’s not available on google play store anymore either) as it was and still is incredibly inspiring. Tested on the 14 and on the 16 Pro Max. It only works if it’s opened in landscape mode and you can’t use the portrait mode at all. I would spend hours everyday making music on this app. When I lost my kindle I tried to use other DAWs but nothing compares. I’ll tell you why! There are no loops or midi phrases. You make everything on your own. There are limitations but those limitations build creativity. Now that I can afford an apple device. I’d still rather use Caustic! It’s good to be home in 2025. P.S. please make caustic 4. ### 5/5 — The best portable DAW *2025-06-04, version 3.2.0* This is probably one of the best mini-daws ever made. Especially for laying down ideas for electronic type music. The stock synths are super cool, the pattern based sequencer is super easy and the limited effects force you to really use your creativity. It has automation, a channel strip with eq, a killer modular synth and a cool pcm sampler where you can load your own samples.Honestly this thing destroys many hardware groove boxes like the Teenage engineering PO synths and others like it while costing a tenth of what they cost. Sad that the Dev had to stop work on this. Probably the best app that I have paid for. ### 5/5 — Still ultra relevant in 2025 *2025-04-21* I’ve been an avid fan of Caustic for years and I’ve grown to love it even more. It’s almost like an underground phone app because it has no support. It’s so what you see what you get program… the workflow is amazing it’s quick. It’s got that great polyphonic but also Lofi quality I mean you could spend $1000 on one of these super pocket trackers or you could just rock caustic 3 like a pro. ### 5/5 — Works on iOS18 *2025-03-24, version 3.2.0* No review, just updating a previous one stating it doesn’t work right. you just have to orient the phone correctly. it only does landscape one direction. ### 5/5 — An all time favourite *2025-02-27, version 3.2.0* Rej, its just an app. I am sure you can and will find the time to work on it side by side even if the increments are small. One synth every year would be wild for many of us. Thanks for your creative work and a paid app thankfully on IOS. Please dont take this down. Your app has struck a chord with countless producers so at least keep your own inner flame alive even if the markets themselves have been unwilling to give its dues to you. We deeply appreciate your efforts. If not open source the last thing you can work on is an SDK for extensions and a GUI user friendly application to mKe skins. Additionally a tool application to make custom sample packs and some cool DSP scripting options would be all we need. Btw Csound is a great platform on its own and its been incorporated into Ableton and Max and Pd. I think with your help a Csound module can be installed where the user can load custom scripts and use the Csound module.
