### 2/5 — Rip off

*2019-01-22, version 3.2*

So I paid a one time fee for the app before downloading it.
Cool

Then the app tells me in order to unlock the rest of the recipes I have to pay again
Ehh,
But I did it

NOW the app is telling me I have to pay a monthly fee to use the meal planning feature

3rd strike
Whoever said this app “Nickle and dimes” you was 100% correct

Not worth it, the recipes are average too (in my opinion)

But to be fair I do like the layout of the app, and how intuitive and convenient the shopping feature list is

### 3/5 — Text too small and hard to read

*2019-01-11, version 3.2*

Everything about this app is great except text size and font colour choice

### 3/5 — Great recipe selection, terrible at taking more money.

*2018-07-06, version 3.1*

The first iteration of this was great give you some really good recipes and all of them are easy to make. as this App has evolved though they're starting to nickel and dime you until you don't want to use it anymore.

### 3/5 — Pretty Pictures, But...

*2017-11-27, version 3.1*

This collection of recipes is decent. The pictures are exceptional and I like that you can very easily change the number of servings you want and the shopping list immediately changes. BUT, there is still no easy way to print a recipe from this app!! Apparently, this is not a priority for the designers. The best work around that I've found is to email yourself a recipe and print the email. Tedious and not up to par with other similar apps.

### 4/5 — Nice

*2017-11-27, version 3.1*

Thanks for the update !

### 3/5 — The Free Recipes are ok

*2017-10-25, version 3.1*

The Free Recipes are ok but, bought the extra recipes and was very disappointed. Really, Only 8 seafood recipes????

### 2/5 — Mad

*2017-05-07, version 3.1*

I purchased this app thinking I was getting all the meals every time I click on a good one keep saying 2.99 to get 60 more when I paid 5.99 I thought I would get them all not happy misleading I could have bought the book instead if I had known

### 5/5 — Worth it!!

*2017-01-09, version 3.1*

Awesome recipes! Invaluable during Whole30. I've had this app for a while now, every update it gets better. More recipes, shopping lists, easy to use. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Digging it!

*2017-01-01, version 3.1*

Really digging the app, thanks!

### 5/5 — Never disappointed

*2016-12-23, version 3.1*

I've used the app for preparing about a dozen recipes and have not been disappointed once! Kudos to George and The Fatburning Man for putting this wonderful app together.

### 5/5 — Great Original Recipes!!

*2016-12-03, version 3.1*

We love this app! We love almost every recipe we've tried and the ingredients and directions are simple. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Love the update!

*2016-11-04, version 3.1*

I bought the app when it first came out. I love the updated version and the ability to have your shopping list come up on your Apple Watch. George always comes up with the best recipes. Can't wait to work my way through the new recipes!!

### 5/5 — Caveman

*2016-11-03, version 3.1*

Easily my favourite cooking app. Delicious recipes!

### 3/5 — Some recipes good, some terrible.

*2016-10-27, version 3.1*

I like the variety and many of the tasty and creative recipes, which keeps me using this regularly. Some of the recipes are vague on quantities, and it may be what caused a disastrous result with Dragon Fruit ice cream. The fruits come in sizes ranging from small to rather large. It made some very soapy-tasting Ice cream that had to be tossed out.
It's also easy to see that the recipes aren't consistent in format and should be edited to make them more cohesive. I've also decided that the layout and organization makes it difficult to just browse and come up with dinner. Seems more complicated than Abel James' Wild Kitchen app, which offers similar Wild Diet/Paleo-ish recipes, but in a more organized format.
Please eliminate the dragonfruit ice cream...its awful.

### 1/5 — This is not a tracker

*2019-01-12, version 3.2*

I thought I was buying a tracker, where I could input what I am eating with guidance to eat the paleo way. Instead it’s just a bunch of recipes predetermined for you unless you want to pay AGAIN! I’m disappointed for sure.

### 1/5 — Buggy and lame

*2018-10-04, version 3.2*

Not very many recipes and currently crashes every time I try to access any recipe page.

### 1/5 — No longer works on iOS12

*2018-09-18, version 3.1*

No longer works on iOS12

### 1/5 — Don’t upgrade to Pro!

*2018-04-18, version 3.1*

Most likely you will pay but not get the upgrade! Developer refuses to help and no response at all from Apple - VERY DISAPPOINTING!

### 1/5 — Paid for the app... pay for more?

*2017-09-03, version 3.1*

The app has some decent looking stuff on it. Far from paleo as it uses dairy fairly regularly, but ah well. The app shows recipes that aren't obtainable without paying additional money for it. After purchasing the app... you must purchase MORE app. One star for a truly rude move.

### 1/5 — Expect an Upsell

*2017-01-14, version 3.1*

Extremely frustrating app! As you select recipes, a message comes up telling you that you'll have to spend additional money to access the recipe. I'll find it online for free thank you very little.

### 1/5 — A real let down

*2016-08-26, version 3.1*

I could seriously find better recipes on Pinterest - and almost every recipe that I click on says I need to upgrade to view - I feel like I've been ripped off - save your money and go to Pinterest

### 1/5 — Frustrating as H***

*2016-08-22, version 3.1*

I was very excited to get the CavemanFeast app. However when I made my meal plan and looked at the shopping list it was a mess. How in the world do I buy 1/8 of an egg, 2.4 eggs and then have 29 more eggs to buy? And that's just one example. I bought the app thinking that it was intuitive and would combine all like ingredients into easy to buy amounts. I'm very disappointed and frustrated trying to convert all this while I shop.

### 1/5 — I bought this and they keep asking for money

*2016-01-28, version 2.0.0*

I've never used this app for recipes and most of the time, I find free content on Google and make those.

Also, I understand that new content is a constant revenue spinner, but once I've paid for an app, I expect to get future updates. This app has changed so as new recipes have been added, I have to pay for the extra ones. That's really annoying and quite disloyal to the people who decided to give you money already.

I won't be paying for more in app purchases because there is no nutritional information and the recipe finders (to filter on foods you have in the cupboard) are rubbish. Also, it doesn't sync in with other apps. It is overly US-centric and the recipes are not properly paleo or overly simplistic that a lazy vegetarian could make them up.

Save yourself the money and Google "healthy recipes" for the foods you like.

### 1/5 — Currently on the Paleo diet

*2014-06-28, version 2.0.0*

Terrible! Pay $3 for the app and $2 for every recipe. Don't buy unless you want to spend money to unlock every single recipe. Waste of money

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Worth all your dollars

*2019-02-17, version 3.2*

This app has opened me up to a lot of new dishes I’ve never made before. I like it because it provides diversity in my dishes instead of 1 Million ways to cook chicken. Really easy way to impress your girlfriend or S/O pick this app up and cook her one of the dishes and a desert from this incredible menu!
One thing that would make this app perfect is if it provided macros as well. Us cavemen have to have something to help us learn our math.

### 5/5 — If you want to make a fast, easy change.,,

*2018-04-08, version 3.1*

This is the app to have!

Everything about this app is simple and time saving.

The recipes are full of REAL flavours.

It’s a game changer for those wanting to get control of their diets!

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2017-12-30, version 3.1*

Excellent!!! The best thing about this app is it doesn't call for "weird" ingredients. Everything is already in my kitchen. 2 Thumbs up!

### 5/5 — Paleo Meal Planner

*2017-11-01, version 3.1*

It’s perfect. Great recipes combined into a easy to navigate app with rich content.

### 5/5 — Incredible, easy, delicious recipes.

*2017-10-13, version 3.1*

This is my new favorite app. It has incredible recipes that are Paleo friendly...they are quite delicious. I’m very impressed. I love the meal planning and shopping list features too. The shopping list is easy created from the recipe screen, and then organized into grocery store aisles. What a timesaver!

### 5/5 — Recipe selection

*2017-10-04, version 3.1*

So many easy and good recipes. I’m loving the dessert section! Only negative is the cost to add more recipes. I wish it would be a bit cheaper to get extra recipes.

### 5/5 — Please add filtering

*2017-09-26, version 3.1*

Looks great so far. But i have additional dietary requirements. I’d like to be able to filter out recipes containing particular ingredients (Example: Peppers, eggs)
Thanks!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2017-08-14, version 3.1*

I love that this app updates periodically to provide new recipes. It keeps it fresh and up to date with new selections

### 5/5 — Marvelous app!

*2017-04-25, version 3.1*

Updated!! Even better with more recipes than ever. Great app with great recipes. Get this app if you want to great paleo recipes!

### 5/5 — Well Worth The Purchase!

*2017-01-26, version 3.1*

App provides delicious recipes and does mostly everything I need it to. I love how I can plan my meals each week. I can adjust my servings anytime and I can add recipe ingredients to my shopping list. I would love to customize my meals/recipes based on Carb/Protein/Fat percentages. However it does provide these percentages under most recipes if you want to look them up individually. Great buy!
