### 5/5 — Amazing support and app

*2026-01-14*

This app has definitely made me feel more confident to do the CBAT. Recently, there were some issues with the app, George was very informative and reacted quickly, giving updates about the progress of the fix. 10/10 app support.

**Developer response:** Hi Finlay, thank you so much! I’m really glad I could help get those issues sorted quickly. It’s fantastic to hear the app is helping build your confidence for the CBAT — that’s exactly why I built it! Best of luck with your selection.

### 5/5 — Great app for prep

*2025-12-16, version 1.7*

Brought this app ages ago and it’s so useful to help prep for my CBAT. Thansk

### 5/5 — Amazing tool

*2025-08-20*

Love this app. Would be great if it could provide an overall ranking of all game scores combined compared to other players

### 5/5 — Helps ALOT

*2024-05-31*

I took and passed my CBAT for pilot yesterday, and this app helped a lot.

The tests which are most accurate is the mental arithmetic, STD, spatial awareness, the 2nd memory game, shadowing and instrument comprehension. I can’t recommend practising these enough.

Many people say you can’t prepare for CBAT, this app proves them wrong.

Regarding other reviews, no there isn’t every test, and the tests on here aren’t all identical, but it does get your brain use to the way of thinking that’s required.

**Developer response:** Congratulations on passing your CBAT for pilot — that’s a fantastic achievement! ✈️ I’m really glad the app was able to help with your preparation. You’re absolutely right that the goal isn’t to replicate every test exactly, but to help people get used to the types of thinking and skills involved. Thanks for sharing your experience, and best of luck with the rest of your selection process!

### 5/5 — So far so good

*2024-04-27*

Improvements all round. ASP coming up.

Who is “Call Sign Pizza” please? You high schools are driving me insane.

### 5/5 — Confused on some games

*2024-04-26, version 1.5*

I’m 15 and Just brought this game a few days ago to prepare for my future job in the RAF. I’m confused on how the align the dot on the coordination thing. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do. another minus is that it doesn’t tell you if your right or wrong when your completing the questions which is bad for me but i guess for testing it’s good.

Besides that it’s such a good way to practise

### 5/5 — Success!

*2022-12-31*

Greatest training app available. Although it does not reveal the contents of the ASP, it helped sharpened my mental maths, reflexes and multi-tasking skills. Received first preference offer - credits to this app!

### 5/5 — Really great app for practicing CBAT

*2021-10-04*

I’m due to take my CBAT for an RAF officer and I fee a lot more confident after using this. Although not every test is on the app (I think for practical reason), the app is great for getting to grips with what looked complicated at first.

There is an issue I’ve run into though over the past few times of using it. For the “align the dot” test i found that after a few rounds the dot will not react to my inputs, I know it’s based off the iphones motion sensors; don’t quote me on that though, and I found that after a few rounds the dot will not even rezct to my movements with the phone. Not sure if it’s on my end, probably is, but thought I’d mention it.

Great app though nonetheless and well worth it for anyone doing the CBAT.

### 5/5 — Great

*2021-01-26, version 1.5*

Great app to gain somewhat of an understanding of what’s in cbat.
Helped me a lot , cbat will use the whats in the app but to a harder extent.

### 5/5 — Buzzing App

*2020-02-07, version 1.5*

FATS soon so this app definitely preparing me, only wish I start using it earlier. Worth every penny and highly recommend if you attending aircrew exams.

### 5/5 — Outstanding

*2019-08-27*

If you going for any of the armed forces and are required to sit a CBAT exam, I can not recommend a better app. Full stop.

Polite Requests,

Score graphs-
Having some way of graphing your scores over time would be amazing, currently I have an idea of where I started and where I’m currently at....But having an average score for each of the test types over time would be so insightful.

Messaging? (Maybe)-
Not sure how this would be implemented, but being able to chat to other players and see what there doing to improve would be interesting. Maybe a board or something with pre-set topics.

Cheats-
There are certain aliases on this game that get scores the seem near impossible. For example I’ve gotten to the point of almost instantly solving the arithmetic questions as soon as I read them (plus maybe an extra second for the hard occasional question) and I’ll achieve a score of about 30+. However when I go to high scores there are people getting nearly two and a half times my score in the same time. Maybe I’m an extremely slow reader, but without any way to message and see what I’m doing differently I can’t find out. I know there’s an report button, but I’m hesitant to use it since they may just be really really fast. Like I said..... I could be an extraordinary slow reader (doubtful though)

However those are just requests! I want to reiterate how fantastic this app is, and show credit to the developers who have taken the time to create such a useful tool. Honestly you could charge £50 and I’d still buy it. Take a bow

### 5/5 — Vital for those sittingCBAT/FATs

*2019-06-11*

Honestly absolutely vital. I sat my naval flight aptitude tests last year and unfortunately failed them, only found out about this app later on down the line and now don’t go a day without using it. Re-sitting then in July and never felt more prepped. My only additional thought would be is there any way to base the scores you get on the app against the real life ones to know if you’ve passed them?

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — useless waste of money

*2025-10-06, version 1.5*

literally is nothing like the CBAT, it’s a scam and don’t waste your money, CBAT ready is 1000x better, though it costs more.

### 1/5 — Helpful but Fateful

*2020-03-09*

This is a brilliant app to help show you the basic demands of the CBAT tests, especially the arithmetic ones but don’t be fooled into thinking that these tests will fully prepare you because they don’t. Unfortunately this app is not updated enough to provide factual accounts of what to expect and so only prepares you for basic and predictable tests.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the honest feedback. I am glad you found the arithmetic sections 'brilliant' for building core skills, but I’m sorry the app didn’t meet your expectations for the full CBAT experience. Because the military frequently updates the actual testing suite to ensure it remains a test of natural aptitude, no third-party app can provide a 1:1 factual mirror. Our goal is to provide the 'mental gym' to prepare your brain for the intensity, rather than a cheat sheet for the day and to familiarize yourself with certain concepts. I will take your comments on board as I look at future updates.

### 2/5 — Take with a pinch of salt

*2025-03-05*

I’ve just sat my CBAT and like many of the others say, some of the sections are useful but will not fully prepare you for CBAT, those which are similar are very different within the tests. Best of luck for anyone else giving it a try a go in the future

### 2/5 — Not a great app

*2023-11-19*

I took my CBAT last week and i found that none of the tests other than memory and basic arithmetic were identical on the app or the test.

The instrument comprehension test included banking degrees, as well as turns (sharp or balanced), both of which the app doesn’t include, the geographical awareness questions in the app are also very poor in challenge compared to the test. in the test you were told to make a map in your head of 4-8 locations including distance and direction between then, whereas in the app you’re only given three locations with a 50/50 west or east answer.

The multitasking segment in the app is also lacking as in the test you were given 2-4 call signs and like simon says you could only do tasks if told them, you had to press a button when a beep came on within 3 seconds, you had to remember a string of 6/7 digit numbers, you also had to go through specific squares and circles using the joystick avoiding the walls of the tunnel, all while white noise was playing in the background.

I gave this app two stars because it has helped a tiny bit but other than that i wouldn’t recommend downloading, no hate to the development team but the rest of the people doing CBAT on the day thought the same.

Good luck if you’re taking the CBAT, and remember to take your time.

### 2/5 — Bugs

*2017-11-14, version 1.1*

Bugs on the parcel/fuel consumption won't let you continue past first question just bought the app, also would be useful to be able to see what answers you get wrong? Very easy to code

### 4/5 — One issue, other than that good app

*2026-03-07*

So far this app has been great and I’ve enjoyed my time with it. However, the CU test under the multitasking section does not show any controls which is slightly frustrating. Hopefully they get this issue resolved soon.

**Developer response:** Hello! Thank you for the feedback. I'm happy to let you know that this was an issue with Dark Mode with the CU test and it has been fixed in the latest update. Please update your app to see the controls properly. I appreciate your patience, and if you have any other suggestions, feel free to reach out via email!

### 4/5 — Don’t put all your eggs in this basket

*2026-03-03*

Coming from someone who has just passed for all roles, this app is helpful, but only if you don’t treat it as an analogue for the entire day.

The point of CBAT is that you can’t revise for it, it’s impossible, you won’t be able to replicate the mental strain of 23 tests and 7ish hours of testing. However this app does well to prime you for the kind of thinking you will need to do in order to do well. I was talking with other people who wildly out scored me on the app but then didn’t pass the CBAT and were 40+ marks off of my score so it really is not an analogue.

I recommend the app as long as you don’t let it make you more nervous for the day, ultimately the revision you do won’t make or break you, you just have to relax and trust yourself, but I do think that it’s worth taking the time to get familiar with some of the ideas behind each test.

Ultimately the tests are much much harder than what you will experience on this app but you won’t find a better app out there if you want to get in the right headspace.

**Developer response:** Thanks for sharing your experience — that’s really helpful insight! I completely agree that the app is best used as a primer rather than a predictor. Like you said, doing well on the app doesn’t automatically translate to passing the CBAT or FAT. I think your point about familiarising yourself with the types of thinking and concepts behind the tests is key — it’s more about training your mindset than memorising questions.

### 4/5 — Helpful but unclear

*2025-06-19*

Good app for basic checks - the time speed distance section needs to state and give understanding to some differences in answers - I was 1 minute off every time and got told I was wrong and if we’re rounding down or up the difference is going to be greater. This caused undue worry on what error is acceptable.

I think it’s worth the app having the tests relevant to each area so you can choose to only do those that are relevant. Also the names in the app need to align to those used for the testing otherwise it’s not clear.

Eg an intelligence office vs a pilot

### 4/5 — Decent app

*2025-04-15*

App is pretty good, only issue I have is the shadowing section the Inputs don’t work correctly half the time so you are not able to get an accurate representation of your current level with it, as well as the app consistently crashing whenever you do try and use it

### 4/5 — Great concept, but there are bugs

*2019-01-30*

SDT doesn’t calculate score correctly. For example, just played the game and scored 0, yet the questions I received feedback for were from 8 onwards. This really needs addressed ASAP.

**Developer response:** Hi Mark,

The scoring is calculated by adding + 1 for every correct answer and - 1 for every incorrect answer. So if you get more questions wrong than right, you'll get a score of 0.

You're not the only person to query how the scoring works, so in version 1.5 I've added a new feature at the results stage, which breaks down the score. Hopefully this resolves your query about how the scoring works and if you've got any more questions please don't hesistate to email me via the following email address 'leegsoftware@outlook.com'.

Kind Regards

### 5/5 — Best app for CBAT

*2026-08-22, version 4.13.0*

Used this and other apps to prepare for CBAT, but this is for certain the best one.

Mental maths is really the only part of the CBAT you can prepare for and this definitely helps , in particular the the FLAG was really useful.

Very good using the app post CBAT as well to maintain mental math skills for oasc and flying trg

Thank you developer!

Edit: thanks for readding the mental maths trainer

### 5/5 — Superb

*2026-05-26*

I feel like this app is essential for anyone preparing for the military aptitude tests. I especially love the Trace test — it’s surprisingly fun, and it’s really rewarding to see your improvement over time. The new feature that shows where you went wrong is a fantastic addition too. Overall, a superb app!

**Developer response:** Wow, thank you for the superb review! I am glad you are loving the Trace test and finding the new 'where you went wrong' feature helpful for your prep. Best of luck on your military aptitude tests!

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2026-04-01*

I’ve been using this app to prep for CBAT and it’s been super helpful. The questions are tough and cover loads of areas that I’m weak on such as maths and multitasking.

Some of the sections make you think under pressure, especially the spatial awareness games.

Overall, it’s a solid app if you’re preparing for CBAT. Definitely worth it, as it helps get your brain working.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! I am really glad you’re finding the multitasking and spatial sections challenging. Best of luck with your upcoming tests!

### 5/5 — great app

*2026-03-23*

If you are looking at doing your CBAT soon, this is a great resource to help you feel more confident. The practice tests are well put together and easy to use. Recent updates are great, what would be better is if you could monitor your progress by seeing all your practice scores. Apart from that, I can’t fault it!

**Developer response:** I really appreciate the feedback! It’s great to know the recent updates are hitting the mark. I completely agree that a score-tracking feature would be a valuable addition for monitoring progress. Thanks for helping make the app better, and good luck with your CBAT!

### 5/5 — This app is great practice
