More specifically I use it to listen to World Report every morning, and to listen to specific segments of shows that I might have missed/want to hear again. But the reason for the lower rating is that I’m regularly frustrated by the fact that at least weekly the app logs me out and I have to sign in again. And every time I have to do that, the order of my favourites is reset. I assume this coincides with when the app is updated, but I honestly haven’t confirmed that. The point is that I don’t have this issue with other apps (they maintain my login persistently and only rarely require me to log in again) and so this app really needs to hold onto my login for more than a few days. And even then, the favourites list order should be persistent between logins. It’s a pretty basic function. I’ll be glad to change this review and increase the stars up to 5* if that is fixed. ### 5/5 — CBC is so appreciated *2026-08-16, version 7.7.0* I can’t imagine life without CBC. I know I can trust the news. It would be great if my favorited station was the default station. To get around these issues, it’s easier for me to not sign in, which then defaults to local station. Yet if I may I would like to suggest it would serve to aim a little higher. For example only, To give interview access not just to the often interesting point of view of defence lawyers in criminal cases. But also, accord interviews ——-even of fair length to practising lawyers but at the same high level —-for the prosecution. If there's a Canadian musician I want to listen to this app makes it way to hard to find them.
