To control your devices in one place, set automation tasks and have everything work without intervention. However, the app is very buggy. The most recent bug: I turn my geyser off on the app, when I refresh the app, it shows as on again. And also, when you report these bugs on the app, you get no response at all Edit: today I cannot switch on the geyser. The logs say the devices was turned on and off at the right time, but the water is cold. Turning it on manually, it fails and now my visitors are stuck with cold water. ### 4/5 — Great Wireless Switch *2024-10-13, version 1.0.5* Have been using multiple CBI Astute Switches over the last few years. It seems most of the issues some of the people have complained about have been resolved: 1. Multiple devices can be controlled by adding them to a group. 2. Adding the device to Alexa or Google Assistant can be done by clicking the rename icon on the device and selecting the integration. To the delevoper, the following improvements would be amazing for my use: 1. Setting daily power use limits would really help in saving electricity. I've tried creating a scene to turn off a device using the "Increase electricity > xkW" scenario, but it doesn't seem to work. 2. If there were a "Power Status" feature in a scene for a device to detect load shedding for example, I could use it to turn other devices off as well to preserve battery life. ### 2/5 — App keeps ons switching timers off. *2024-04-07, version 1.0.5* The app is no good when it keeps on disabling my timers. ### 4/5 — Doesn’t load google home *2024-03-12, version 1.0.5* No matter what I have tried to do to link it to google home I can’t. The instructions say it will load google home but doesn’t? I have also tried adding it via the google home app by searching for astute as per instructions and it’s not listed. It’s a CBI astute switch. Any help would be appreciated. Other than that great app, would just be nice to have them all in one app. Thanks. ### 4/5 — iOS Notifications *2023-08-13, version 1.0.4* CBI home app only has options to allow Location, Bluetooth, Local Network, Camera, Siri & Search and Mobile Data. No option to enable notifications, I don’t receive notifications on my iPhone. There’s no where to enable notifications, not even in the iPhone’s notifications settings, CBI Home app is not listed. Otherwise very useful. ### 4/5 — Alerts via SMS *2023-07-27, version 1.0.4* It would be very useful if the app could be configured to issues alerts via SMS or Whatsspp. Am I missing something. ### 3/5 — Good functionality, poor UI *2023-06-10, version 1.0.4* Really like the functionality around the ability to control my geyser. However, the graphs of past electricity usage are pathetic. The scale makes it impossible to see trends. I use 50kwh for my geyser in a month, not a day. ### 3/5 — Works but… *2023-02-02, version 1.0.3* Please give us the ability to link multiple timers. Setting and changing schedules daily for each timer individually to accommodate daily blackout cycle changes is a massive pain. Every time the power goes off and the comes back on the breaker switches on. But the service technicians who help telephonically when you have failed all else, are the best! Very helpful, very professional and go all out to make sure you install the device correctly⭐️ The device and App are super amazing and easy to use! Don’t remember how life was before using the device. But can’t. Don’t get the options as per instructions. ### 1/5 — Not functional *2023-02-03, version 1.0.3* Notifications do not work. Reinstalled app twice. Deleted and added switches twice. Restarted my phone twice. Notifications on the app and phone settings are active. Also the schedules/timers are stored on the phone app and not in the device so if your wifi is down the schedules will not work. ### 1/5 — Difficult to pair *2022-12-18, version 1.0.3* Not easy to pair on device ### 1/5 — Faint led *2022-11-24* Great app, but the led (red or blue) is extremely faint considering that I have the controller installed by the pool pump in a typically bright area if the garden. I am talking about the notification option after selecting a switch, then selecting “timer”, then “add schedule”. After activating and then deactivating the “notification” option for specific on and off times, the notifications still come through. This is the same for other switches where notifications have been turned on, the notifications do not come through. ### 1/5 — Scheduled timer not working *2021-09-17, version 1.0.2* Once you deactivate a scheduled timer temporarily it will give you following message when active again: “Timing of … is not working. Please check the device and network.” The timers never turned off are till working. There is no option to delete scheduled timing. Reinstalled the app. Reprogrammed all timers. Same issue. ### 1/5 — Geyser Timer settings don't work *2021-06-30* The geyser timer settings fail , I've never managed to get them to work. The only workaround is setting up Automations. This seems to be a iOS bug as the Timer Settings work on Android. However your weather is showing sunny when it's rainy and cloudy. It's just you and that smart home app... Super value, amazing functionality. One wish: in the “Electric” function, please extend the granularity to 1 hour periods. This will allow detecting points of energy wastage much more accurately, and so increase the value to the user. ### 5/5 — Home Tab indication *2023-02-17, version 1.0.4* Latest version of the app on iPhone removed the ability to see if the ASI or ASC is on or off. This worked well to check at a glance if all is in or off. It’s user friendly and I love it. ### 5/5 — Great App - Needs data export *2022-10-15, version 1.0.3* I have been using this app and the CBI Astute range for more than a year. Absolutely brilliant! Just two notes for the developer: 1. The CBI ASC-BP (30A switch) does not have a setting to turn it back on in the event of AC failure. Not sure if this is a firmware/app/safety issue. 2. Is there any way to export my electricity usage data from the app? Would love to be able to do that to something like a CSV file. ### 5/5 — Integrates 100% with my home network *2022-09-11, version 1.0.3* It’s nearly a year since I started using the CBI astute range in my home . Geyser, pool pump and my sons bedroom plug are measured and controlled. As a dad I extra appreciate that I can switch off his plug when he has reached his PlayStation time limit … I also like to compare the present and historical energy consumption of each astute appliance controller I have in the house. There is a noticeable saving, thank you ! smart settings are a real bonus.
