Where is the equality now!! The sentence has been given. Like it or not. Why do you continue to show protestor after protestor saying the same thing? Why didn’t they protest when the guy shot the coach several months ago on 169? Silence! Why is there no protests on the beautiful black children that have been shot? Silence! Why didn’t you show the Potter supporters? Let’s report on some positive news for a change. WCCO has become a puppet. You have lost this viewer and many more. ### 1/5 — Don’t bother. *2021-12-05, version 1.3.0* Adds, Adds, Adds. And you just watch adds before you can see any news/weather videos. AND, the adds freeze and restart. Loads of irritation. This app is rudimentary at best and totally annoying all the time. Please, you can do better than this! Nine times out of ten, when I get a breaking news headline and want to find out more, I have to search for the story. I would hope to see that story presented up front but no, I have go through the weeds to find it. My previous review: I am a big fan of WCCO but this app is worthless. It does not meet my expectations for a premium broadcaster. I hate to be so negative and rarely give bad reviews but this app is so bad I have decided to remove it from my iPad and iPhone. I went to see weather information while on this brand new app and it brings me to a safari website. You’ve gone from a bad app to a worse one. Came back to this app hoping the weather would have been improved since I checked last. Nope still terrible. I have only used the CBS weather app. This thing doesn’t even have radar. It doesn’t say what percent chance of precipitation at the hourly forecast. So disappointed. Such great meteorologists, but no I do not want to watch a video every time I want to check the weather at a certain time. ### 1/5 — Inaccurate tabs *2023-07-05* Unfortunately, getting an alert on my phone to watch “live news” is pointless. When I open the app and press one of a few red buttons saying “LIVE NEWS” I am led to absurd advertisements about swimwear and vacations or national news shows - and the live news that I’m seeking may be happening - but I can’t find it via this app. Very disappointing. I won’t be seeking my news via this app any more. I would give this negative stars if I could, based on the misleading, non-functioning app as I consider finding news a serious matter. ### 1/5 — News ap *2023-07-03* I find this news app to be some power. It is not refreshed often, some stories are a week old, and you can only see the top three stories unless you keep scrolling down to look for more. Very disappointing for a big news station. And on Sunday night, I check the weather for the week under the next weather app on your site and it gave weather from Friday. That is disgraceful. No weather map. Poor hourly and daily info. It appears they want you to watch the old weather videos. Who has time for that? I want the information quickly which the old app served excellently. This app has no way to get to a weather map like the CBS Minnesota Weather app had. Very disappointing. So, I have switched to Fox 9 weather app. ### 1/5 — Disappointing *2023-03-08* We got a banner on our much loved NEXT Weather app, that it would be shut down 3/31, & no longer supported. We downloaded this app, & find it a BIG disappointment. Combining the news & weather apps may be a budget saver for you, but it’s more work for us. Too many actions to open our local, current conditions. The current conditions don’t refresh every time we visit the app, unlike the NEXT weather app. Too much scrolling is needed to survey the forecasts. Local notifications are flawed, or non existent. We live three hours north of Mpls/StP. We don’t want Metro news & wx. The WCCO USED to be the best weather app. Now it’s sub par, just like the other MSP station’s apps. ☹️ ### 1/5 — Not a replacement for CBS Minnesota Weather App *2023-03-08* On March 31, 2023 WCCO TV is ending support of the fantastic CBS Minnesota Weather App. They say as a replacement, download their CBS Minnesota app. The weather info has next to nothing that the weather app had. No radar, hard to use. I am going to Fox 9 weather app as a real replacement, that is Next Weather. ### 1/5 — barely usable *2023-02-16, version 1.5.0* crowded, messy interface that is absolutely loaded with ads - in fact, there are more ads per page than there is « news » and the ads constantly reload as you attempt to scroll through them, meaning that all your scrolling will be for naught as you’ll eventually wind up back where you started. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Full coverage *2024-02-28* Thankfully we have a news company they actually provides full coverage online and doesn’t rely on TV coverage. I work odd hours and simply cannot watch it on TV but WCCO provides the coverage online that I’m looking for! ### 5/5 — SOOO much better *2020-06-10, version 1.0.16* The old CBS local app was a joke. This new one is 100% better, with a quick link to LIve CBSN. WCCO is always my trusted news station, but I had taken to using other local stations’ apps on my phone. It was easy to use and was very complete in information for where I live, not this overall app. There is no weather map, the info pertains to the cities (which I don’t live in), and it’s filled with videos. Very disappointed in the format! I see why most people I know use apps for strictly weather vs. mixed topic apps. This doesn’t work. I will definitely be looking for an app that compares to the old WCCO weather app. 😢 ### 2/5 — Pop up advertisements *2022-10-16, version 1.5.0* Now you have ads that pop up in the middle of reading an article…they are 4seconds long and you can’t delete them. Will not succumb to this crap. From the start, this app froze and watching the news or weather live cause it to crash Very frustrating. I usually can check the current weather and forecast so that is something.
