They do nothing for app support and they do nothing to fix the current situation at hand. I’m now on my 10th. Try trying to log into the stupid thing and it will not work. You’re a multi billion dollar company what the hell is wrong with you ### 1/5 — Trash *2025-09-25* This is the worst software I have ever worked with, it fails constantly, crashes, server side errors- my dealership fell into this trap and we have felt the pain daily. A two minute write up takes 15 minutes on average and embarrassing moments in front of customers apologizing for wasting their time. I’ve lost many sales to this, this program actually prevents sales. Not to mention when it’s working “properly” it loads and loads and loads leaving dead time between you and the customer. I would prefer a brick over this because at least I know what the brick will do next. No notification after tech puts his estimate in smart, if parts will even stay on the sheet you are lucky. It rides on the back bone of CDK drive which is a good program. But it can’t even transfer it own data into a program owned by its own company….. total trash. They need to completely scrap the web based programming and create an application. It sometimes takes several attempts to log back in. E-signature also stopped working. Is there a fix or a more compatible device? Right now the app is unusable. Using iPhone 13 Pro Max. Thank you. ### 1/5 — BUGGY *2023-08-05* First, the vin scanner is next to pointless. Second, why is there an option to remember login when it NEVER does. You’re subject to the annoying 2 step authentication every single time. We don’t have time for all the errors it gives either. Obscure stuff nobody’s ever seen, requiring you to go to the dumpster fire of CDK on a desktop to fix. Kind of kills the point of using the app… ### 1/5 — Bad ease of access *2021-07-02* There’s no flow to this system sadly. The VIN feature is very bad, takes a long time to scan the vin. Takes a long time to roll RO to print. ### 2/5 — Connection issues *2021-02-17* Program disconnects from wifi often, then just spins and does nothing until you turn off the wifi and reconnect. Frustrating to use... ### 3/5 — Buggy *2023-10-26* Won’t pause in service lane inspection- very disruptive to daily operations ### 3/5 — Scanner unresponsive and bugs often *2022-09-08, version 3.22.1* VIN and License scanner stopped working almost completely. Unable to decode VIN msg with several makes and models after building a repair order. The app is very convenient to have on my iPhone and I will continue to use it despite some of the features not working properly. I love using it on my phone or on the tablet. But it makes it so easy to write a repair order from the palm of your hand! Thank you for continuing to improve it! ### 5/5 — More efficient and streamlined from 2.0 series *2018-10-16* This version of Lane is a much more efficient and streamlined write-up process with a few enhancements to some of the clunkiness of previous versions. The thumbnails of photos taken during the lane inspection is just one of the many features this version has improved over the 2.0 series. No need to move from tab to tab with all of the data needs located in separate boxes on one screen.
