The federal CDL knowledge test requires 80 percent to pass, across eight subtests: General Knowledge, Air Brakes and Combination Vehicles, which every Class A applicant sits, plus five endorsements you choose based on what you plan to haul: Doubles/Triples, Tank Vehicles, Hazardous Materials, Passenger and School Bus. This app drills every subtest, one question at a time, and explains the method after every answer. WHAT IS INSIDE - Over 1,400 practice questions across all eight CDL subtests - An explanation with every question, worked through step by step - Core mock exam: 30 questions blending General Knowledge, Air Brakes and Combination Vehicles, with the same 80 percent pass mark as the real test - A standalone practice exam for each endorsement you select THE SUBTESTS General Knowledge covers vehicle inspection, basic control, backing, space and speed management, hazard perception, cargo, hours of service and trip planning. Air Brakes covers system nomenclature, contaminated air, the low pressure warning, pre-trip inspection, parking brake use and grade braking.
