### 5/5 — Great structure, easy to follow

*2026-01-23, version 2.3.1*

I used this app to study CDL permit for a few weeks, mostly in short sessions after work. What I liked most was how organized everything felt from the start.

Instead of jumping around between random questions, the material was broken down in a way that actually made sense to me. I always knew what I was working on and why.

The studying part felt manageable, not overwhelming. I could see my progress as I went, like what I already covered, what I needed to review again, and where I was getting better. That made it easier to stay consistent with it.

By the time I went to the DMV, I didnt feel burnt out or like I was cramming everything last minute. It felt more like I had built things up step by step.
For me, this app made studying feel more calm and structured instead of stressful, which is probly why I stuck with it all the way thru.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Your taking my money

*2026-07-25, version 3.0.6*

This app did not help and I have canceled the subscription and it’s still charging my account what can I do to stop the charges

### 1/5 — Electrical Facility mechanic

*2026-04-28, version 3.0.3*

Boy this helps me out with every one of these questions very good!!!

### 1/5 — SCAMMMMM

*2026-02-17, version 2.4.0*

This app keeps trying to charge me for a subscription THAT I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR. I don’t have the app anymore. Deleted it and my account because I wasn’t paying for anything. It still keeps trying to take money from me even though I never authorized it to do so.

### 1/5 — Scam ‼️

*2026-01-21*

I took my CDL permit test today at the DMV and failed after using this app as my main study tool for almost three weeks. On this app, I was consistently scoring above 90%, missing only about 3 questions out of 100 on practice tests.

However, the actual DMV exam was very different. The questions on this app are long, obvious, and predictable, while the DMV questions are much shorter, more subtle, and intentionally worded to be tricky. The real test uses phrasing designed to confuse the reader, which this app does not properly prepare you for.

This app gave me a false sense of confidence. While it may help with basic familiarity, it does not accurately reflect the style or difficulty of the actual CDL permit exam. I would strongly recommend using additional study resources and not relying on this app alone.

**Developer response:** We know your time is valuable, and we're sorry the app let you down. We want to make it right. Drop us a line at christopher@solvely.ai with your details so we can fix this for you immediately. Thanks for your patience!

### 1/5 — CDL test

*2026-01-20, version 2.3.0*

Took my general knowledge and air brake test at the DMV only for the DMV to have questions that weren’t on the app. Complete waste of my time.

### 1/5 — Charged me

*2025-12-06, version 2.0.2*

Charged me during free trial when I cancelled it before it could end

### 2/5 — Did not pass

*2026-02-25, version 2.4.0*

Okay so I went through this entire app and had my appointment today. I failed. Half the questions in here are not on the exam for Class B. Which is fine it’s always nice to learn anyways. The passenger endorsement I also failed using this app. Now 1 year ago I didn’t use any apps and I walked out of DMV passing Passenger endorsement with zero wrong. And my General Knowledge I missed by 1 point last year. This time around I took my time studying everyday on this app.. failed passenger by 11 and GK by 13.
And there was several questions today that was never covered in this app at all and it through me off.

### 3/5 — General Knowledge Ambulance?

*2026-07-22, version 3.0.6*

Its a great app but having ambulance questions in a CDL general knowledge is unnecessary. Otherwise I would give this a better rating. Im not driving an ambulance, and I don’t need to know why I can drive at code 3 when im hauling lumber on a flatbed trailer

### 3/5 — Shouldn’t have to pay

*2026-04-21, version 2.7.4*

Paying is not a great way to interest people, there are other ways to practice

### 3/5 — Good idea, not the best execution

*2026-03-18, version 2.6.0*

Great idea and info on the app but the AI is not the best. It will give you the same question 3-4 times per quiz and honestly there isn’t anywhere to study before taking the practice quiz or flash cards. I would love a paragraph explaining the laws and rules on stuff before I go blindly guessing into a flash card/ quiz. It would also be helpful to have all the correct information layed out to read through.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Answers

*2026-07-27, version 3.0.6*

You are given answers to missed questions but they quiz you on the questions you missed again to make sure you remembered.

### 5/5 — It really works

*2026-06-26, version 3.0.6*

I had three days to study. I had to take four tests to get my bus CDL permit so I could start working. This app was wonderful I was able to pass all four sections the first try

### 5/5 — Ms. L. Martin

*2026-06-18, version 3.0.6*

This app is extremely helpful with preparing for the state test, it reviews the information that is in the state manual.

### 5/5 — Useful

*2026-06-07, version 3.0.6*

Knowledgeable app

### 5/5 — I got a free CDL app but there were questions on the test that the app didn’t cover.

*2026-05-22, version 3.0.6*

I purchased the lifetime with this app & then passed with 100% 😃🎉

### 5/5 — Just started

*2026-05-10, version 3.0.5*

I haven’t gotten far yet but I already love the app. This makes it soo much easier to see how much progress im making without going over the same material a dozen times and hoping it sticks. I can see what sticks and what i need to work on. Worth it!

### 5/5 — Passed my CA School Bus test!

*2026-03-10, version 2.4.3*

I used this app to study for my California School Bus test, and it really helped. The questions and explanations made things easier to understand, and I liked being able to focus on what I needed. I also got quick help when I reached out. I passed my test and would recommend it.

### 5/5 — Felt Familiar on Test Day

*2026-01-26, version 2.3.2*

I started using this app to study for my CDL permit for a few weeks ago and took my permit test last week.
What stood out to me was how familiar the questions felt once the exam started. A lot of them weren’t long or detailed — they were short and easy to misread if you didn’t slow down. That felt very similar to how I’d been practicing.
There were a few moments where I caught myself almost rushing, then stopped and reread the question, because that’s what I’d gotten used to doing in the app.
I passed the test, and it didn’t feel like luck. It felt like I’d trained for the way the questions are actually written.
Everyone studies differently, but for me, this app matched the real exam more closely than I expected.

### 5/5 — Air Brakes Section Actually Helps

*2026-01-24, version 2.3.2*

Spent most of time on air brakes, which is usually a pain.
What helped was seeing pics with the questions. Way easier to get what they’re talking about when you can actually see the parts instead of just reading about em.

The flashcards helped too. Air brakes got a lot of small stuff that gets mixed up, and seeing it a few times made it stick better than just reading the manual.

Still early so I’m not calling it yet, but so far this setup makes sense. Gonna keep at it and see how it holds up after a bit more time.
