## What is CDL Ready?

Walk the truck before you walk the truck. The pre-trip walkaround takes you around the vehicle in the order the examiner does — engine, cab, steering, brakes, coupling, trailer, lights, air-brake test — and asks you to say each check out loud before it shows you the words. More candidates fail the CDL on the walkaround than on the written test, because it is a recitation, and flipping cards does not rehearse one.

Then every CDL knowledge test, with an explanation for every answer and, when you get one wrong, a line telling you exactly why the option you picked was wrong. That is the difference between memorising a question and knowing the rule on test day.
