### 4/5 — Good except for one thing

*2026-05-18, version 2.5*

It reduced wobble, but the app tells me to place weights that are so close to the center of the fan that the weights would have to be on the blade holders themselves which I cannot do. It would be great if I could specify the length of usable blade space where I can actually stick a weight on top of. Otherwise it’s very helpful

### 4/5 — Worth the $3

*2025-08-24, version 2.5*

Fiddled with the fan for 2 hours, then bought the app. In 20 minutes it had it better than I could get it. Not perfect, but worth $3

Also props for not asking for my personal info or wanting a monthly subscription.

### 5/5 — I was a skeptic, but now a believer.

*2025-08-12*

I spent about an hour trying to balance my fan, using a balancing kit following the instructions in the kit. I had it pretty close, but being the perfectionist that I am, I wanted to get it perfect. A little Internet searching pointed me to this app, which I tried. I had doubts that it would allow me to get the balance any better but I went ahead with the instructions in the app, exactly as outlined. I removed the weight that I had originally installed and much to my surprise. The app had me put the weights almost where I originally had them with a few minor additions of weight and slight change to the location. The fan is balanced perfectly now. I’m impressed to say the least.

### 5/5 — Remarkably good, well worth the cost!

*2025-08-10, version 2.5*

I admit I was a little skeptical, but this app was pretty inexpensive, so I gave it a go.

It’s gotten our fan better balanced and quieter than I’ve ever been able to do manually. It gave a recommendation to put a weight 4” from the end of one blade, and 12.25” from the end of another. And it really worked! Amazing!

Take the plunge—it really is worth it.

### 5/5 — Does what it supposed to do.

*2025-08-07, version 2.5*

We loaded up this app, followed the instructions and balanced the fan. Easy least, lemon squeezey.

### 5/5 — Time /Sanity saver

*2025-08-02, version 2.5*

After I misread instructions and 10 tries. I corrected and got it in the first try. Worth $3

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-07-20, version 2.5*

I am an unpaid purchaser of this app. I am typically skeptical of apps like this, but after struggling for an hour, I thought losing $3 on the off chance that it works is totally OK with me. I should have bought it at the start of my struggles! It worked great the first time I tried it, even with me fudging on some of the measurement steps!

### 5/5 — Magical

*2025-07-17, version 2.5*

My son’s fan was a wobbly mess. I bought a weight kit but it seemed like it was going to take forever with trial and error so I bought this app. I was skeptical despite the positive reviews but it worked like a dream. Followed the simple instructions and boom wobble fixed.

This developer needs to be building rockets or something.

### 5/5 — It works!

*2025-07-02, version 2.5*

I feel like this is came from the time period of “Oh there is an app for that!” But it works and our fan no longer wobbles at high speed

### 5/5 — Wow

*2025-07-01, version 2.5*

Worked great first time through! I highly recommend, takes all the guess work out!

### 5/5 — Like magic

*2025-06-27, version 2.5*

One of the best apps I ever purchased. Good job to the engineers who designed the algorithm, and to the software team that built the app. Clear instructions, easy to follow, and works like a charm. A+++++

### 5/5 — Worked for me

*2025-06-23*

New fab was a little out of balance. Used wheel weights, followed the app. Now perfect no wobble.

### 5/5 — Very happy

*2025-06-14, version 2.5*

Super helpful. It took some trial and error figuring out the app, and the process of testing and adjusting and testing and adjusting is tedious (I have a cheap fan, which probably affected the accuracy some), but three hours later I am so happy to have a wobble-free fan instead of a “will this shake the fan from the ceiling” fan!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2025-06-14, version 2.5*

I rarely write reviews, but this app is absolutely magical. Took less than 20 minutes to perfectly balance my fan I had struggled with off and on for YEARS!

The math involved here is amazing! Kudos to the developers!

### 2/5 — Gave impossible instructions

*2025-06-07, version 2.5*

Asked for distance from center of fan to end of blade which was 26”. Then when it came time to give the measurements for actually placing the clips to balance the fan it was telling me to place one of the clips 21.25” from end of blade. That measurement puts me into the metal arm of the blade holder and off the blade where there is no place to put the clip. Same with the other one it asked me to place at 20.5”. Completely off the blade. Unusable with these instructions.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Does not work in vaulted ceilings.

*2025-09-22, version 2.5*

The app was never able to detect the blade movement. I believe it is because my ceiling has vaulted areas. Does not work. I want my money back.

### 1/5 — App does not work

*2025-09-04, version 2.5*

The app could never identify the dot on the bottom of the fan. I tried different color tape, making the dot bigger, and making the dot darker. The app was never able to locate the dot and balance the fan

### 1/5 — Does not work on all fans types.

*2025-06-14, version 2.5*

Buyer be warned you can only use this on older or traditional style fans where the housing does not rotate. It does not tell you this until after you have paid for and downloaded the app but once you open it, it says in the instructions that it cannot be used on fans with rotating housing, which are all of the fans that I am installing today. dear developer, if you reply telling me how I can get my money back and also that you have added to the instructions on the purchase screen that this is only for fans with non-rotating housing I will take this review down.

### 1/5 — Not good at all

*2025-05-18, version 2.5*

Could only get one blade to sync up with the camera. Waste of money.

### 1/5 — 8 blade limit on app, not advertised that way

*2025-05-04, version 2.5*

I cannot even run thru app on my fans as they are 10 blade fans. What the developers leave out of their description of this app is that the blade limit is only 8……Try to add more than 8 blades let me know how that works for ya. Not happy that I paid money for this app only to find out after reading through it and actually trying it out that I couldn’t use it. Not impressed.

### 1/5 — Did nothing for me!

*2025-04-30, version 2.5*

Waste of $2.00. This app would not identify my fan at all.

### 1/5 — Couldn’t get it to work

*2024-11-28, version 2.5*

The app is a good concept, but just couldn’t get it to work. Tried everything, even creating a new dot with tape, different lighting, different fan speed. It did recognize the dot initially, had 91 percent accuracy but couldn’t recognize the fan blades. So tried several more times, even with a selfie stick to be at different angles. Nope, gave up on this app after about a half hour messing with it.

Maybe it will work for you, maybe it won’t. But it didn’t work for me at all. Couldn’t even get past the first fan blade step.

### 1/5 — Fan balance

*2024-07-20, version 2.3.1*

I realized too late that this app cannot handle a 100inch fan

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2023-11-04, version 2.3.1*

This does not work on my iPad. The front camera does not come on and the rear does not detect any wobble.

### 1/5 — Cannot get it to work.

*2023-07-25*

It will read the initial wobble value. then there is confusion on where to go next, but I find the way to get to the screen to be able to read the individual fan blades. The only available selection on that page is four fan blade number one, I select that blade and it reports the wobble value. But then the application does nothing else. It does not auto advance to the next blade or allow any other blade to be selected for reading. when it records the value it makes the beep sound, but then plays a weird little farting sound as well. I believe there is something wrong with the application. This is on an iPhone 14 Pro. I cannot find any way to contact the developer for help.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works great

*2026-06-21, version 2.5*

This way works unbelievably well if you pay close attention to the instructions. In my case, my fan had a dark round thumbscrew that held the light on. By just turning the light on to a low light setting the phone was able to accurately track the center of the wobbling fan and acquire accurate readouts. The computed results were spot on -well done!

### 5/5 — Fixed my vintage Hunter

*2026-06-20, version 2.5*

I picked up an older Hunter ceiling fan from my local Re-store. It had a pretty bad wobble due to the restore mishandling it. It’s very important to follow the preparation steps as this identified that one of the blade irons was not only bent but twisted causing the pitch and blade height to be off. After fixing that, I ran the routine in the app which got the wobble out completely on the first try.

### 5/5 — Time Saver

*2026-05-31, version 2.5*

New ceiling fan had a shimmy-shake thing going on after install. Before breaking out the food scale, disassembling the blades and measuring each one, thought I’d try this optical balancing app out. It worked perfectly! Went from 20.7 units out of balance to zero/one (barely visible wobble). Aces!

### 5/5 — Tedious but worthwhile

*2026-05-28, version 2.5*

I read the poor reviews and purchased anyway and am extremely happy with the results.
Instructions are detailed and I needed to follow them precisely. The app DOES work with sloped ceilings - when it says blades should be the same distance from the ceiling and your ceiling is sloped or uneven simply spin each blade to the same spot before measuring distance from ceiling.
Buy a balancing kit that includes 3 gram weights not 5 gram for better precision.
If the bottom center of the fan spins along with the blades then your “black dot on neutral color painters tape “ must be exactly in the center so it doesn’t move when slowly spinning the fan.
Be sure to use the 3gram clips with the 3gram weights or the 5gram clips with the 5gram weights.
Do all this and the app works beautifully.

### 5/5 — Works as advertised.

*2026-05-24*

I need to get another set of weights as I only had two, but, I got rid of even a hint of wobble all the way up to full speed with my test set. Worth the cost. Follow the instructions exactly and don’t screw around and it works.

### 5/5 — Way better than expected

*2026-01-25*

I was a little skeptical of this, but was willing to accept a little wobble if I could improve it enough to not make noise. I went through the process twice and it is absolutely perfect. I ended up putting weights on multiple blades at various lengths. There is no way I would have gotten it that still through trial and error on my own. Saved me hours of work, a mental breakdown, and probably a still kinda wobbly fan.

### 5/5 — Works great

*2025-11-09, version 2.5*

Does exactly what it says it does.

### 5/5 — Easy-Peasy

*2025-10-19, version 2.5*

I installed a new ceiling fan this afternoon. It’s mounted on a vaulted ceiling and the fan blades only have around an inch of clearance. I should probably get a longer downrod, but the two previous fans were fine.

The new fan had the very slightest wobble. Not enough to really notice, but enough that the fan blades were tapping the ceiling.

I tried balancing it manually and spent too much time with no better results. Then I read about this app on Reddit.

It took around ten minutes using the app and got the exact best place to add weights on two blades. Now the fan is completely wobble free at all speeds.

Truly a great tool.

### 5/5 — Works as Advertised

*2025-10-01*

I was somewhat skeptical that it would work, but it was only CAD$3.99, so why not?
It worked perfectly. I placed the weights exactly where the program said, and the wobble disappeared completely. However, I did need 2 clips for testing, so I ordered a set from Amazon.

### 5/5 — Now I want to balance all my fans!!

*2025-09-28, version 2.5*

This app is the tool I needed to balance my wobbly fan that squeaked. It helped me find which blade needed the weight and where to place it. I like its objective measurement. I started with a wobble score of 30 and ended with 2.5. To my eye, it’s perfectly still at full speed. A few tips, put the camera on a step ladder for consistency. I used small paper binder clips from my office. I numbered the tops of my fan blades with a magic marker.
