There is no way to ask a question, there is no FAQ section, it has no definitive direction on a dress code for all occasions. Is the formal night suit and tie or is it dress pants and a nice shirt. As a first time cruiser I wish irt offer more tips on our room choice. We always wanted to cruise and if this is how Celebrity welcomes guest that have never traveled this way will probably be seeking other companies that are more willing to help me out as opposed to once you have my email address you are blowing it up with Cruise offers for other places but nothing to benefit me on the cruise I am about to take. If I am not satisfied by some perks on this first cruise others will definitely be out of the question. We got a no balcony room because we were unsure. Special thanks to Pipit, Ladyle, and Tristan in Grand Epinade for our almost daily dinner, they mad our meals service very memorable and thank you for the wonderful delicious food from the galley chefs. I think Solstice is the best, the bars, food, sun loungers and staff were 1st class. On day 6 our cards were discontinued and our accounts zeroed out so I could not spend the rest of my available money. Lots of we love you from the staff but that is just a facade so I would not recommend Celebrity to my friends. Staff amazing always smiling waited on us hand and foot . The food definitely fine dining and delicious . The activities particularly the shows all fantastic . The ship is immaculate . If I could have scored more than 5 star I would . Fabulous holiday all round . Staff work so hard to give everyone a great time . One wee thing would be it would be nice to have an extra swimming pool as the main one outside always packed out . Annoyed with the pressure to let them retain my documents to make others’ check in easier. Also tired of everyone wanting my biometric data. Unfortunately, our most recent experience during a medical emergency was extremely disappointing and has changed our view of the company. When a serious medical situation occurred during our cruise, we expected the cruise line to provide reasonable support and assistance in helping us access medical care and, importantly, helping our family navigate the situation so that we could be together at the appropriate ports. Instead, we found the process incredibly difficult and felt that we were largely left to figure things out ourselves during an already frightening and stressful situation. A medical emergency is something no family ever wants to experience while traveling, and we understand that there are limitations to what a cruise line can control. However, we expected compassion, communication, and practical assistance from a company we had trusted and cruised with many times before. What was most upsetting was not simply the medical mishap itself, but the lack of support when our family needed it most. Trying to obtain medical assistance and coordinate getting family members to the right ports became unnecessarily difficult and added significant stress to an already traumatic situation. We have always spoken positively about Celebrity Cruises, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. We hope Celebrity takes situations like ours seriously and considers how much difference genuine support and assistance can make to families facing a medical crisis onboard. From the minute we arrived at the cruise terminal we felt so special and delighted with the priority service. We met our Butler Azhar, who was very attentive and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. We loved our chats with Azhar and we hope to see him again soon sometime. Our housekeeping attendant Wayan kept our room fresh and replenished at all times, he was always pleasant and helpful. A waitress who really stood out for us was Marianna at the Martini Bar, she served us our very first drinks but then we couldn’t find her again, only to realise she is actually permanently stationed at the Speak Easy bar, we found it by chance! We were delighted to see her again, her friendly personality and professionalism stood out for us, we will miss her. We loved the team at Cyprus Restaurant, namely Moch, Windy and Gerard. We loved the ambiance and friendship whenever we dined there. Moch was a very attentive waiter, warm and friendly. Windy an excellent sommelier, always knew our preferred wine and made us so welcome. She was always so warm and friendly. Gerard was always very welcoming and pleasant. Our last night on board was my husbands birthday, you all made it so special thank you. Thank you all so much we will miss you all so much. We will definately be back on board Xcel and will see you all again soon we hope. Celebrity offers cruising on an elevated level for adults who enjoy fine dining , esthetically beautiful ships with the most professional staff. The food is elevated in the main dining room so you never have to pay extra for the “good stuff”.
