## What is Celiac Collective?

Celiac Collective was built by a registered nurse who lives with celiac disease, for everything that comes after the diagnosis.

A diagnosis can answer one big question while creating a hundred new ones. How do you order at a restaurant? What actually matters on a food label? How do you explain cross-contact to someone who thinks “just a crumb” is no big deal?

Celiac Collective helps you navigate the everyday reality of living with celiac disease, with practical tools, trustworthy information, and a community that gets it.

WHAT’S INSIDE:

Daily tracker:
Log how you’re feeling in under a minute, including symptom severity, energy, specific symptoms, and what you ate. Over time, your entries can help you spot patterns and give you something concrete to discuss with your care team.

Community:
Connect with people who understand the things that can be hard to explain to everyone else. Share wins, ask questions, vent, and talk about the everyday situations that come with living gluten-free.

Eating out:
Explore nearby restaurants and see what each venue says about its gluten-free options, along with reports from the community. Celiac Collective gives you information to investigate further, but never declares a restaurant safe. No app can see what is happening inside a kitchen.

Flare tools:
A calmer place to land when symptoms spike, with gentle meal ideas, practical self-care tools, community support, and easy access to crisis resources when you need them.

Learn:
Plain-language guides covering cross-contact, food labels, conversations with doctors, eating out, and the practical realities of living with celiac disease.

Resource library:
A curated collection of trusted organizations, educational resources, and support services for the celiac community.

WITH PREMIUM

Unlimited Celiac AI:
Ask questions about ingredients, labels, celiac disease, and related topics, then get a plain-language educational response backed by cited sources.

Celiac AI can explain what an ingredient is, help you understand a label, and summarize what reputable sources say. It will never tell you that a specific food is safe for you. Ingredients can change, cross-contact cannot be determined from a label, and that decision should never come from a chatbot.

Registered nurse support:
Message a real registered nurse who also lives with celiac disease for practical, peer-based support.

Food scanner:
Scan a product barcode to review its ingredient list against known gluten-containing ingredients. Anything that deserves a closer look is flagged and explained so you know what to investigate further.

WHAT CELIAC COLLECTIVE WILL NOT DO

Celiac Collective will not tell you that a specific food is safe. It will not tell you that a restaurant is safe.

It gives you context, explains what matters, shows you the sources, and leaves the final decision with you.

Celiac Collective provides education and peer support, not medical care. Nothing in the app is a diagnosis, treatment plan, or substitute for advice from your healthcare team.

The core app is free. Premium is $9.99/month or $99/year.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.1.2 — 2026-08-18

Fixes in this update:

The app no longer asks the setup questions again after you've already answered them.
The "Enter the Collective" button now works if your session has expired, and your answers are kept.
Restaurant search now finds the right place when you type a zip code.
The keyboard no longer covers the box when you reply to a post.
Your question stays on screen in Celiac AI instead of disappearing when the answer arrives.

Thanks for the reports — keep them coming.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-16

Our biggest update since launch.

Scan a barcode. Look up a product's ingredient list in seconds. If it isn't in the database, we tell you so instead of guessing.

Celiac AI. Ask anything about celiac disease and get an answer grounded in real, cited sources. It won't tell you whether a particular food is right for you — nobody can do that from a screen — but it will explain what to look for and why.

Eat out. Find places near you that other people with celiac have mentioned, with what they actually reported rather than a star rating. Search any town or zip code and set how far you're willing to go.

See your patterns. Your symptom logs now turn into trends and possible triggers over time, drawn only from what you've logged yourself.

A daily brief. A short, personal read each morning about where you're at.

Also new: editable self-care checklists, traveller cards for eating away from home, and a much larger library of articles and resources.

Plus a long list of fixes across the keyboard, the community and the tracker.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-11

Premium is here. Celiac Collective has always been free and stays
free. Premium adds three things: unlimited Celiac AI, direct
support from a registered nurse who lives with celiac disease, and
the food scanner.

Also in this update:

· A refreshed look across the whole app
· Message a nurse straight from the home screen
· Scan results are easier to read, with ingredient names and the
reason they're flagged laid out clearly
· Fixes and improvements throughout

### 1.0 — 2026-07-20

No release notes.
