## What is Celiscan?

Celiscan tells you whether a packaged food is safe for a gluten-free or celiac diet, instantly, and with the reason behind every answer.

Point your camera at a barcode or an ingredients label. Celiscan checks it against Open Food Facts, reads the label on-device, and when a label is ambiguous it uses AI to parse it, then gives you a clear verdict:

Gluten-Free / May Contain / Contains Gluten / Not Sure Yet

Every verdict shows the evidence: the flagged ingredient, the certification, or the "may contain" warning. We're deliberately conservative. Oats and cross-contamination are flagged, and we never show a false "safe." When we're not sure, we say so.

Celiscan requires a Celiscan Pro subscription ($39.99/year or $9.99/month) after a 7-day free trial. Celiscan Pro includes:

- Barcode and ingredients-label scanning
- Evidence-backed verdicts, always see why
- Conservative by design (oats, "may contain", hidden sources flagged)
- My Pantry: save, organize, and re-check products
- Data from Open Food Facts (ODbL)
