This app perfectly scanned a 1977 Chianti and correctly identified that the peek window was in 1983! I guess that bottle will be a gag gift :) — but seriously great app.

When CellarLog asks whether to remove a batch of bottles, your answer stays with that batch. Anything removed while you're reading waits for its own question. And removing a copy from your device stays just that: a decision about your device.

View Only guests can still bring back their own copies from Not Syncing, without changing the shared cellar. Actions that change things for everyone stay with the people who can edit.

We've fixed a case where Remove for Everyone could appear settled before the removal was saved. We've also lightened the work behind Decide Later, so a batch you've set aside doesn't keep being read in the background.

A question worth asking.

When a lot goes at once, CellarLog asks.

If someone in your Shared Cellar removes a large number of bottles in one go, CellarLog has always held those removals back on your devices rather than let a slip or a runaway sync empty a cellar. What it never did was tell you. Now it asks — who removed what, by name — and you choose: remove them here too, or keep your copies. Anything you keep waits under Not Syncing on the Shared Cellar screen until you decide to share it again or let it go.

The same courtesy runs the other way: clear out a case or two on your own phone and CellarLog checks before it removes them for everyone else.

The cellar found its stride. Glass, without the drag.

The Glass cellar now glides smoothly through even a well-stocked collection, including on earlier Pro Max models. The photo still softens as you scroll, the controls still float above the cellar, and the look you chose remains intact. We polished the movement without polishing away the character.

No more mistaken goodbyes.

A few households updating to 2.03 were told their cellar was "no longer shared" when it very much was. CellarLog now checks with iCloud before it says anything of the kind, so a shared cellar stays shared until someone actually decides otherwise.

The right cellar, always.

If the iCloud account on a device ever changes, Shared Cellar quietly steps aside on that device and tells you why, leaving your own cellar exactly where it was. Sign back in, and it finds its way home.

Two fixes, one bottle. An invitation that waits for you.

Tap a Shared Cellar invitation while CellarLog is closed and it now waits for the app to finish opening, instead of occasionally slipping away in the moment before the screen appears. However many windows you have open, the invitation arrives once, in one place, and stays until you answer it.

Share a cellar from your iPhone, then open your iPad, and it used to greet you like a stranger — offering to set up the very cellar you had just shared. Every device now asks iCloud first and finds the household you already belong to, so the same people, the same bottles, and the same invitations are waiting wherever you pick the app up.

And 2.02?

A perfectly good vintage. We had it open on the bench, decided it wanted a little longer on the lees, and by the time it was ready there was more in the glass — so everything 2.02 held is poured into this one. Nothing lost but a number.

An invitation that opens where it should. Tap it, and you're in.

Shared Cellar invitations now open straight in CellarLog. Tapping a link used to send some people to the App Store to fetch a version they already had — the app hadn't told iOS it could accept invitations. It has now. And invitations go out through the share sheet, so you can send one by Messages, Mail, or anything else on the list, instead of only by email.

Lighter on its feet.

A shared cellar was doing quiet work on every scroll — checking each bottle for your own tasting notes, and doing it again for every comparison while sorting. On a large collection that showed. It now asks once per bottle, and skips the question entirely for anyone who hasn't written a note in that cellar. The lists move the way they used to.
