### 4/5 — Very helpful

*2026-08-02, version 2.22.0*

Looking forward to improvements in the receipt upload and bottle recognition algorithms. Also, being able to delete bunk receipt uploads in their entirety would be very handy – having to delete one entry at a time is pretty cumbersome. But all in all, a very useful cellar management application.

### 4/5 — Unable to add wines

*2026-07-14, version 2.21.1*

I downloaded the app and started to add wines. Intermittently, when I fill in all the info and press “Add to Cellar” I get a pop-up that says “Unable to save. Please try again”.

Cellar tracker got back to me. As usual it was a problem between the seat and the keyboard. My only further comment would be better error messages to explain what was wrong.

I am updating my rating based on excellent customer service.

### 3/5 — Well, it’s free

*2026-07-08, version 2.21.1*

It’s just very clunky. Hard to see how much a bottle of wine costs before consuming it. The update made it MORE difficult to
Consume. Why???

### 4/5 — Great app

*2026-06-23, version 2.21.1*

Functionally it’s excellent but the UI has some some quirks and it’s quite expensive if you have a larger collection.

### 5/5 — My Cellar Manager

*2026-05-09, version 2.19.1*

It’s not like I have an extensive cellar, but I have enough bottles that I couldn’t keep track of what I have without writing down dates and drinking windows and other information in a notebook. Even then I couldn’t sort or seek. This tells me everything I need to know in a compact, portable, and digital form. I love the convenience but also being able to access the community for their thoughts on a wine.

### 5/5 — My Cellar Has Come Alive

*2026-05-04, version 2.19.1*

The insights I now have about my collection (at my fingertips no less) escaped me for decades. I’m especially grateful for the Drinkability Index and what wines I need to drink NOW. The app is also prompting me to evaluate each wine more thoroughly when I open a bottle to keep private tasting notes and sometimes offer a public review.

### 5/5 — Excellent Platform

*2026-05-01, version 2.19.1*

It does everything you need and that’s just the free version.

### 5/5 — So easy to use

*2026-04-26, version 2.19.1*

I have used Cellar Tracker for years and I really appreciate all the features it has developed. Cellar Tracker makes it easy for me to organize and maintain my cellar.

### 5/5 — Recommend

*2026-04-19, version 2.19.1*

CellarTracker is easy to use, once you have logged in all of your existing wine. That process can be a chore, but there are helpful tips for doing it. Tips not so helpful if you have older and obscure European wines.

Not only does C/T keep track of your wine and its location, also gives you reviews and information that other users have downloaded.

I’ll never go back to the Excel Spreadsheet I was using before.

Caution! It’s only as good as the User. Remember to log in new purchases and more importantly, remove the ones you drank.

### 5/5 — Super zum Wein verwalten

*2026-04-15*

### 2/5 — Barcode consumption bug still infuriating

*2026-04-09, version 2.19.1*

I have been using this app for many years. Yes it’s great to be able to store and monitor your Wine cellar. Every quarter I would do a stock take and for some reason I would be way out … bottles that I had consumed were still listed. I now find out this is a bug and has been known about for years and it’s still not fixed!! How hard can it be? I spend hours every quarter reconciling something that I have an app that’s supposed to do that.

### 5/5 — AI summaries are a game changer

*2026-03-28, version 2.19.1*

The new updates have been amazing!! I always loved getting the email updates with the AI summaries but it was not available in the app. Now that it has been rolled out to every wine, I’m having a blast going through and reading the summaries of each wine. Great job CT team!

### 5/5 — Fantastic Tool

*2026-03-19, version 2.19.1*

For years, I was frustrated trying to keep track of what wines we had, where they weee stashed and worried that I would forget about one and not find it until it was past its prime. Last year, I took the plunge and signed up for Cellar Tracker and Absolutely love it. The pricing is tiered based on the size of your collection. I love the current Beta feature that allows you to ask questions, like “what should I serve tonight with …”, from what I already have on hand, or sort by “drink now” feedback from other members. Customer service is super responsive if you have a wine that doesn’t pop up right away.

### 5/5 — Keeping your Cellar on Track!

*2026-02-17, version 2.18.1*

Long time member …the size of a cellar over time is elusive. You start out thinking 100 bottles is a lot. You can literally see all of it. Eventually you wish you had started logging bottles in the data base from the start. That this is a communal data base, making entry so simple, with scores, reviews, your favorite critic reviews! Friends’ reviews, comments from certain winemakers…. Wouldn’t dream of any alternative! Now that everything is finally in racks, now to data entry locations… a lot of them!

### 5/5 — Wine Saturday

*2026-02-13, version 2.18.1*

Great app. Don’t know where we would be with our modest wine collection if we didn’t have CellarTracker to keep track of location, quality and quantity of wine stored. I used this app for 17 years and highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Great Visibility

*2026-01-31, version 2.18.1*

Wonderful intersection of excellent tools, detailed information and a knowledgable community. Central to keeping my wine organised and deciding when to drink it.

### 2/5 — UX Update Fail

*2026-01-29, version 2.18.1*

Add back the vintage blocks when you first search a wine. New interface is much slower bc you have to click in to select vintage

### 2/5 — Dec 2025 / Jan 2026 Update

*2026-01-22, version 2.18.1*

One of the worst updates for a phone from the users POV. Thank god they added the search bar back to the top of the app.

When you search a wine, the small vintage blocks are gone. Bring those back. Also, when you click into a wine, you’re now given “Popular Vintages”. Who asked for this?! This appeals to a much smaller audience than, say, “Recent Vintages”. The UI for vintages was so much better before, please revert back…please.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — None of my wines are in the database, and I can’t create new ones myself

*2026-07-31, version 2.22.0*

None of my wines are in the database, and I can’t create new ones myself

### 1/5 — Pay

*2026-07-19, version 2.22.0*

Sold as a great free app. Get the app and majority of functions are locked out unless you pay. False advertising.

### 1/5 — App is trash

*2026-01-07, version 2.17.0*

App isn’t user friendly and premium features don’t work

### 1/5 — Best app

*2025-12-27, version 2.17.0*

It doesn’t let me sing up…

### 1/5 — Old Version Was Much Better

*2025-10-02, version 2.15.0*

Buggy, counterintuitive, user-unfriendly, if you start writing a review and switch apps whatever you typed disappears and the app regresses to some other screen. Subscribed / paid Wine Market Journal plug-in data doesn’t work any more. The new app is backwards and confusing. This used to be much better.

### 1/5 — Rude Customer Service

*2025-09-28, version 2.14.1*

I was trying out a couple of apps and decided to go with another one over this one. I requested to have my account deleted but my phone froze/glitched and I wasn’t sure it submitted so I completed the form again. I then receive the most rude customer service response I think I’ve received from any company (see quoted email below since it won’t let me upload a screenshot). Needless to say, I’m glad I didn’t want to keep this app in the first place because why would anyone want to support a company who employs people like this.

“You are purged. Why are you sending an account removal request again after 1 minute? We literally say "Thank for your patience. We will get back to you soon to remove your CellarTracker account."

It is Saturday night. It is done.

Amazing.”

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2025-07-26, version 2.12.1*

Its such a clunky old interface, clearly built by someone without good UI experience. Quite shocking that it has gained traction. Linking with WMJ feels like going back to 1980s also. Overall, there are better options out there

### 1/5 — Bad UX design—shame, shame, shame.

*2025-07-23, version 2.12.0*

The CellarTracker app was obviously due for an update, but this is all form and no substance. Think about users using their phones with one hand. Having a search button at the bottom of the page, then a search bar all the way at the top, I find myself scrolling up and down a lot needlessly—a problem I didn’t have with the old app. Also, where are the pro reviews? I can’t see whether Jancis or Decanter have reviews for relevant wines anymore, even though I subscribe and always want to know what they have to say, so now I have to do three separate searches. Such an incredible fail—as a longtime user, I’m just furious that you messed this up so badly, and hope you’ll fire the person in charge. Clearly didn’t take time to understand the nuances of how CellarTracker provided a good and worthwhile experience for users.

### 1/5 — New and unimproved—garbage

*2025-07-11, version 2.11.3*

If you want to do serious work on your cellar, get the legacy version!

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2025-05-30, version 2.10.6*

I had good expectations, but: the interface is clunky and slow, you end up recording more bottles as you are not sure they were in the first time, then deleting it becomes a chore, as you need to do it one by one. The value calculations are wrong…. That is weird as it is a simple multiplication. My third bottle I tried to upload, it just sent an erro message saying “unable to upload” I had to delete them and redo it twice. Sorry, not a good experience for me. I was ready to pay the extra $ for the pro version but will certainly not do so now.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Owner

*2026-08-23, version 2.23.0*

It’s easy to use putting all the bottles in was a daunting task, but this software allows you to do it without a lot of effort

### 5/5 — Wine

*2026-08-01, version 2.22.0*

It’s nice to be able to track our wines. Use it often to check when we bought a wine or if we enjoyed it.

### 5/5 — Best wine tracking database I have ever used

*2026-07-16, version 2.22.0*

This is by far, the best database I have ever used to track my wine collection over several wine lockers in many locations. It is very easy to customize for what I need and the integration with other wine sites and professional wine connoisseurs is nothing less than excellent.

### 5/5 — Easy to use and find information on my Collection.

*2026-07-07, version 2.21.1*

I love this app. Take a photograph of bottle, up comes a choice and then add purchase date and cost. The drinking window is very useful. On occasions, the app hasn’t found my wine so I submit a photo of back and front and within hours I get an email with information. So impressed.

### 5/5 — Wine Cave

*2026-06-13, version 2.21.1*

Just put in a wine cellar. So nice to see what we have!!! I really like that I am able to comment on my wine and recreate the ambiance or not.
Cheers to the App Creators🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷

### 5/5 — Awesome customer service!

*2026-06-11, version 2.20.3*

My husband and I have been using this app to manage our wine for years. We each loaded the app to our phones and signed on under his user id and password. All of a sudden that wouldn’t work. He could get in but I couldn’t. Even tried deleting app and reloading and changing the password. My husband reached out via the app to them and got a response in less than 24 hrs. After a few emails back and forth they figured out the problem was the new VPN I had just loaded to my phone. Super impressed!!

### 5/5 — So Great

*2026-06-09, version 2.20.3*

This software is so clearly made by people who care about the software itself and wine. It’s flexible where it needs to be while still having reasonable opinions. Just a joy to use, reasonably priced as well.

### 5/5 — Easy way to keep track of my wine!

*2026-05-30, version 2.20.3*

Honestly haven’t found a better way to track wine I buy (and need to let age). It lets me sort by drinking window, not just varietals or name!

### 5/5 — Kind of obsessed

*2026-05-27, version 2.20.3*

So much fun-

### 5/5 — Super

*2026-05-10, version 2.19.1*

Great site. Handles all request’s seamlessly!
