## What is CelloPad?

Hold a button and tilt your iPhone or iPad from side-to-side to play notes: two virtual cellists improvise a melody and bass, while you shape the tempo and expression. The faster you move, the louder the note. Each change in direction starts a new note, but you don’t need to know which notes to play: CelloPad improvises melodies, bass lines and chord progressions based on classical compositions like Bach’s Cello Suites. You can focus on how long and expressive every individual note is. It’s easy enough for anyone to play without any musical training, but it sounds deeply emotional, expressive, and professional.

THREE WAYS TO PLAY
• Solo: one cellist alone.
• Duo: a melody over a held bass note.
• Contra: two independent melodic lines in counterpoint.

SHAPE THE HARMONY
Tap Change to move to a new chord on your next note, and Resolve to return home to the key’s main chord. Choose any key, major or minor.

MADE FOR PLAYING
• Cello sound with natural bow changes and vibrato
• Spatial audio on headphones places the cellists around you
• Bow with touch: play by sliding your finger instead of tilting
• A guided walk-through gets you playing in a minute
• Works with VoiceOver and larger text

CELLOPAD PRO
A one-time purchase, no subscription:
• Richer chord colors: 7ths and borrowed dominants
• Improvisation style and steering: from safe lines to adventurous ones, leaning up or down where you hold
• Bowing complexity with double stops, release and reverb controls
• An oboe for the melody and a bassoon for the bass
• Coach mode: chord names, timing hints and automatic chord changes
• Color themes: tint the background and orb with a preset or any hue, or let them slowly shift
• MIDI: play other instruments and music apps, or follow chords played in
