### 1/5 — WHERE IS NO STARS FOR A RATING?

*2024-01-25, version 8.2.0*

This has to be THE WORST APP EVER!!!! You log in with a thumbprint, it tells you that your password has expired and to manually enter your current password - which you do - and then it doubles back and tell you that your thumbprint is incorrect!?! Make it make sense somebody…smh. Who has time to keep calling and sitting on hold forever waiting for someone to reset the password when it’s something that should be standard for the app? Nobody! This is the most useless app to be used to track someones time. You can’t not have on the GPS which attributes to draining the battery while the app is running. You can enter time for a previous day if you’re not able to (because the power was out and you couldn’t charge your device, for example). You have to go through 3 or 4 different screens just to get to the screen to press start time. It’s just poorly designed and developed. Your only other option is doing it by phone but you can’t do that if you’re registered for the app or no longer have a landline, which many don’t have these days, because the phone has to be at the address of the attendant or employer of records home. I’d rather have my attendant fill out a paper timesheet and fax it in at this point. This entire system that Optima/Sentara has is underwhelming at best. They should’ve just left it with Public Partnerships.

### 1/5 — Worst app

*2023-11-10, version 8.1.8*

Who on God’s green earth can think up a new password every 3 months AND remember each one to be able to change it without getting locked out despite using face ID???

And who do they think is trying to log into my app and log work hours for me? Like you know where the phone is because of location tracking, you really think I’m giving someone my phone and having them login here? And if I were I could just give them my password?

It’s one of a half dozen steps this app requires just to log in and out and honest to God I’m so sick of it.

I’ve gotta call customer service again and be on hold forever just to reset my password again cause somehow there’s no way to save your password and use face ID, which is so absurd. I’ve been putting it off for a month cause I’ve got more important things in my life than dealing with work outside of work hours. I don’t get paid to be on hold and waste my time trying to figure out the world’s most inconvenient app ever created for the simple task of signing in and out.

My patient was on a different waiver previously and that waiver used a different login app that gave me no trouble at all. Either this app company needs to get it together and make the process smooth like every other clock in/out app on the market, or people in charge need to actually look at the reviews before committing healthcare workers to have to endure this app.

### 1/5 — Worst app ever

*2023-09-25, version 8.1.8*

Please change to time4care so my easier to use this is horrible

### 1/5 — Please do better…

*2023-09-02, version 8.1.7*

This app is pretty awful. You can't clock in and out easily or even adjust hours on the app for late clock in/out

No reason both (attendant and EOR) have to sign our names each and every shift. My attendant helps out into the night especially if I’m suffering from a migraine…why does she have to wake me up after my kid is asleep just to have me sign something saying she’s overworked and underpaid 😒 It’s hard enough finding someone to be the attendant (at least around here in a rural area) then to make everyone jump through extra hoops. And I thought Time4Care was bad 🤦🏻‍♀️

We waist more time trying to figure this thing out and still doesn’t want to work.

Please please please make this app better

### 1/5 — Worst app ever!

*2023-07-23, version 8.1.6*

Hate hate hate hate hate this app. You can’t clock in and out easily, adjust time (for late clock out), can’t tell total weekly hours because it doesn’t show adjusted time EVER. EOR can’t even get her side to work STILL. This is the worst app ever in existence for what it’s supposedly intended for. You can’t even tell where you are in the two week work cycle. And why do we both (attendant and EOR) have to sign our names each and every shift. This is ridiculous. Hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate this app!!!! Take a hint from Time4Care. It is miserable trying to work with this worthless app.

### 1/5 — Badly in need of update to match web page functionality

*2023-07-19, version 8.1.6*

This app works very differently than and its interface is primitive compared to the web page that I use to enter hours for CDVA.

Please increase the screen size to match modern cell phones, and consider an expanded version for larger screens like tablets.

Please allow copy, cut, and paste in text fields, including login and password.

Please give option to make password visible when entering it. Especially important when setting new password, to see that both entries match.

The web page doesn’t require a signature from me or my employer. Why does the app?

### 1/5 — Jumping adding database

*2023-06-23, version 8.1.5*

Beside all others trouble. Now a new one, the app close when intent to add new databases in outputs I did straight and using menu or list provided. Now my patient only pi one time in 10 hours. Just bucause the app want . Is impossible work with this S.. Garbage

### 1/5 — Awful App

*2023-06-19*

the app is awful. It consumes battery and they track you even outside working hours, attending to the patient, with the palm of the hand it turned off and closed the shift. I couldn't follow the shift. I called the office so they would know what's going on. invasion of privacy is a concern. sure it's easy to flood with viruses or web spies

### 1/5 — Tracks you 24/7

*2023-05-09, version 8.1.4*

I saw another reviewer mentioned they had to power off their cell phone to get the app to stop tracking them and eating their battery power. I noticed the same thing and so I removed the app from my phone all together. It should only track when I clock into work and I’m using the app, but instead it tracks 24/7. I’ll go the old-fashioned way and just turn in a timesheet. No, thanks!

### 1/5 — App crashes

*2023-04-04, version 8.1.1*

When i go back in to add additional information to an assessment or make changes the app shuts down. I’ve always disliked this App and wonder why the company I work for uses it. It must be cheap. I would not recommend this app if I had a business that required entering nursing documentation. Please if you are reading this please find another app for your client input.

### 1/5 — Participant

*2022-09-15, version 8.0.6.777*

My client will no longer pop up in my participants page. My company can’t figure out why, either. This is annoying. I’d like to be able to get paid for the job I’m doing.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2022-05-31, version 8.0.5.688*

Terrible

### 1/5 — Difficult to use

*2022-05-24, version 8.0.5.688*

Alright, my patient, who I’ve been working for for 12 years, got switched to a new waiver in the same state that requires this app. The previous waiver used the time4care app, which I was able to set up in minutes and start using right away. Easy to sign in, easy to sign out. Customer service was always fast.

This app took me weeks to get signed up with… first off, the instruction sheet I was sent by the rep said I could use celltrak or celltrak 1.7. I assumed 1.7 was the latest version so I downloaded that… the provision information provided wouldn’t work. But it didn’t give me an error message that would suggest it was the wrong information, instead it said it couldn’t connect. So I assumed the app was down for maintenance and tried again later. Still no luck. Tried a different ID from elsewhere in my paperwork, same message. I called customer service. Was on hold for a while before it finally shot me to a voicemail. Left a voicemail, and in 36 hours no one had called me back. Thanks that’s awesome. Called again, finally got ahold of someone who figured out I was using the wrong app. Despite the instructions explicitly stating you can, you can’t use 1.7. Downloaded the right app and got signed up. No way to put in the time that I had missed on the app, have to go to the directmycare website. The website wouldn’t let me enter new times, everything was grayed out. Finally let me enter this morning for no apparent reason—though one of my shifts was out of the “grace period.”

To the app… it makes you (the attendant) and the employer of record put your signature in at the end of *every* shift… that’s not something I had to do in time4care and it’s one more annoying and unnecessary step that makes me feel like they’re treating caregivers like criminals. Having to deal with all the drop down menus on a tiny phone is annoying. It’d be cool if it at least saved your commonly used settings.

### 1/5 — Poor updates

*2022-04-15, version 8.0.2.673*

I made the mistake of updating now the app crashes anytime i click the reports link. I need to have access to review the hours ive worked!! Fix it!!!!!!

### 2/5 — No consistency in operation

*2021-09-29, version 7.4.3.330*

Locks up, cancels out patient visits without user prompts. Location is not always accurate. A big head most days. Seems CellTrak has a mind of its ownI’m actually re downloading to see if that helps.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2021-05-27, version 7.4.3.330*

Awful glitchy app that drains battery fast! Tons of glitches! Will drain a battery in 1-2 hours!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Accessibility Violations

*2026-08-11, version 8.9.1*

Disabling copy and paste as well as password autofill is unacceptable and is an accessibility violation. I am unable to use my assistive apps to fill in my password and other data and passkeys aren’t supported either, let alone two factor authentication. This is unacceptable and speaks of amateurish software development- whatever you did to break your input fields so badly needs to be fixed. How did this ever pass HIPAA?

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2025-11-11, version 8.9.0*

Application is not reliable.

### 1/5 — Nope

*2025-09-09, version 8.8.0*

So many upgrades to this app could be made. Functionality could be better. Plus, app goes by 15 minute increments which I hate so much. Which leads me to wonder since this pushes my time around inaccurately, if this also jips me on my drive time in between clients. I highly recommend going the safe route and just using the paper documents. This app is a real head ache.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2025-08-10, version 8.7.0*

It keeps closing out which requires for the person to have to go in office to verify there time it also log you out system and makes you start all over

### 1/5 — Worst app

*2025-03-03, version 8.5.0*

This app is so outdated. Nothing is intuitive but instead appears to be purposely difficult with extra steps instead assigned tasks at different hours.

### 1/5 — 🫤🫤

*2025-02-09, version 8.5.0*

No login option. Every time I open the app there is only a registration option, which I have already done.

### 1/5 — I don’t like that I’m being track after I’m off the clock …

*2024-10-30, version 8.4.2*

How come I’m getting track while im off the clock ? Do you gave keep the tracking locations ? Even when I’m off the clock ? Like could you tell me where I was 30 days ago ? Because it’s constantly tracking me

### 1/5 — No license number or authorization code given

*2024-09-22, version 8.4.2*

How am I supposed to use the app if no one gave me a license id and authorization code. Nobody seems to want to help out. I can see why there are so many one star reviews. Willing to change if help is forthcoming.

### 1/5 — Tracking location

*2024-05-13, version 8.3.1*

Does anyone else have a problem with this app tracking your location even after you’ve clocked out and haven’t closed out the app????? Cause unless I have the app logged out and closed it tracks my location

### 1/5 — Password Creation Complicated

*2024-02-09, version 8.2.0*

I just downloaded the app today. I have a secure password key feature on my device that I use to create and save passwords for new accounts. It is my personal device that I have had for years and I don’t lend my device out. I also have a security feature on my device set up so only I can unlock it. When I was trying to login to the CellTrak app today for the first time, the first complication I had with it was creating a password using my secure device. The second complication was in trying to copy and paste the password that my device securely created because as soon as I went to paste it in the password field of the app it would not accept it. So I had to go old fashioned and write down the password on paper that I wanted to use, which I do not consider safe and secure, if that was the motivation for making the app login complicated in the first place. Also, to try to make this a saved password in the Password Key feature of my device, I tried to find your website to address this issue by creating and saving the password on my device. Couldn’t do that either because I don’t know the right website address and so that didn’t work out either. How is any of this good for me in trying to use your app? And finally, if perhaps somehow I was to want or need to change my password, I’d have the same issue and have to write it down on paper and manually transfer it to the app. Given how I had to go through hoops to login today, not sure how that would turn out. My current score in the faith of usability of your app is 0-1. Please fix this issue and make your app better in manageability. Thank you.

### 5/5 — 🙄

*2025-09-17, version 8.8.0*

🙄

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-01-13*

This app is great. I have had no problems with the app at all. And the support team is very responsive. I haven’t seen many apps that have taken as many things into consideration as this one and I appreciate the time the developer(s) must have committed to making an app for medical and care work so efficient and easy to understand.

### 5/5 — Home Care Giver

*2019-11-26, version 6.3.0.12*

This app is so much easier to use than paper. I have been a caregiver for several years and the fact that I can track my time and not have to go to the office on a weekly
Basis is amazing. It allows me to communicate with my office and shows me my schedule so I don’t have to write it all down anymore

### 5/5 — Best solution for me (Homecare Aide)

*2019-11-26, version 6.3.0.12*

This company really cares for Aides...helps me keep in touch my office, manage my schedule and do my documentation. I don’t want to go back to paper.

### 5/5 — Easy to use!

*2019-11-26, version 6.3.0.12*

The new look is much easier to navigate and use. This is a great way to keep staff safe! All states now require caregivers use a system to prove the visit was complete. This is a great tool to meet that need and not act like big brother when you’re off shift. Love this app!

### 5/5 — Application Manager

*2019-02-21, version 5.9.5.1*

Love working with CellTrak. Easy to use and glad to get rid of paper. Working with the vendor they are very supportive.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2019-01-30, version 5.9.5.1*

So easy! I love the changes you are making. Thank you!

### 4/5 — It’s okay

*2025-10-25, version 8.9.0*

I do get pings at times and I go look at the phone and click on the app because it’s coming from the app and there’s nothing there. And they always cost me say your schedule has been updated ping but then again there’s nothing there so I wish you guys kind of figure that out and you’re giving a client a shower who is a fall risk you really don’t want to look at your phone because that potential risk can make that client fall

### 4/5 — Reports/schedules

*2023-02-22, version 8.0.8.1042*

It would be helpful if you were able to see your reports and schedule while you are clocked in. Sometimes I go over in morning shift I am supposed to take how much I go over off the evening. I forget to screen shot my report front the morning sometimes. Honestly I shouldn’t have to screen shot it.

### 4/5 — So much easier

*2019-01-08, version 5.9.5.1*

OMG
What a difference- doing everything on my phone instead of paper goes so much faster. My paychecks are on time too!
