Utter DIE incompetence. Don’t even bother using the new app. Use the browser. ### 1/5 — Not good *2025-09-20, version 4.0* Having “updated” to the new version….. After watching an episode on my iPhone 14, if I want to watch any different content on the application, I have to completely shut down/restart my phone. And, after watching whatever it was I watched, I have to shut down and restart my phone to view another. A d so on. The audio player freezes after every episode and won’t allow me to get back to the main menu. I need to restart my phone every single time I listen to an episode. ### 4/5 — Great content - ok app. *2025-08-06* Please fix these bugs! • An issue where audio can place twice when tapping pause/play on the Lock Screen. • Video stuttering or pausing and going out of full screen when flipping to horizontal mode. • There’s no return button back to the page you were on after watching a video. • If you return to the app after running it in the background for a period of time, the app freezes and forces you to restart. ### 2/5 — Update is worse *2025-07-23, version 4.0* I can’t speak for android but as an apple user the app is weak. Fonts are extra small and contrast is bad. Episodes aren’t marked or dated so if you don’t remember the episode number you have to always browse through the episodes to figure out where u left off. You can’t leave a show once starting an episode just browse other episodes. If you want to go to another show you have to quit the app then restart. I appreciate the video feed staying up in the background. What sock is it? Any text message, any email, anything else stops it. When you like to play it again, it starts the beginning of the episode. I’m glad to hear picture-in-picture is here, but now other things are broken. The page button is completely gone so I can’t scroll to older shows to catch up, and I can’t scroll down the “Shows” tab and select “see more” without it being cut off. It’s absolutely awful. I’m not talking about the content, some of that is fine - anthony cumia is great, obviously - but attempting to have this app. work properly is like trying to block the waters of a New Orleans hurricane with a dike, only to realize that the one you had was more interested in if “hurricane shaneisha had a chomp-able box with. Anyway. They keep saying they are releasing an update that will fix it, but it never does. Good luck trying to watch in full screen, or leaving a comment, or going back to full screen. It very bad. On top of all of that, Gavin is… becoming? more of a gay guy every day ### 1/5 — AIDS in App Form *2026-03-21, version 4.0* Love the G Dawg but this app is terrible. Plays 2 shows at one time. Sometimes picks up where you left off sometimes doesn’t. Glitches when you switch from portrait to Landscape. It’s just awful. ### 1/5 — Greatest Talent on an Platform - App is Absolute Garbage *2026-03-20, version 4.0* This app performs so badly I don’t even know where to start. It’s literally different every time I open it. One day it works, the next day I can’t get the option to download open. One day it works, the next day I get a can’t connect to servers popup whether I am on full WiFi strength or full 5G cellular. It hasn’t been updated in over 9 months. Ironically, the Help & Support button doesn’t even work. Ant and Gav, you guy need to lay into the company who maintains your app. It needs a lot of fixing. And I have been signed up with Compound since before Ant Man started charging for the service, so I have been through the nightmares of what was the Compound Media app. By year, what, 11, I think this app should be running smoothly. Please I beg you to fix it and do proper maintenance on it with regular updates and tweaks. Even quarterly is acceptable. ### 1/5 — Content 5 stars, app zero *2026-01-19, version 4.0* To be clear, I’m not talking about the content - that’s excellent. Love the G. But for the love of everything holy, hire a decent dev and fix this app. It is without question the most frustrating pile of code I’ve ever had to use. Multiple failures daily on a my old iPhone and new iPhone 17, iOS 26. Try to watch full screen and it blanks out. Move from one BT device to another and 2 shows will play at the same time. Rotate the screen crashes it. Controls frequently disappear. The UI is entirely unintuitive and difficult to work. Constantly closing and reopening app to watch. Super clunky UI, reminds me of MySpace, like from some “Learn how to code” online course from 2012. Been a huge Gav fan since TGMS and subbed this since day 1, but dude, stop being such a cheap Scot and loosen the purse strings for a decent app. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2026-01-14, version 4.0* The app is BARELY functional since the rebuilt update. Unfortunately, the app (especially the most recent update) is absolute garbage! Glitchy, cuts out when rotating phone, double plays episodes when connecting to Bluetooth, the list goes on. Things are so slow to load when opening the app. If you are watching something, there’s no way to close it without closing the app entirely. The video player does not appear at all (meaning I can’t scrub, pause, or resume). This is not exclusive to the phone app. The ipad app and even safari on mac has zero controls. Have you used your product?! It was a little rocky the first week of the big facelift but it looks like the boys ironed out the connectivity issues so bravo my boys, my boys. It has plenty we’ve wanted to see added. The in app chat function works great, although I’m an anti-social recluse, so I won’t make much use of it, personally. I’ll update with some suggestions possibly, but one thing that might be neato is customizable notifications for individual shows / for live streams. Just a thought. Pop out player doesn’t work, and there’s some issues with switching back and forth from full screen once an episode has ended, but video is high quality, can be pre-downloaded for flights, and of course Censored.TV is one of the best content networks in existence.
