## What is Central Brain?

Central Brain keeps track of everything at home that drives, heats or gets paid — your cars, property, bills and subscriptions in one place, with an AI assistant that runs entirely on your phone.

CARS & EVS
• Service intervals by make and model — for EVs including tire rotation, brake fluid and battery checks
• Vehicle inspection, highway vignette, insurance and tire changes with reminders
• Odometer with a smart mileage estimate
• Service history with costs, and a fuel log with consumption stats
• Scan documents with the camera: VIN, plate and tire size fill themselves in
• Keep vehicle documents (registration, invoices) in one place

HOME & PROPERTY
• Statutory inspections — chimney, gas boiler, electrical, lightning rod and more — with intervals and reminders
• Attach the inspection report as a photo or scan
• Property tax dates and technician contacts

BILLS & SUBSCRIPTIONS
• Czech QR payments (SPAYD) — pay with one scan from your banking app
• Recurring bills with reminders, swipe to mark as paid
• A payment calendar — the whole year month by month, so you know in advance when the big one lands
• You decide what "a month" means: an even average, or only what genuinely falls due that month
• Subscriptions with monthly and yearly totals and price history
• Costs in CZK, EUR and USD

RECEIPTS AND WARRANTIES
• Photograph a receipt and the shop, date and amount fill themselves in
• Search understands several words at once — "shoes Decathlon 2026" finds it
• It tracks the warranty and tells you before it runs out
• Claims: days at the seller are added to the warranty end date
• A photo of the item, its serial number, and who you bought it for

AI ASSISTANT
• Ask: "What needs service?" or "How much do I pay this month?"
• It creates payments, logs services and finds answers in your data
• Runs fully on-device (Apple Intelligence) — nothing is sent to any server

AND MORE
• Home Screen widget with what's coming up
• Siri Shortcuts ("What's due?")
• App lock with Face ID
• No account, no sign-up — works right after install

BUILT FOR CZECHIA
The deadlines and intervals follow Czech rules: 24 months for a consumer to report a defect (§ 2165 of the Czech Civil Code), with that period suspended while a legitimate claim leaves the item unusable, and inspection intervals from local regulations (chimney yearly, electrical every five years, lightning rod, sewage treatment and more). They are defaults — every date and every interval can be changed, so the app works elsewhere too. It is not legal advice.

Your data stays on your phone. With Premium it syncs through your own iCloud between iPhone and iPad, and you can share it with one household member. The free tier shows a single ad banner on the dashboard; Premium removes it.

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly CZK 149 / yearly CZK 1,490) or a one-time Lifetime purchase (CZK 2,990). Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.0 — 2026-10-09

Payments as they really happened
• A recurring payment is counted from the day you started paying it — it no longer shows up in earlier years. You'll find the date as "Paying since" when editing a payment.
• Past months are counted at the price that applied back then.
• Payment history: marking a payment paid creates a record. Tap it to correct the day it was really paid, or the amount.
• Refunds and overpayments — an energy statement, say — are logged right on the payment.
• You can add a note to a payment.

Calendar and Reminders
• Due dates go into Calendar as all-day events, with an alert a week ahead at 9:00.
• Property revisions can now be sent to Calendar and Reminders too.
• Settings lets you choose which Reminders list items are saved to.

Shortcuts and Siri
• New actions: Upcoming payments, Log a fill-up, Update odometer and Add a payment.

Plus small fixes and adjustments for iOS 27.

Thank you for the feedback — this release is built from it.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-08-31

RECEIPTS AND WARRANTIES — A NEW SECTION

Photograph a receipt and the shop, date and amount are read off it on your phone. The category is guessed from the name, and everything stays editable.

• Search understands several words at once. "shoes" finds boots and sandals too, because it matches the category rather than just the title; "shoes Decathlon 2026" narrows it to a shop and a year. The assistant answers the same way.
• A countdown to the end of the warranty, and a reminder before it runs out. Switch the length to 24 or 12 months, or set the end date by hand.
• Claims: while the item is with the seller the days are counted, and they are added to the warranty end date according to how you close the claim. You can open a claim straight from the reminder — swipe it, tap View and choose File a claim.
• A photo of the item, its serial number and who it was for, so you can still find it two years later.

MONEY THAT ADDS UP

Until now, yearly and half-yearly bills were spread evenly across the months everywhere. It is a nicely stable number, but no month actually costs that — and then the billing month arrives with a large amount nobody planned for.

You now choose, in Settings ▸ Monthly figures:
• What's due that month — only the amounts that genuinely fall due. A yearly premium shows in full in its billing month and in no other. (The new default.)
• Monthly average — the previous behavior, with yearly bills spread evenly.

The choice applies to every "a month" figure in the app: the dashboard, properties, vehicles, finance and subscriptions. The other reading is never hidden — the dashboard shows both, one large and one beneath it.

Receipts are never counted in any of it. They are purchases already paid for, not payments still ahead of you.

PAYMENT CALENDAR

The six-month chart on the dashboard is now a full year, month by month, with the current month marked. Tap a month to see what it costs; open a category to see the individual bills behind it — house, cars, finance and subscriptions together, each one a tap from its detail. If you prefer a chart, switch to one in Settings ▸ Finance overview.

ALSO IN THIS RELEASE
• Subscriptions moved into Finance as a segment so Receipts fits in the tab bar. Nothing was removed.
• Turn the section on or off any time in Settings ▸ Sections.
• Deadlines follow Czech defaults and every one of them is editable — this is a record, not legal advice.
• Cards no longer wrap on iPad, and the wording has been proofread.

### 1.3.3 — 2026-08-27

Attachments on payments
Every payment can now carry its contract, policy or invoice — scan it, snap a photo, or pick a file. Attachments sync through iCloud, travel with your backup, and open with a tap right in the payment detail.

Payments on cars
Liability insurance, collision cover, road tax or a lease belong to the car — and now that's exactly where they live. Every vehicle has its own Payments section with Czech QR payment, due-date reminders and its own monthly summary. A car's payments also feed the dashboard and the cost per kilometre.

What things cost monthly — everywhere
Finance, Subscriptions, Properties and Cars all open with the same summary: what the section costs per month and per year, with a one-tap breakdown by category. Semi-annual and annual payments count only their fair monthly share. Each property and car also shows its monthly cost right in the list.

Hide amounts
Showing someone your phone? Tap the eye next to the amount — every amount in the app hides while names and dates stay readable. Flipping the phone face down and back works too. In the app switcher, amounts hide automatically.

Small things
Tapping a tab always takes you to that section's main screen. Cards and summaries are aligned to one width across the app.

### 1.3.2 — 2026-08-23

More dependable iCloud sync
The status row in Settings → Data will no longer say "Synced" while your data is actually stuck on the device. When sync breaks, the app notices on its own, shows the real reason, and offers a one-tap repair: the local copy is set aside and everything downloads fresh from iCloud. Nothing is deleted — the set-aside copy stays on the device.

A household is created only after the first import
A fresh install now waits for your existing household to arrive from iCloud instead of immediately minting its own. No more duplicate households — or doubled cars and payments — when signing in on a new device.

Under the hood
Family sharing can no longer create relationships across iCloud storage zones — the rare combination that could silently stall sync while everything looked fine. Anyone who ever ran into it can resolve it after updating with the Repair sync button in Settings → Data.

### 1.3.1 — 2026-08-22

Central Brain on your Mac
The app is now available on Apple silicon Macs. Download it from the Mac App Store as part of the same purchase you already made — your Premium and your data carry over through iCloud, with nothing to set up again. Entering things is finally comfortable: a full keyboard, the clipboard, shortcuts (⌘N new vehicle, ⇧⌘N new payment, ⌘, settings) and a window whose width the content actually uses. A sidebar replaces the bottom tab bar, so every section stays in view.

Cost per kilometre now tells the truth
A vehicle shows two numbers instead of one. Fuel cost per km is measured over exactly the full-tank-to-full-tank stretches consumption is measured on. Running costs add service and the vehicle's payments — but only their share of the period the fuel log actually covers; an annual premium contributes its fraction, not its whole amount. Previously the vehicle's entire cost history was divided by its last few kilometres, and a single typo in a service price could produce an absurd figure.

Service history can be corrected
A price typed with one digit too many is no longer forever. Tap a service entry to edit its date, odometer, price and note — or delete it. Correcting the newest service also realigns the interval's countdown.

Subscriptions with service logos
A subscription tile shows the icon the service itself publishes on its own website — fetched once and kept on the device. Settings → Appearance can turn logos off, which also deletes what was downloaded.

Your iCloud data now loads on the first launch
If you had Premium and installed the app on a new device, it could open empty and only fill in after a restart. Premium is now recognised earlier, and if it still arrives late the app tells you what is happening instead of staying silent.

Family sharing now actually sends the invitation
A household invitation could be created, but the message carrying it never went out — and the app said nothing. Both are fixed, and a new screen shows who has access to the household and what they may do; change a role in one tap, or stop sharing altogether. Nobody gets in without an invitation.

Small things
The widget speaks Czech. The fuel log refreshes the moment you save a correction, not when you revisit the screen.
