There is some strange behaviour when trying to log in and for a moment there some kind of background screen before it flickers on to the email address sign on page. I don’t get any further as I don’t receive email access codes to reset my password that I have forgotten. Very frustrating and there ought to be an easier way to fix log in issues ### 4/5 — Glitch *2026-06-21, version 2.3.1* The app is ok, simple to understand and use I just wish they’d fix the weekend games. They keep sending me notifications to say the game is live but when I open it the game doesn’t load 🤷‍♀️ ### 3/5 — App barcode not the same as card *2026-01-02, version 2.3.1* It’s a good app but I have to use my old physical card to scan else I don’t get points. If I lose my card I’m stuck. Can you tell me if there is a way to fix it? ### 2/5 — Don’t bother *2025-10-07, version 2.3.1* Why oh why did you bother with this? The Coop membership process has been going downhill since they decided to move away from physical cards. Having to access the membership through Klarna was a backward step, particularly as our coop has zero phone signal, but attempting to get this new app, advertised at our store, has been a a waste of time. It wants you to join up, then complains that you are already a member, but it won’t accept an existing membership number. Very confusing! ### 2/5 — Why make it so tricky to show loyalty? *2025-08-21, version 1.9* I ordered my co-op loyalty card last month as I use my local store and the offers seem good and I wanted in. I paid a £1 and received my card in the mail…..as with many other shoppers though when I went to use it for the first time, I even told the girl at checkout how buzzing I was to have the card and finally take up some decent offers and low n behold she told me I had the wrong co-op card and needed the honeycomb card. There are 2 separate co-ops apparently? Ive now paid to join the co-op loyalists in Allenton and my experience isn’t unique at all, come on co-op keep it simple 😎 ### 1/5 — Card *2025-08-14, version 1.9* I got charged £1 for the blue co op app and can’t even use it in store it’s a con don’t bother guys. ### 1/5 — NOT user friendly at all *2025-07-12, version 1.9* Pretty useless. Can’t activate the card, even though I’m holding it in my hand and looking at my name and ref number on it, the app says it’s wrong. But if you’re an OAP you get all these freebies ### 3/5 — Apple Pay *2025-06-12, version 1.9* Hey, I am trying to pay the £1 to join and I would like to use Apple Pay, can you please add this. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Irritating ads and patronising content *2026-06-21, version 2.3.1* Firstly, this app needs to show the card barcode, even when it’s mysteriously logged you out and has trouble with the apparently incredibly complicated task of logging you back in. Secondly, I am sick of these adverts pop up advert that prevents me getting to the barcode while it loads, or fails to load. Thirdly, stop treating me like a feeble-minded child and perhaps aim your language at adults? Oh, and they’re not ‘colleagues’, as I don’t work with them. Politically-correct nonsense. Shop assistant, is the phrase you’re after - they assist shoppers, or at least some of them try to, whilst struggling with poorly-designed apps, dodgy pricing, and an endemic lack of stock. Do better. ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2026-03-02, version 2.3.1* Not sending back emails with code for me to join, this has been going on for months, even staff in my local shop are baffled when they try to help me ### 1/5 — Bad app and worse system *2026-02-07, version 2.3.1* Ridiculous that there are five different co-op groups and you need a separate card for each, not at all in line with the actual values of a Cooperative and not helpful for shoppers, making you sign up for five different schemes to get money off basic necessities needed to exist. You should swap the confirm and cancel buttons as most apps have them the other way round so you are making very inaccessible making the app frustrating to use. You also don’t allow users to go back so after making a mistake while signing up they have to redo the process ### 1/5 — Can’t log in *2025-12-28, version 2.3.1* I have a central coop membership with the physical cards but wanted to have a digital version as well when I try to log in it just comes up saying I need to pay but I already have when I first got the card I’m not paying another pound. ### 1/5 — Easily the worst supermarket app out there *2025-11-07, version 2.3.1* It’s locked me out unnecessarily, so many times. It doesn’t allow passwords without having to send verification codes - and now, once again, it isn’t working Not to mention that when it did work the point system was abysmal. Didn’t update in real time and it simply made no sense as to what the points were worth. The icing on the cake..? The whole Co op shops are split up into different parts, so when you try to speak to someone on the phone they all pass the buck to another department.
