On a first look at just the parts of the park I know best, it’s a mostly good experience - I do see some incorrect IDs (several mature juneberry trees shown as mulberry) and some very offputting content (super weird vibe in the Untermeyer Fountain description). If they would modernize the editorial approach and update at least the major features and statues that have changed since 2015, the app would be more accessible. And from what I’ve seen, it’s pretty up-to-date on trees too, based on my limited use. I do wish it had progressed more, with a visual glossary, better zoom (north woods are a bit too dense to easily find trees), etc, but already there’s an enormous amount of work gone into it for such a little price. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that it needs a filter. For instance, if I want to find the single example of Lea’s Oak, I should be able to easily do so by touching the key entry.
