### 2/5 — Strange instance

*2025-04-06, version 5.0*

So for some time now I’ve noticed this app doesn’t actually adhere to an upright phone or a horizontal phone and the buttons don’t recognize that and the layout doesn’t rearrange to make it visible it’s kind of frustrating. I have a backup spreadsheet that I use also for instances like this.

### 2/5 — Keeps shutting down

*2025-02-23, version 5.0*

Whenever Im using the app it suddenly shuts down and I have to start over entering something. Not just a few times but almost every time.

### 4/5 — Really Nice UI

*2024-09-10, version 4.16.2*

I really like this app! Helps me keep track of my main home inventory. I wish I was able to add home maintenance and improvements to a calendar so I can look back. I also wish you could view all items in one location.

### 3/5 — Requested Deletion, Got Marketing Instead

*2022-09-11, version 4.1.1*

Updated to 3 stars because the app indeed seems useful. Would like to see account deletion available within the app to avoid a missing confirmation email, and email marketing unsubscribe should be immediate.

### 3/5 — What has happened?

*2022-09-03, version 4.1.1*

I got this shortly after it came out when noted on “This Old House,” and loved it. Then they wanted to make more money on it and started charging. I can understand the need and desire to do this, but for a homeowner primarily wanting to archive purchase records, I thought they were overcharging. Today I wanted to reconsider, but could not find what they charge. The App Store has a section for costs, but there is none I could find. Are they ashamed of what they are doing?

### 2/5 — Appears to be nothing more than a data collection tool

*2022-07-26, version 4.0.0*

I was hoping this app would actually provide some useful information about my dryer. Instead, it only provides a place for me to store website URL’s and parts orders. It does. I thing to help find parts.

Very disappointing.

### 2/5 — Darn - used to love it…

*2022-01-13, version 4.0.0*

Love parts of Zolve and Centriq, but the pricing model is just way over the top. Understood there needs to be some monetization, but the numbers are just out of reality for need. Perhaps Centriq could take on more of a crowdsourced model to reduce their operating expenses where users could upload the proper info for others. They beat out everyone else for the scanning and document uploads, but the amount of money / year is just too much. I’d be willing to do like $12 per year, but the numbers there just can’t match up.

### 3/5 — Updated review after developer response

*2022-01-12, version 4.0.0*

They responded to my earlier two star review and gave me a link to update my review - but it seems to be creating a new review rather than letting me update the prior one(?). I don’t know if it’s supposed to work that way or not.

But I added a star back after their response because I like the product. But honestly the response was hokey. I stand by my original posting. For those of us who signed up originally and spent all that time setting up all our our equipment into the app (yes our time is money too) - it still feels like we got bamboozled. If we knew the app wasn’t going to be free later - we never would have gone done that road to begin with. I certainly would not have. Now it’s pay or have a crippled app….which will eventually be useless as products break and get replaced. I don’t know why the folks who run this company miss that simple point… make your money on those who sign up after the business model changed. They knew what they were getting into. Thanks

### 2/5 — Description needs to be updated

*2021-10-03, version 4.0.0*

You get 5 free entries then you need to pay. It doesn’t mention that in App Store, you have to go to theirs website.

Now on the other hand works awesome and is super easy, I’d love to use this app. If it wasn’t $60 a year I’d probably go for it.

### 2/5 — App is now paid subscription

*2021-08-15, version 4.0.0*

I’ve been using this app with success for a few years. I went to add a product today and received a message that I’ve maxed out on items and they developer is making the app a paid subscription service. This will now join the graveyard of apps that I used to to use that have now done a bait and switch to a paid subscription model, which I loathe. I’d rather just download PDFs from the manufacturer. Goodbye, Centriq.

### 4/5 — Too Expensive

*2021-08-01, version 4.0.0*

First off, great app! Very practical, excellent features and smart! I love the idea of being able to track and organize all my home appliances and tools but for something I’ll use maybe 4 times a year once it’s set up there is no way I’m going to pay $99 annually. Offer an unlocked version for $150 and I’d consider coming back.

### 5/5 — A really great app

*2021-07-20, version 4.0.0*

I started using this app a few weeks ago and have been able to easily load almost anything with an on/off switch that I own into it. It’s great for keeping track of warranties and owners manuals. I had a fan that I purchased over a year ago that broke a few months back. I had no idea it had a 2 year warranty until this app notified me of it…I have since submitted a claim and will hopefully either get it repaired or replaced. Thanks Centriq!!!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Won’t let me create an account!

*2025-08-29, version 5.1*

I have been trying for several days now to create an account, but all I get is a red banner with a message that says there was an error. I tried to email Support and the message just bounces back

### 1/5 — Price gouging

*2023-09-17, version 4.7*

The app seems to work well, however the cost per unit is insanely expensive, the free version limits you to 5 items which won’t work for a majority of home users.

If the app was $10 per month for 1-20 units then it would be worth it, but $10 per unit per month is too much.

### 1/5 — Bait and Switch

*2023-07-20, version 4.5*

I’m late to the review party, but fully disappointed with the bait and switch that occurred when they switched business models. Hadn’t realized the effect of the switch until after I deleted a fridge and tried to add a new one. Nope, now you need to pay for that. Well guess what, now I don’t use the app so both Centriq and I lose.

### 1/5 — Not free?

*2022-08-14, version 4.1*

I didn’t see anywhere that this app isn’t free. Downloaded it started adding appliances, added maybe 5 and THEN it says to upgrade to a paid app because I’d added my limited amount of things. Tell us upfront if we need to pay BEFORE we download. Deleted.

### 1/5 — This shouldn’t be a subscription.

*2022-07-17, version 4.0.0*

We have reached subscription dystopia. Every app wants me to pay them for my whole life. Can I just pay $10 to $20 for the app and be able to use it for a whole lifetime? That’s the real value of this app. Asking homeowners to pay any much more and indefinitely is kind of too much. I feel like subscriptions are killing businesses and are hurting consumers.

### 1/5 — Awesome Idea, Ignorant Pricing Plan

*2022-03-12, version 4.0.0*

While the app offers a lot of helpful organization tools, it’s not worth $100 a year. Will keep my paper copies of manuals and receipts that are rarely accessed/needed than spend $100 A YEAR

### 1/5 — Buggy mess

*2022-01-22, version 4.0.0*

Wouldn’t open for me at first. Then it finally would open but wouldn’t let me get past the first screen. Don’t bother.

### 1/5 — Subscription-based

*2021-12-13, version 4.0.0*

They said storing residential/consumer data got to be too expensive and rather than shut off the service, allow them to pay for it. I don’t know how they store their data that justifies the cost of their subscriptions starting at the beginning of 2021.

The prior three years of using the app were great, but $60/year for 100 items, an inventory system I will not use daily, weekly, or likely monthly is a bit steep. I don’t see grand new features either to justify the cost. Relative to Google Storage charging $24 for 100 GB of storage for a year, that is the better value and there is no way 100 items could come close to using 100 GB. I assume in the MBs, as items in the inventory would be shared among users with relationships built between user and item.

I guess in a sentence, I’m disappointed in the cost structure.

### 1/5 — $$$

*2021-05-29, version 4.0.0*

Waaaaay to expensive to provide any value.

### 1/5 — Deceptive Pricing

*2021-03-03, version 4.0.0*

I would not have loaded this app if it said you could only load 5 items before getting the need to upgrade to add more.
Lost confidence right away.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Perfect Record Keeper & More

*2025-07-25, version 5.1*

I had this app for some time and if you take the time to enter the data as little or as much as you want, make and model where purchased, any extended warranties, price etc, you can add photos of your own items if you like or just the make and model. The feedback is very helpful. This will give you any recall information, life expectancies and how many years you could expect based on industry standards. The data for collecting manuals, part lists, electrical diagrams is a huge time saver when you need a part and there are videos there to assist you with some of the more common part replacements geared toward your appliance make and mod and not one not even close but came up on a specific search.
This info could be very helpful if you ever had a fire and all your paperwork was gone, and you are trying to remember what you had, you have it all handy. What you paid, when and where. This could be vital with payment from insurance if you tell them it was 15 years old and in reality only 8. I am a detailed oriented person, I like having one place I can go to keep track of my purchases. I wish there was a way to enter data for parts you replaced. As a person who will fix all his own things having that data of when I replaced a pump on my dishwasher so now I keep it on the manual when an oven ignitor was replaced etc. no in app purchase required. Not "free" once you add a credit card and if you forget to cancel they hit you with a big bill and then trying to get your money back or even cancelling they don't make it easy. This is FREE, no obligations. Hands down the best app I have seen for keeping the data of your purchases easily accessible.

### 5/5 — Good UX

*2024-12-05, version 5.0*

4.5 out of 5
Very well designed. I’m picky when it comes to apps. This one was clearly well thought out. And overall good user experience.

First of all, I love the business model - that if you only own one home, you get all the features. Seems smart from both a consumer standpoint & a business standpoint. Single homeowners reap the benefits & if they ever start buying property, they know what to use to manage things.

In the past, I’ve had tons of notes & documents & bookmarks keeping track of paint colors & appliances & light fixtures & measurements & manuals. It’s great to finally have it all in once place & for both my husband & me to be able to quickly access that info - whether we’re in the house or at the hardware store or up in the attic.

Love that you can upload the pics & they’ll add all the details. I’m inpatient, so I usually just add it myself.

There are a few nitpicky things/suggestions:
- home page is meh. Half of it is a big banner & my own address or random notifications about updated products which I don’t really care about.
- once I add a lot of products, the app starts to get slow & laggy & crashes
- can’t rotate photos in the app (when I’m behind an appliance taking a pic, it comes out upside down. I end up just taking the pic on my camera.)
- no way to remove/edit the info that automatically populates - especially important for the generic videos (e.g. remove a generic “how to paint” video from my bucket of paint)
- no special fields based on the product type. i.e. if it’s a toothbrush, it shouldn’t have a “date installed” or a can of paint can’t have a model number for the bucket of paint & a number for the color. Or a lightbulb you can’t add the lumens, CCT, etc.

### 5/5 — Great service

*2024-07-17, version 4.15*

Whenever I have a problem they take care of it and a real person emails me not some AI bot. The app is free and easy to use, better than anything else I’ve tried. Easy to organize items by room/group and to add tasks or reminders like replacing a filter.

### 5/5 — Must have App!

*2024-02-13, version 4.11.0*

Love this app. All my manuals and how to videos in one place for everything. Very cool!

### 5/5 — Great tech!

*2023-10-27, version 4.8*

Awesome app! Managing home repairs for all products just got a lot easier

### 5/5 — Worth every penny

*2022-04-24, version 4.0.0*

I am happy to pay for this service. Having manuals, parts/accessories, etc. all in one place has made my life so much easier.

I wish they would include plant and lawn care too - with reminders or advice for when to prune, fertilize, etc. Obviously there are other apps for that but having it all in one home management app would be awesome.

### 5/5 — Good App But Beware

*2022-01-22, version 4.0.0*

I was disappointed that I spent time loading data into the app only to find there was a limit before asking for money. I my knowledge that wasn’t disclosed up front when I started using the app. I haven’t found any useful formation curated by the app. I have had to input all the useful information and pictures myself. I’m not willing to pay for an app that it just organizing my stay. I can do it myself.

### 5/5 — Invaluable File Keeping Tool for Homeowners!

*2022-01-17, version 4.0.0*

This company is legitimate and service they offer keeping your items and documents, receipts and warranties all in one place is genius and is worth the price to me. Not only is it easier to put your items in but they find the manual and accessory maintenance equipment with links also! I have reached out to customer support several times and have always got timely responses. I just hope they stay available for next 50yrs, but if not they do have a way to export all your information. Thank you for providing this great service tool!

### 5/5 — Best Inventory manager yet

*2021-10-30, version 4.0.0*

Love this app. Take a picture of the label of your product, and voila! Kept in nice organized file cabinets. Most of the time it will populate operators manuals, accessories, and month and year of manufactured. It does have it flaws. For example, it has a “did we get it right” thumbs up or down. It doesn’t remember your answer. So I often forget it I thumbed up or down. Something I enjoy doing to help make the app better. Tech support is amount the best. You can message within the app. Much better than crappy email.

### 5/5 — Great App for anyone

*2021-08-31, version 4.0.0*

Well if you have less than 2 items then maybe not for you. Centriq is great at getting done what you always said you were going to get done by organizing all your manuals and receipts in an easy to find format.
