I tried logging into my Canvas account (like the website said) and it still won’t let me in. How do I know if my school uses this program? We use Canvas and it says it supported. Just make sure to meet your deadlines on time!! You need to finish before the deadline because of how many reviews there are. It requires you to take a break which is needed. I would give it a 5 if everything was perfect. My only issue is the text-to-speech feature. Occasionally i have to look away or need help pronouncing a word. Only issue is it either pronounces really funny or really fast and it just sounds all jumbled up. Kind of like a robot for reference. Overall its an amazing app. Tbh i would give it a 4.5 if i could. ### 3/5 — great visual appearance but annoying UI *2022-07-10, version 5.1.3* Learning algorithm is great but the submit button often leads to wrong answers because its hitbox is way to small. Often one taps on submit but it presses the answer underneath too and it gets submitted. I use the text to speech quite a lot but sometimes it won’t work. For example, it will not allow the word to be spoken or it will say a bunch of gibberish. I liked doing it on my phone because it made it quick and easy. I never ran into any problems for the first four weeks of school UNTIL last week when my app decided to randomly crash every time I click on the chapter I am wanting to review. Now every time I go to a chapter, BAM, app crashes. Even deleted the app and reinstalled it hoping that would fix the issue but still nothing. Such a bummer. It was an awesome app while it lasted. Ever since I opened this app, my brain cells have depleted and I’ve been tormented. I haven’t been able to sleep because I’ve been constantly thinking about this ridiculous app and my assignments. One of the worst things I’ve experienced was the breaks that it forces me to take. After 20% completion on an assignment it makes me take an 8 hour break. Ridiculous. Never touching this again. ### 1/5 — TEACHERS AND PROFESSORS STOP USING THIS APP *2024-09-26, version 5.2.6* I’m so sick and tired of this stupid app. Some of us don’t have time to keep coming back multiple days in a row to do ONE assignment. I should be able to just get it done when I can. The fact that I have to sit here and wait 5 hours between each break and each break only gives me like 2-5 questions to review out of 30 SO I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER 5 HOURS TO REVIEW 2-5 MORE AND EVEN WHEN GETTING THEM RIGHT STILL DOESNT GIVE ME MUCH PROGRESSION OR LET ME FINISH MY ASSIGNMENT IS REDICULOUS! I can’t check my app and continue an assignment every 5 hours. Not being able to complete the assignment in a couple days is terrible. I’ve been doing them every day at the suggested time and the module will go up by less than 5% sometimes. The time required to get 100% on a module is ridiculous. ### 1/5 — Cerego is ruining my school experience *2021-09-12, version 5.0.92* It does not account for different learners. I spent 6+ hours speaking to Cengage support until I finally received a copy of the manuals and watched every tutorial for how it was set up to actually understand how it’s formulated. Number 1. The program itself while it seemed cool at first is a disaster. Tuesday I did 30 problems, all correct. It said to take a break but before I downloaded the app, I have no idea how long, based on what my professor told me it was 24 hours. I did not get another chance to log in until Friday. 30 questions all correct. This brought me to 81% Number 2. No one seems to understand the actual reset time. 2PM Friday… It said I had to wait 2 days to try concepts again. I was told at maximum it would be 24 hours leading me to see no reason why I couldn’t complete this Saturday. Hours of support later… I let it go because Sunday is the due day, I would have still had time to do it before it was due at 11:55 PM. Number 3. 2 days apparently doesn’t actually mean 2 days. I downloaded the app specifically to watch the countdown and be alerted so I could be sure to complete my work on time, and now I’m seeing that I will not be able to work on concepts again until 1:30AM Monday. Thanks for making my professor hate me because I constantly have to explain these inconsistencies. Number 4. I was told I’d be able to complete this in 15-20 minutes over 2-3 days. Fine. But I already have a problem with anyone assuming I’m cramming because I work on one class at a time until completion… assigning one class each day throughout the week. I will mix up the information and will not absorb things the same way if I attempt to switch my concentration multiple times. That is exactly why I chose online classes and handpicked ones in a way I could organize Number 5. This program also doesn’t account for people who are disabled. I *have* to work the way I work because my mind and body will crash at a certain point. I need to have days designated to be sick. I’m already sick and on harsh medications, and I can only fight through it for so long. Number 6. The lack of specific consistency means I can’t accurately plan anything in my life. The algorithm is based on performance, so if one section I do great, it could force 2 days breaks or if another section I struggled with.. who knows? It’s unpredictable. It’s supposed to help, but it isn’t helpful, it’s literally making my favorite class that I feel confident in, absolutely miserable. Number 7.
