¿Qué es CERVANTES VR?

Es una experiencia de Realidad Virtual estereoscópica con historias y personajes, paisajes y patrimonio cultural en imagen real 360º, con ilustraciones y animación en un entorno virtual, inmersivo e interactivo.

Lo que sabemos acerca de la biografía de Miguel de Cervantes encierra casi tantas lagunas como certezas. Pero es mucho lo que podemos conocer de la época que le toco vivir y de su obra viajando junto a él gracias a CERVANTES VR.

El espectador, situado virtualmente en el centro de la escena, viajará al interior de la mente de Cervantes, a su desbordada imaginación y al momento mismo de la creación de escenas y personajes.

Escenarios reales e imaginados, por los que transcurrió su vida: la batalla de Lepanto contra los turcos, su cautiverio de cinco años en Argel y sus frustrados intentos de fuga, los corrales de comedías donde alimentó su pasión por el teatro, la casa que le vio nacer en Alcalá de Henares.

La cámara de vídeo 360º y los dispositivos de realidad virtual permitirán al espectador vivir el siglo de oro español en primera persona. Cervantes, Sancho y Quijote van a interactuar directamente con el espectador, también protagonista, al situarse virtualmente en la escena, y poder decidir qué ver, cómo y cuándo gracias a la navegación interactiva basada en el movimiento del dispositivo de Realidad Virtual instalado sobre su cabeza.

Cervantes VR es una herramienta que busca ayudar al público a entender al escritor y su obra así como situar al lector en su época.

Cervantes VR es un proyecto innovador, el primero en el mundo de sus características que se convertirá en un referente de la Realidad Virtual aplicada a la cultura y que se apoya en la humanidad y humor presentes en los textos y personajes creados por Cervantes.

Apuesta por la calidad artística de los rodajes, el guión, las localizaciones, la actuación de los personajes, el diseño gráfico, el sonido, el gran nivel técnico y el carácter pionero del proyecto.

Es la consecución de un proyecto que persigue la unión de la narración, cultura, tecnología de Realidad Virtual y su difusión dentro y fuera de España.
