Buying tickets online is very easy. You need a CFR Călători account that you easily create with your email. Select the departure and destination stations and select the train with the hours that fits for you. Choose which class you are travelling to and the number of passengers. After you see the transaction price, you will fill in the passengers' first and last names. At the end, enter your card details and complete the order. You will receive in the app, by SMS and email an Id (ticket identification number) that you show to the conductor at checking tickets. If you can’t register you can’t book tickets so I’m screwed. Update: I’ve now managed to get past this page, changed my password but now the app keeps telling me ‘invalid password’ even though I am putting in the exact same password I just changed it to. It’s almost as if CFR have deliberately made their app as unusable as possible. Further update: you can’t even buy international tickets on this app, even for trains operated by CFR which run to Bucharest.
