## What is Chadema Digital?

Chadema is a center-right political party in Tanzania. It campaigns largely on an anti-corruption platform. The name is short for Chama cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo, Swahili for Party for Democracy and Progress.

The party was founded on 28th May 1992 after the pressure from the international community calling for opening of democratic space in politics. Currently Chadema is the largest opposition party in Tanzania
