I’m using the password app to make sure everything is identical and tried deleting and reinstalling the app and still nothing. Poor quality audio and a 2 to 3 second time lag. I hope you get it to work, but you’re not there yet! ### 1/5 — Quality just not good enough *2022-05-15* This is a great idea, which unfortunately does not yet deliver. In use, with a pillion, there is a huge delay, making conversation very difficult. The delay also varies in length, so you can’t even ‘allow for it’. Worse still, the signal quality has such an impact on the clarity, that countryside riding makes conversation worse still, to the point where we gave up. I’d love this to work but at the moment, I think I’ll be forced to leave my beautiful Ruroc helmet at home, so that I can use a simpler Bluetooth intercom in my old lid. ### 2/5 — Good concept but not there yet *2022-05-10* This is a really good concept, but the times I have tried to use it it has dropped out and didn’t reconnect. When it did work it was good, but unfortunately didn’t last the entirety of the ride ### 1/5 — Woeful at best *2022-04-24* I normally use discord for group rides but tried this on a return journey today. Discord used 11% battery (confirmed in battery settings) yet on a shorter quicker route back Chain used 25%! Not only that but the delays were terrible meaning we ended up talking over each other etc ### 1/5 — Will check it out again when bugs are worked out *2022-04-05, version 1.0.2* Couldn’t even creat an account, the create an account page glitches and doesn’t let you select the box the accept terms and conditions not allowing you to continue. Maybe an update will have that option ### 2/5 — As of yet, not convinced. *2022-03-27* Whilst the idea is there, this doesn’t work very well (for me at least) I have 2 friends that use Packtalk Bold units, have asked them to get the Chain app, we have all signed in to the ride that I have created, but there’s sometimes a major delay on the signal being sent to and from the devices. Sometimes nearly 5 seconds. And if you lock your phone (to not kill the battery) It exits the group chat automatically. We finally got to take our first moto trip of the season last weekend and we’re so excited to use our new helmets/shockwaves. But the app wouldn’t even allow us to log in. The app has yet to be fixed and won’t even allow for an official report to be placed on their website. I use it in a large group ride, the riders never heard of this app until I introduced it to them and they love it! There is no other app like it. I use this app with my cardo edge and it works flawlessly. Don’t be afraid of trying it out. Hate to say it but works for IPhone not for Android. Hoping they fix it works so easily and clear even with background noise. It offers you way to communicate with your ride group irrespective of the brand of their comms. Would like to see the ability to listen to music on my default music app while remaining connected to my group.
